i'm a writer planning a novel for a younger audience, set in Australia.

I know that the writing slates came with a slate pencil which looks different to chalk.

I went to the doctor this morning an it turns out that my nictating membrane is now developing due to too much sun exposure at some point in time. I'm trying to find out more information about this and boy do I feel special now :)

I am looking for a good free video editing programme; i used a video camera for some of the shots (that was put onto dvd and then loaded onto my computer) and some were taken using my digital camera (it has a video feature).

A lot of the programmes I have looked at that are suposedly free are free to try. These videos all need work (some are too dark etc etc) and i want to join them to make one "home movie". I'd also like to lay down a sound track for the movie.

Both of these books are no longer in print; Ballet for Laura is the first book and was published in the Mid 1960's.

Googling the titles and/or Linda Blake doesn't produce much information either, unless I want to purchase copies of the books.

I'd like to know if she wrote anything else, and if so what. :)

Feeling a wee bit lonely a Scotsman decided life would be more fun if he had a pet. He went to the pet shop & bought a Centipede which came in a little white box to use for a house.

The Scotsman took the box back home, found a good spot for it & decided he would take his new pet to the pub to have a drink.

So he asked the centipede in the box

"Would you like to go down the Queen's Head with me & have a beer?"

There was no answer.

This bothered him a bit but he waited a few minutes & then asked

"How about going to the pub for a drink?"

Again, there was no answer from his new friend & pet.

He waited a few minutes more, thinking about the situation.

He decided to ask one more time; this time putting his face up against the Centipede's' house & shouting,

"Hey, in there!

Would you like to go to the Queen's Head and have a drink with me?"

A little voice from the box shouted back

"I heard you the first time!...

I'm putting my bloomin shoes on!"

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert.

After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep.

Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and

says, "Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you see? "

"The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars."

"What that tell you?" asked Tonto.

The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says,

"Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are

millions of galaxies and potentially billions of

planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in

Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a

quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, the

Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant.

Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful

day tomorrow. What's it tell you, Tonto?"

"It tells me Kemo Sabe dumber than buffalo dung.

It means someone stole the tent. "

A woman takes a lover home during the day while her hubby is at work. Her 9 yr old son comes home unexpectedly, sees them & hides in the bedroom closet to watch.

The woman's husband also comes home. She puts her lover in the closet, not realizing that the little boy is in there already.

The little boy says, "Dark in here."

The man says, "Yes, it is."

Boy - "I have a baseball."

Man - "That's nice."

Boy - "Want to buy it?"

Man - "No, thanks."

Boy - "My dad's outside."

Man - "OK, how much?"

Boy - "$150"

Man - "Sold."

In the next few weeks, it happens again that the boy and the lover are in the closet together.

Boy - "Dark in here"

Man - "Yes, it is."

Boy - "I have a Wilson infielder's glove."

The lover, remembering the last time, asks the boy, "How much?"

Boy - "$350"

Man - "Highway robbery. Sold."

A few days later, the father says to the boy, "Grab your gloves, let's go outside and have a game of catch."

I'd like to use some famous quotations on merchandise that I will be selling. Are quotations copyrighted? I know that similar questions have been asked but I didn't find the answers overly helpful.

I am a seller on ebay (I hope that is ok to mention) and I've been asked by a local clothing consignment shop to sell a suit. There are 2 labels on the suit. The top label simply says E 22 (the E is in upper case and a large font, the 22 is in a smaller font and is the size). A second label on the garment has made in Australia, the materuials used etc etc and it also has "E" the label for MOB on it. I need more info to verify the story behind the garment (eg value etc). I have looked on ebay and found someone selling the brand but I have not heard back from the seller. I did also post on the clothing discussion board for help from other sellers and buyers but so far the question has remained unanswered. I have searched on the net but cannot find any helpful information. I need specific answers from people that are familiar with the brand, as I need to know who the company is that sells the garment and if it's value is what the customer has said.

I make herbal pillows and I'm looking to us a natural filling now; I've seen both used in pillows and I don't know which is the better filling.

At my local markets as I have a stall where I sell things; a lot of what I sell are natural based (eg oils, aroma products etc). As a sideline I offer face shapes (not the whole face painted but little pics). I'd prefer to be using a natural product, even if it is one that I have to make up fresh each week.
