I asked my teacher why answer B doesn't apply to retirees, he just laughed and ignored me completely. I'm still upset by this and I still cannot find the answer to my question. Thanks.

Recently I got into a really bad, and pointless, argument with my mom and I've decided to minimize as much confrontation as possible. She's moody, easily angered, and very good at pushing buttons. She's basically a walking landmine and I'm tired of being the guy who has to deactivate the bomb. My dad rarely has the time to talk to her and relieve her anger so she rampages around the house and eventually unloads her anger out on me because my younger brother is always better and more important than me. It also irritates me that I'm the only person in my family that spends time to understand why people behave the way they are. For example, I spent time meditating, or pondering, in my room trying to find a reason why my mom was being aggressive. I had deduced that she's just tired from work and/or dealing with un-cooperative colleagues and clients. Seeing that this is pretty much an endless cycle and I will have to deal with his negative behavior, for all of eternity, I've decided to ask the online community about what food I could cook up in bulk so I can eat on the go. I'm aiming for one-pot meals such as soups, salads, pasta and other goodies. If it gets more complicated than that then I'll just pack everything in tubberware for some good ole' microwaving action. I'm a very adventurous eater so feel free to post some authentic recipes. I'm looking forward to your answers. :D

(I do not even know where to start. I checked the appendix in my lab book for any info on ethylene glycol and the formula for antifreeze and I got nothing. I don't understand this at all.)

Another way of determining the volume of solid makes use of the fact that the difference in the mass of an object determined directly and suspended in water is the mass of the water displaced by the object. Division of this mass by the density of water gives the volume of the water displaced and therefore the volume of the object. Would this method have any advantages over the water displacement method used in this experiment.

I asked my teacher what "directly," meant in the context used above and he said that I should solve it myself.

I'm frustrated because this question is so oddly worded and I can't tell if my answer is right.

The answer I decided on was this: Yes, one advantage is that this method makes it possible to determine the density of wood sponges and other materials that are "directly and suspended," in water. It is more efficient for these types of materials than the standard water displacement method (m/v1-v2).

I'm having problem answering this one particular pre-lab question. The others were fairly straightforward, although I did have to look up some formulas since the lab manual doesn't have any. Any who, this is the problem that's racking my brain.

In addition to NaCl, typical sea water contains about 0.56% by mass compounds (primarily chlorides) of magnesium, calcium and potassium.

My friend's birthday party is coming up and I've been racking my braining to come up with a good present to give her. I really wanted to buy her a small figurine at small wonders, but I know her tabletop is covered with her own personal favorites, so that is out the question. So I was wandering around the mall, looking for nice stuff to buy for her, but I couldn't come up with any good ideas. I settled on making a home-made present, I'll give you the details later, but I felt guilty about being stingy on my budget.

I could buy her clothes or fashionable attire, as my mom suggested, but it felt kind of awkward. I wanted to give my friend something special, something with meaning, something that says, "I put some thought into this and I hope you like it." Anyways, I ask this question because I don't want to be like my other, male, friends who, blatantly, handed me a couple of bucks on my birthday and be done with it. So, ladies, which do you prefer: home-made or store-bought presents, if you had a choice?

Irrelevant information: The present, itself, is a container in a shape of a baby calf and the base has cow-hooves, a little cowbell, and everything. I know that my friend's a snacker, so I stuffed the container with Ferraro Rochers and a bunch of chewy delights. A couple days ago, me and my friend were talking about dating and some cheesy love-dovey stuff, but then we started talking about love. Of course, she was playing me and then it got awkward when she asked if I loved her if she was different. I really wanted to change the subject, but she was persistent. I told her the truth, that no matter what happens I'll always be there for her. Whether she's blind, handicapped, sick, or in a coma, I'll be there. She was all giddy at the thought, but then she asked me this question that I could not answer, "would you love me if I had a penis?"

It took me a while to answer this question, and I told her upfront that I'd swing either way just for her. I felt like an idiot telling her this, but it was well worth it. But this experience really made me think. Just how many of you guys out there who aren't bothered by appearances?

Lately, I've been plagued with telemarketers, advertisers, and the like, but every single time the answering machine rings, my mom wants me to pick it up. She'll tell me that its dad calling home or a relative phoning us, but I keep telling her that we're a quiet family. The thing is, my family don't call each other unless something big is going on. Mom refuses to hear me out and when I do pick up the phone its usually (usually as in 90% of the time) telemarketers, advertisements (automated systems), Craiglist buyers/sellers, and people who think my house is up for sale (I hate these people the most).

To make matters worse, my mom thinks that I have no "tele-communication skills." I don't want to sound disrespectful or arrogant, but I honestly think that its utter bullspit. It's 2013, we have the technology- I don't see why I have to pick up the phone and, manually, scan for important phone calls.

Has anyone experienced something like this? How'd you deal with it?

I took the dmv behind the wheel test and i got marked down for "failing to stop (6 times) at every stop sign" so im pretty pissed off at her for that, but anyways ive calmed down enough to rage at her on my own time.

Anyways, i got marked down on other stuff like right of way, and cutting people off so i need some clarification on these scenarios.

1- a car pulls into your T intersection when your about to leave it (via right turn) and hes clearly midway and going into the intersection

there is no stop sign on your lane, but he has the right of way- and he is the only traffic, and i mean THE ONLY CAR THERE...

are you eligible to go midway?

2- when making a left turn at a neighborhood intersection and nothing is there, should is stop in the middle of the street for (3-5 seconds) and then turn?....

or should i just follow through?

3- When i make a turn for the DMV instructor should i just wait for everything to be clear and just forget about trying to merge with the traffic even though im in a safe position/distance to merge and enter the gap?...

I feel like i wanna over-exaggerate everything they tell me to do.
