"The programmer, like the poet, works only slightly removed from pure thought-stuff. He builds castles in the air, from air, creating by exertion of the imagination. Few media of creation are so flexible, so easy to polish and rework, so readily capable of realizing grand conceptual structures. Yet the program construct, unlike the poet's words, is real in the sense that it moves and works, producing visible outputs separate from the construct itself. It prints results, draws pictures, produces sounds, moves arms. The magic of myth and legend has come true in our time." F. Brooks

That is, the abolishment of circumcision on males until the age of majority is met and they are giving informed consent, like any other medical procedure.

  • Why do women ask why...?

... they are disparaged for approaching men? Why do they ask why it's taboo? I've never heard of anyone complaining about a woman who approached a man. I've never even heard a story about how one time this girl approached a guy and was ridiculed or embarrassed.

  • Why did he say, "don't dip into the boss' kool-aid"?

There's a pretty girl where I work. I've been flirting with her tentatively for a couple days, and eventually my boss comes by and tells me she's his something (I forget exactly which slang was used, but it referred to her), and not to dip into the boss' kool-aid.

I've spoken with her enough to know that she's nobody's kool-aid. But I also though he had some kool-aid, as it were, of his own. I may be wrong about that, but still...

  • Ladies*, would you rather...?

    * who are not interested in sex outside of a committed, exclusive relationship

In a world where the overwhelming majority of men (like mid 90s percent) are not willing to commit to a relationship before the relationship becomes sexual, would you rather be lied to about the guys intentions (and possibly cheated on) on the chance that it might grow into a successful, exclusive relationship (the one you wanted from the beginning), or wander alone for the first couple decades of your adult life having never had a partner and only a handful of bizarre sexual encounters to ever speak of, to find yourself still alone and in your 30s?

  • Why are there so many women who...?

    1. Have no character (Not willing to work or do uncomfortable things, have no accountability)

    2. Are cold-blooded destroyers-of-hearts (Sleep around, be unfaithful, and when discovered callously dump their complainant or are otherwise unconcerned for the pain they cause)

    3. Act like the world owes them something

And it's almost always the pretty ones.

Of course, there are people of all kinds, in both genders, but it seems like there's something about being a pretty female that predisposes you to this constellation of traits.

There are two popular theories toward the age of Earth, one being that it's somewhere between 4,494,600,000 and 4,585,400,000 years old, while the other puts it right at 5,997 years this year.

  • Why do so many atheists blame religion...?

...for the terrible acts of men?

Religion doesn't MAKE anyone do anything. People have to decide to do something, then act on it. Why can't the blame be laid upon the people who physically commit the awful acts? Isn't blaming religion for these things a form of blame-shifting?
