This isn't a great picture but it may help. on his back he has a big black spot/dot with smaller spots coming of it ( basically like a english rabbit which is why i think he has a bit of english in him)

We have a female cockatiel who is around 3 years old. She sits in her cage all day and only comes out to fly for about an hour every evening. She also feather plucks! We all love her very much but think it would be more fair to re-home her preferably to an aviary where she can fly around and have a better life.

Please could you give me the website/number of any place (aviary) in england that could take her.

We live in london but the reason i'm saying england/ the UK is because i really want to take her to a very large aviary.

However anywhere in or around london would be great!

We have a 2 year old female lutino cockatiel who lives alone. In about 10 months she has layed around 20 unfertilised eggs. Sometimes she lays one every day for about 3 days. Please tell me if this is normal and what we should do!

She also plucks her feathers so please tell me if you no any ways of stopping this.

ps- Whenever shes layed an egg she gets very moody and protects it

We have a female cockatiel called Jaz who always plucks her feathers!

We took her to the avian vet and he gave us some vitamin supplement that didn't do anything.

He said we should mix digestive and egg and give it to her which i ill do today!

he also said we should look on the internet for peoples home methods which is what im asking now!

Question- please tell me how you have stopped your bird plucking

We just bought her a new cage with a few bars as possible but she still bites them which is really annoying and bad for her! I just wandered if there was any substance/s that would taste unpleasant could use to prevent biting them.

And the wheel is to stiff for her to run around in!

So instead she just stores food in it!

i don't think i can buy a new on as it has a tube connecting it to the cage.

Please tell me what to do.

PS- on the second level there are bars around the top and she bites them. I can just about stand it but i really want her to stop!

My hamster about 4 months and i was just wandering which fruit/veg are ok and not okay for her.

I give her:

Lettuce

Carrot

Cucumber

Apple

Strawberry

I was wondering if she could eat tomato, cabbage or Pepper.

Any other things she could eat would be great too.

Its really annoying and bad for her so im going to have to by a new cage without bars.

Can you please recommend any not to expensive, quite big cages without ANY bars.

She does it almost all night and I have to take her downstairs which is annoying as i want her in my room!

We have a 2 year old female cockatiel and shes constantly plucking her feathers. Its only become very serious after we came back from a two week holiday in the summer. I know feather plucking can mean lots of different things like boredom, a lack of vitamins, skin conditions...

1)How can we stop her doing this and at what point should we take her to vet?

2) Should we go to a Specialist vet or is a normal vet ok?

Additional Information

We put some vitamin supplement in her water but it didn't seem to make any difference.

We've tried putting toys in her cage put shes always scared of them.
