Please Help us!

My wife and I just moved into an apartment in Washington, 4 months ago with signing a 6 month lease.we specifically asked the manager for a quiet place. she said that you have found your desired place.she told us that they may have only one- day construction to change the windows and it's not a big deal.she lied to us ,( a huge lie!)

then since 2 month ago thay have started big construction ,changing part of exterior siding, deck, windows, there is a lot of banging ,drillingon walls starting 8am everyday ,they even came inside our units to change the windows. everybody has our apartment key to enter. one of them even took pictures inside our unit.

my wife is a desginer she need a quiet place to work, not only we are loosing money but also our life is screwed because of the stressfull place that we are living,

i asked the manager to waive at least one month rent which is $850. but she said that on our contract we have signed that they can do any construction they need.

my complaint is 1-why the manager didnot tell us about this in the first place

2- she is not helpful and she is saying that if I try to sue them ,the cost of court would be very high and we would loose anyway because they are a big company and they have good lawers .

what s your suggestions?

I was charged , the other driver was cited. I got a ticket.I don't know if the other driver got a ticket ?!

two witnesses have told the cops that I was going 35 mph on a 25 mph zone, suddenly a car turned left in front of me (he was coming from the opposite side). I got a ticket from cops for speeding. whose fault is it?

the situation is; a woman has an interview in a big store, she asks a guy from customer service to talk to the manager, the employee picks up the phone and uses the sentence above. if it's not polite what would be your reaction? Thanks in advance!!!

I 've heard that americans use this word a lot in different situations.

I know there are a lot but that 'd be great if everyone can tell one or two of them.thanks!
