Dulce is pretty darn tired

my cousin just met this guy last monday, talked to him on the phone thursday, spent the night with him saturday, and now this monday he is her boyfriend. am i the only one who thinks this is bonkers? what happened to dating and getting to know someone first and then deciding if you want to go further? or am i just old fashioned?

My boss and I used to be really cool. He used to talk to me all the time and then all of a sudden it stopped. I don't think I did anything wrong, I always do my work so that couldn't be it. I feel a little dorky asking him about it. Please someone help.

How does that happen? Does that mean that people hate your answers or what?

I was just thinking about this from GetItGirls questions about Alpha Males and Queen Bees. If men refuse to take their place as the alpha male, therefore forcing women to take their place as the Queen B, who's fault is it that there are so many Queen B's running around? Black women have a choice, either take the mans place when he is slacking, or let the family fall apart. Since most women will not choose the later, they take the mans place. Now you have all of these Queen Bee's flying around looking for a King to help them, but he's flown off to another hive of honey's where he doesn't have to work as hard. Some black men complain that black women are too hard, have attitudes, always want to take over, etc, but do you think that is partially the mans fault? There has to be a reason why so many black children are born into single families, and I think that the main reason is the lack of an alpha male. When black women let the man lead, he doesn't, then when she takes over, he hates her for it. Its like a mad doctor hating his own creation.

I just need a laptop for the internet and to type papers for school. I don't have a lot of money to spend on a new computer. Are used computers a bad idea, or should I just try to save for a new one?

I go to this mexican store all of the time and these girls always talk about me when I'm there. I don't really care, I just think its funny because they talk about me and smile in my face because they don't know I know what they are saying. Also at work when some of the women don't want me to know what they are talking about, they start talking in spanish in front of me. My dad's family is from DR, so I know what they are talking about. I feel kind of guilty for some reason though. I kind of like eavesdropping.

Its been two years since I had my daughter and my stomach is still tore up! When I had my first two kids my stomach went back down, but my youngest was almost ten pounds and really stretched me out. And on top of that, instead of having the pooch below the belly button, I have this weird pooch at the top above it, or what should be a belly button since I don't really have one anymore (another problem I get made fun of for). My stomach is flat until you get to it, and then it shoots straight out and slopes back in toward my breast like a triangle. Its hideous and I can't get rid of it. Anyone have any tips or know why its even shaped like that?

Why are they the standard for beauty? I was just curious. Maybe because they are the minority it makes them exotic? What do you guys think?

This guy drives me crazy. He talked to me but wouldn't call, then I finally called him and we talked and he said he never called because I make him extremely nervous. So today we were supposed to have lunch and he said he would call when he got off, but he never did. I am mad and way too cute to be stood up. He hasn't even called to explain what happened. I have never had someone do this to me. Ever! Did he change his mind? Punk out? Go out with his other girlfriend if he has one? What do I do!? I am totally confused and want to smack him and kiss him at the same time.

my daughter loves it but has a milk allergy. Do you even need milk in it at all?

So I have been talking to this guy almost every day, and earlier this week when I talked to him at his job and after we said our goodbyes see you laters yada yada yada, I'm walking away and I hear his friends asking why is he talking to a black girl (Im black he's mexican btw) and then start talking in spanish. Now he hasn't talked to me and avoided me when I came in this morning. I feel like such a sucker. Why would he do that?!

I don't think tennis shoes are all that bad, but I don't think that 40 year old men look right walking around in air force ones.

There is this guy that I see almost everyday when I stop by this store to get lunch by my job. He flirted with me every day, and asked for my number one day last week. Even though I still see him and he still talks to me, he never called and I feel to embarrassed to call him. That means he doesn't really like me, right?

My ex inlaws have not called for almost four months. Then they pop up out of no where with a rented mini van expecting me to let them take my three kids, oh excuse me two of them because once they saw how much my little one cried they didn't want to take her anymore, back to their house in Arizona for a couple of weeks so they can see their abusive drug addict father and his new wife and step kids. I don't think so. Just because you feed me some bull about me still being a part of your family and I'll always be your daughter and the kids will stay at your house does not mean anything to me. Maybe I'm being cruel but I will not let them go down there unless I take them and I bring them back. I need to go get full custody. Or am I overreacting?

I happened to overhear some white coworkers talking about black women and how we are bitter and jealous because black men wanted them. My first reaction was to laugh because they looked tore up (I don't think all white women are tore up, just them), and then I just got really angry. Its not that black women are jealous. If we were jealous that would mean that we would want to be white which is not the case. It is not that we are racist or hate white women, even though I am sure that there are some that do. It is the fact that some black men choose white women based solely on the fact that they believe that they are better (or really any non-black is better). Thats its. You love who you love. But I'm sure if flocks of white men were running after non-whites because of some stereotypes about white women, I'm sure that white women would be just as upset. I just had to get that off of my chest.

I was watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy I think where one of the characters was a lesbian and the father brought a priest to try and pray it out of her. Anyway after all the tears and anger, the girlfriend of the daughter talked to the father about how much she loved her and how her parents were wrong for rejecting her, yada yada yada. Then in the end the father accepted the daughter and everything was honky dory. Is it just me or is the media giving a negative image of Christianity? The father was displayed as unaccepting and wrong, and bringing a preacher in when prayer changes nothing was just out of line. Then he had no right to not want his daughter in a fulfilling relationship with someone who loved her. Wrongo again. So in the end, because Jesus would be ashamed of him for judging her, he accepted her new lifestyle.

I guess the media is teaching us that we should accept anything under any circumstances because that is the real Christian thing to do, even when it clearly goes against what God has already told us is not right. People can get mad at me if they want, especially atheists, but it was just an observation.

Is there anyone else who thought that there would literally be a big multi headed leopard with bear claws jumping out of the sea when the anti christ comes? I never thought about it until a little while ago but these were all symbols. Maybe I'm just a ditz. But if other people are really looking for beasts to come jumping out of the ocean, then they could miss the real antichrist when it comes and will be deceived.

I am recently divorced, and my ex has moved on and remarried. He doesn't call, write, visit, or send anything to the kids. He refuses to pay child support for them and was angry that I filed. More than likely he never will. However, my kids keep asking where he is and when is he coming and can they go to their grandmothers to see him. I don't really know what to say. They are only three and four. I don't want to tell them they are never going to see him again, because maybe he'll wise up some day. Any suggestions?

I just had to ask because my ex husband told me no one would want me with three kids and I'm thinking "aren't they your kids too?". However he did remarry and his wife (with two kids of her own) obviously doesn't care that he isn't taking care of them (or that all four of them are staying in his room at his mothers house because he won't get a job).
