    Jax

    Daniel

    Micah

    Zion

    River

    Asher

    Elliot

  • Baby shower invite wording for preferred gifts?

I am making a baby shower invitation, but need a polite/cute way to say that the mama is asking for outfits for baby (#4). She doesn't really need anything else. How to say it in a SHORT but POLITE way on the invitation? Ideas?

  • Best way to ask for financial support for a non-church-based mission trip?

I am affiliated with a church, but the funds will not go to the church to fund me to go, but to ME instead. Our church is small and this trip is only 4 of us going to minister in Connecticut. In my support letter, is it weird for me to ask family to write the check to my name rather than the organization I am affiliated with? Would explaining all this in the letter be dumb?

  • When did you lose your mucous plug?

I have been dilated to 2cm (or more?) for almost 3 weeks, but think I lost my MP yesterday. Is that possible, or does it typically fall out soon after dilation begins?

  • How soon after your false labor did your real labor begin?

I'm 39w/2d and last night, I had about 3 hours of contractions. They were inconsistent, so I didn't rush to the hospital. They ranged from 3 minutes to 10 or more. I thought they might begin to show a pattern and become more consistent, but instead, they just faded away. Wondering now when I might anticipate another round.

What are your personal experiences with false labor?? And, please, I KNOW that baby will come when it's ready...

    Thanks.

  • If your water broke before your labor started, how long did it take to start afterward?

I know it's very uncommon for water to break before laboring contractions begin (only 8% of term pregnancies!), but I'm wondering if it happened to you, how soon afterward did your contractions and real laboring begin? Or...were you induced because they didn't come?

  • How long can I be dilated to 2cm?

I've been 2cm for over a week now (I am 38w/2d) and wondering how long I may stay this way, or if labor may be soon. Personal experiences???

  • How to induce labor naturally at home?

I would rather not have answers that tell me what you've "heard" or "read" as I have probably heard or read them myself. Rather, tell me from EXPERIENCE what worked for you!!! Details, please!! :)

    Thanks! :)

  • What are your tips for having a NATURAL birth in a hospital?

I want to attempt a natural birth in a hospital, but have heard it can be tricky. Even with my doctor knowing how I feel about it, there will be many nurses and hospital staff around who might make it more difficult to have zero interventions...

    Your personal experiences, please???

  • Please share! Is it true that you are likely to deliver/go into labor sooner with each pregnancy?

I am pregnant with my third baby, wondering if I'll make it to my due date. People keep saying, "I don't remember you being this big with your last baby when you were this far along." (Gee, thanks!)

Just wondering if I should prepare to wait or prepare for a little earlier than my due date.

Currently 34 weeks, so I would like to keep him in there, cookin', until at LEAST 3 more weeks to reach full term! ;)

    Share your personal experiences, please?!

  • What first name goes well with the middle name "Faith" for a girl?

We would like the meaning of the name to be meaningful and if possible, biblical. We've been looking for names that mean "strong" or "courageous" but have found nothing that rings with "Faith." Help?

  • Pregnancy constipation...nothing seems to be working?

I am 11 weeks pregnant and have been soooo irregular with my bowel movements. I know it may be TMI, but I am fine one day (nice and easy), then the next, I'll have a hard one that is difficult to pass. I have tried milk of magnesia (which just flushes me out and I don't want to use it all the time), I take 200mg stool softeners every day, and I even use Metamucil occasionally. I am afraid to go to the bathroom because I have had a few different instances of spotting after straining. Everything was fine with baby after these occasions, but I have a history of mc, so I am just VERY careful with everything.

Ideas? Suggestions? What worked for you?

  • Is 50,000IU too much Vitamin D for me to take once a week while pregnant?

My endocrinologist, who knows I am 7 weeks pregnant, prescribed me to take a Vitamin D capsule once per week for 6 weeks to help with an apparent VD deficiency. I got the bottle from the pharmacy and it said each capsule is 50,000IU. I'm hesitant to take so much without checking with my OB first!

Anyone else have experience with this???

  • Possible to get a false positive after opening test?

I am going to test on Friday if I don't get a period. So, tonight, I was looking at the test and wanted to know if the strip could be cut in half lengthwise (I know, stupid). When I put it back together, I'm afraid I may have assembled it wrong...........:P

Ideas? I'd hate to throw away the test and waste it, but I'd also hate to use it and get a false answer because of my dumb curiosity. Should I test and trust it? Or toss it? :/

  • Have any of you gotten pregnant right after miscarriage?

I miscarried the last week of December at only 5 weeks (shorty after a few positive tests) and I'm not sure when I'd ovulate again. Assuming from what I've read online, anywhere from 2-4 weeks after the miscarriage. This week, I noticed some signs of ovulation, so we went for it.

Have any of you gotten pregnant right after mc, without having another period first? How did the doctor calculate your due date???

    Thanks! :)
