How can picky eaters eat healthy in college on a crappy meal plan that freshmen are required to have?
I'm a picky eater, so it's frustrating to me when I go to the dining hall for dinner and it's Mexican food day and I won't eat any of it, or it's macncheese day and they have 4 different kinds but they're all spicy, or when all they have is potatoes prepared in 6 different ways offered up as the main meal. They have a salad bar so I can at least eat cucumbers even though I don't like salad. Otherwise the only food is pizza ( if I'm lucky they'll have plain), hot dogs, cheeseburgers, and grilled cheese. Or bagels from their breakfast bar. No matter what I eat I'll be hungry an hour later because the food is terrible over all but I don't want to end up over eating. They also don't have water in the dining hall. It comes out the same nozzle as all the sodas so it never tastes like anything like water and the ice machine doesn't work. I don't know what to do but I want to eat healthy when I'm at school.
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness4 years agoWhy can't I see certain comments on my YouTube videos and how do I fix it?
I got a notification from YouTube on my phone that someone left a comment on my most recent video. When I clicked on it, it took me to the video but the comment wasn't there. I tried logging on to YouTube on my laptop and the comment doesn't show up on the video there either, nor does the notification show up on my laptop.
1 AnswerYouTube5 years agoWhat does "the idea of Catholics in the public square" mean?
I have to write a diocesan essay for my theology class and the last part of the prompt could not have been more vague. The topic is the importance of religious freedom, specifically the challenges Catholics face when government laws and regulations disagree with their beliefs, and the idea of the Catholic in the public square. The website with the prompt has no elaboration on that and it s too late to ask my teacher and he wouldn t help if I did ask. He would just call me stupid.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoWhy is hoop dance not usually recognized as a form of dance?
When I tell people I like to hoop dance they have no idea what I'm talking about. When I tell them it's dancing with a hula hoop they give me funny looks, but there is actually a fairly large community of hoopers across the world and plenty of professional hoopers.
2 AnswersDancing6 years agoHow should I handle my condescending theology teacher?
He told the class we can't renounce our faith because we have no idea what Christianity is about and have no idea what we're renouncing. I've been an atheist since around this time last school year. I'm now a senior in high school, my eighth year spent in a Catholic school, and I'm being told I'm too stupid and unlearned to be allowed to think for myself on such topics? Perhaps he shouldn't be rejecting Odin or Zeus because he knows nothing about either Norse or Greek mythology? I'm afraid I'll get in trouble if I speak out and I don't want to be constantly targeted by this teacher for the rest of the year. He says if we have a problem with him we should be mature and come tell him after class. Usually when you have a problem with someone the mature thing to do would be to just avoid them, not to confront them, and I'm not a confrontational person anyway.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoWhat's the deal with the campaign against makeup shaming? Has anyone actually been shamed for wearing makeup?
I keep seeing things in my news feed on Facebook about girls who post pictures with makeup on only half of their face as a response to a YouTube video someone made about the power of makeup. I've never heard of anyone being shamed for wearing makeup by those who don't wear it. I am the only girl I know who doesn't wear makeup and I've never shamed anyone for wearing it. I've been shamed for not wearing it. I've been told that I have to wear makeup for dressy occasions because some people think it's a requirement for dressing up but I think I look best without it. I tried it once and it felt gross and I wanted it off, but I personally don't care if others use it or have fun with it.
1 AnswerMakeup6 years agoOpinions on the book Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis? Who agrees and who disagrees with it?
I'm reading and outlining it for my Honors Theology 12 class next year and it's probably the worst book I've ever read, and not just because I disagree with most of it. It's boring and he reiterates himself a lot and it's written as if talking to a five year old. It's getting annoying. And I hate having to outline the book, because I can't include my viewpoints when I disagree. I haven't finished yet, and no, I'm not asking any of you to do my summer homework for me. I just like to discuss books and procrastinate on Yahoo Answers.

My favorite is stepping through the hoop while it's vertically spinning around my hands.
1 AnswerOther - Games & Recreation6 years agoCan someone please provide an example of how to do an MLA format in-text website citation?
I checked the Purdue Owl website to find out how to do it but could only find what information needed to be included, not how to set it up.
1 AnswerHomework Help6 years agoHow has Benedict XVI played an active role in the Church since retiring?
This is for a project for my theology class. My teacher claims he's been very active but all my project partners and I could find was that he writes, reads, and prays. Does anyone know of anything else he's done since retiring?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoWho thinks hoolahooping should be a sport?
Hoolahooping is literally how I spend most of my free time. I've gotten to the point where I can hoolahoop around my knees, or just one knee while standing on one foot, and there's all sorts of other cool tricks. Does anyone else hoolahoop as a hobby and think it should be a sport?
1 AnswerOther - Games & Recreation6 years agoHow many people on this site would read a book with a very awkward main character?
I'm writing a book and my main character is painfully shy, incredibly awkward, very introverted, and afraid of talking to most people. Is she still a relatable character? Ik some of my friends can relate to her but we're part of the introverted minority at the school I go to.

First person to come up with the correct answer gets 10 points. I'm an extreme Disney fanatic by the way.
1 AnswerTrivia6 years agoHow can I get in the habit of writing more?
I read books compulsively and I'm filled with ideas and I am writing a book. But reading gets in the way of writing. How can I get in the habit of writing more so I can finish my book hopefully by the end of the school year? Does anyone else who likes to both read and write have this problem and have any ideas?
3 AnswersBooks & Authors6 years agoWhat would be considered an online database source?
I need to find 5 online database sources for an 8 to 10 page paper on pirates of the 16th century, specifically Captain Kidd, Blackbeard, and Henry Morgan, but I'm not sure what what my teacher means by an online database. She said that a lot of colleges have them. Can't it be any website? My bibliography and outline are due Thursday so I need to know as soon as I can.
1 AnswerHomework Help6 years agoDo psychopaths incapable of guilt go to heaven?
I'm an atheist in a Catholic school but I like discussing religion. I've read and heard in school that God forgives those who are sorry, and people who repent can go to heaven. I learned from watching Criminal Minds that there are psychopaths who are incapable of remorse. So if someone incapable of remorse, and thus incapable of repenting to God, committed murder, would he be able to go to heaven? Keeping in mind God would've created him to be unable to feel guilt. Or perhaps the psychopath is more god like because supposedly God created us in his image God does not feel guilt either. I'm simply looking for what a Christian's perspective on this is out of curiosity.
