  • Do United States Marine Corps soldiers get the deployment date on the day they are notified that they'll be deployed?

Or, is this something they don't receive until right before being deployed? Also, what about when it's time to return home? I am writing a story, something I love to do. The male character is in the USMC, I've been able to research most or all of the truthful details of the position he holds. But, not this. I don't like to put inaccurate details in my writing. Thanks very much for any positive help!!

  • Just bought a 2013 Chevy Impala, and everytime I apply the brake it makes noises.?

Just bought a 2013 Chevy Impala, and everytime I apply the brake it makes noises. It's not the grinding sound I've been known to hear when the brakes are bad, but more like a rattling or scraping(maybe, not 100% scraping) sound. Do the brakes need to be changed already? It's after the 7 days return period, so don't think I can take it back. Bought from Enterprise on 2/26, who I figured would be more reputable than the last place I got my old car from. Mechanic is not open today, and I'm a little concerned.

  • How do I know if my knee is infected?

I fell on Wednesday, almost five days ago and scrapped my knee bad. Also have a swollen ankle. But the knee is extremely painful. I can barely walk and when i do its on the top of my foot. Can't walk on my heel. Today just started feeling pain in wat feels like near the bone. Sharp pain shoots out of it sometimes during the day. My question is should i go to the doctor, i don't have insurance and can't imagine the bill I'll have. But I'm sort of a hypochondriac and can just imagine this gettin worse and me having no leg. Ha! Please don't make fun. Best and most thoughtful answer, will be voted BEST! Will try posting pics. Not really sure how. Thanks!

  • How do you start initially investing into the stock market or for bonds?

I'm 25 and have wanted to begin little by little in the stock market. The thing is I don't know where to start either by finding a stock broker or company where I can invest into. I worked for five years at a corporation here in PA and we had a TIAA CREF 401K plan but I am no longer with them and want to know how to do this to make money on my own with the stock market. Thanks.

  • I was recently served with an eviction notice and locked out?

I was recently served with an eviction notice and locked out of my apartment for failure to pay rent. At the current time I am unable to access my lease to read what the procedures would be in a case such as this. At the time that the sheriffs arrived, the message that was relayed to me was to contact the property manager in regards to any possesions left. I have been doing this for days to no avail. Do I have any legal standing at all against my landlord? Will I be granted my things back? I was told that I would have to take them to small claims court? I understand it can be written into the lease that these things are the property of the landlords for failure to pay rent but I've someone whose been evicted a handful of times who was always granted the right to return for his/her things. Is there a legal way a landlord can take a tenants things for failure to pay? If so, can anything be done about me being told to return for the things when in all actuality, I can't. Thanks,

    Monique

Also, I wanted to add that I did not receive a notice of eviction from the courts notifying me of a possible threat to my apartment.

  • What does it mean when your left eye jumps?

My left eye is really annoying me right now. Lol. It keeps jumping. Some have told me it means there's an upcoming death in the family, because it's the left eye. Some have said stress. Some have said good things will happen, bad things will happen. I don't know anymore. I'm confused. If you can, please help me. Thanks. It doesn't happen frequently, thank goodness. But, when it does, annoying just isn't the word!!!!

  • How is the singer Jeremih's name pronounced?

I am having a little debate with some friends. Can anyone tell me for certain how the R&B singer Jeremih's name is said? He is the singer of the now hit record "Birthday Sex". I am in love with this song and think he's trying to be different by pronouncing it like Jeremy. Am I wrong?

  • What does it mean to get bondage on your teeth?

I usually am able to answer my best friends questions or at least search it on the internet, but can't seem to find anything on this subject. He was given the option to get bondage on his teeth and we are both unsure of what this means. He was going to ask his dentist but he wants to know now before his appointment so he can research this more. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Someone told me it means braces, but I've never heard it referred to as bondage. Again, thanks for any help at all!

  • In the city of Philadelphia, PA if you fail your learner's permit after three times, is there a six month wait?

I am trying really hard to pass my learner's permit test but have failed it twice. A friend said that after the third time you either have to pay again or you have to wait six month's until you can try again. When I went the first time, I did find out that you don't have to pay until you pass. But, as for the six month thing, I don't know. Does anyone know if this is true?

  • How do you determine if a Philadelphia Eagles ticket is real or fake?

I am considering purchasing tickets to the Dallas game from a site like Stubhub.com or Craigslist.org,but I'm a little apprehensive because the tickets are not for me,they are a gift so I won't be at the game. While I'm not a huge football fan,I do love the Eagles but haven't been to a game so therefore I don't know how to determine a real ticket from a fake. Thanks for any help.

  • Are hemorrhoids treated by gastroenterologists?(Doctors of digestive disease)?

I work at a switchboard for a major university and hospital. We are based on the university side but for some reason the callers expect us to know all medical questions. This one caller wanted to verify that hemroids are indeed treated by gastroenterology doctors. Is this true?
