She sometimes doesn't text it back?
So I text my wife that I arrived at work and that I love her and she never responded. About 7 hours later I asked her why she didn't respond and her answer was that she didn't see it until now, despite her sending a few texts afterwards ( she did receive the text when I sent it). Do I have a right to be angry? This isn't the first time she has done this. I would say that she doesn't text it back very often.

6 AnswersWomen's Health6 years agoFiancé school mate calls at obscene hours?
so my fiancé is a full time student at university. She is also 2 months pregnant. Her class mate calls at obscene hours. Last night he calls at midnight about a school project that they are doing together. This is not the first time he has called late like this and disrupts hers and my sleep. She gave me his name to message on Facebook and let him know it is inappropriate for him to be calling this late. She, however, wants Me to not say anything for fear of having to face him in class. I told her he needs to hear from me and to be informed that I think it is inappropriate for the late night calls. She said she will handle it and talk to him like she did the other times he called late at night to which he continued calling irregardless. So now, I think it is my turn to step in and send him a civil message to let him know he really really needs to reconsider calling her that late at night. She still insists I don't message him though. Am I in the wrong for contacting him?
6 AnswersEtiquette6 years agoGirlfriend found out through home test kits she is pregnant.?
Today she visits her doctor to do the official test. I will be with her, however, she has asked me to remain in the docs office lobby while she receives the test results. I am a bit hurt as I want to be in the room, with her, while she gets the results. By the way, this pregnancy was not a surprise. We both had been wanting to become pregnant and start a family. Should I lay off and stop trying to push her to let me in on the results when the doc reads them?
5 AnswersPregnancy7 years agoGirlfriend decided to try becoming a vegetarian?
So, my girlfriend decided to slowly become a vegetarian. I'm wondering how this would effect any relationship long term. For instance; if the couple cooks together, what happens now? I could never adapt to a diet such as that. Would this cause a rift in the relationship? Afterawhile , wouldn't it become a problem if you could no longer share a steak dinner with this person. For me, it would feel lonely grilling the one steak in the backyard while your girlfriend cooks her tofu burgers inside.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoLive-in girlfriend said she is homesick?
So my girlfriend of 5 months (27yrs old) said she is homesick. She then tells me next week she will be staying back at her parents place for a few nights. She moved out from her parents about a month ago. Her parents live about 10 miles away and she regularly visits them. How should I take this?
2 AnswersFamily7 years agoJob dedication? what would you do?
Hello, so to this day, I have been working for my current employer for 2 years. I remember when I started with the city. Such promises of promotion and growth. Something that leads to future building of a life outside of poverty. I was so happy. I would tell all my friends about this new job of mine. Yes it was just part time work, but with the promise of a full time spot opening up soon, all I had to do was wait it out.
I loved my job, up until 3 months ago when the director of my department announced that all the full time positions have been reduced to two part time spots, that we have had our hours cut from 30 a week to 24. that right there was a tilting point. It was a crushing blow for me. My future at the city was at a capstone in my specialized department. So, if this happened to you, would you still put in the extra effort to be the best employee one can be? Still brown nose to keep your boss happy? I still do my job, and all my responsibilities, but i do not do them with enthusiasm, i no longer look forward to going to work. Sorry, i just had to vent. This has been bugging me for awhile.
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoIrresponsible dog owners?
So my neighborhood over the last two years or so has been hit with residents that fail to maintain the safety of the neighborhood by allowing their dogs to wonder the streets. The home owner will leave their front yard gates wide open while doing yard work, meanwhile their dogs are running free in the yard and zoom out into the streets to attack pedestrians walking their dogs. The home owner then looks at the person walking their dog as though it is their fault, simply because they are walking their dog down their street. Am I alone in thinking people are increasingly become irresponsible and lazy? Just curious. So anyways, that is my pet peeve. If anybody wants to chime in with their dog walking excursions, please do so.
4 AnswersDogs9 years agoBack child support negligence?
So I've got this female friend and her ex husband owes a surmountable amount of back payments of child support monies. She wants people to feel bad for her that she struggles to feed her children (2), but is unwilling to pursuit legal actions against her ex. I keep trying to convince her to do so, but will not. The ex hides the fact that he is working, just to avoid child support. The courts have been involved in the child support, and has required him to pay, but since he jumps from job to job, it is difficult to collect from him. The ex, basically, is scum of the earth type. Just a regular piece of crap that doesn't mind seeing his kids suffer. It makes me sick but I am powerless to do anything, nor is it any of my business. However, she is my friend and her kids are sweet and smart and have a potential bright future.
At one point, for several years, he was paying $30 a month. For both kids!! He now pays nothing. Not one dime. All my friend has to do is contact the sheriff and file a complaint. The sheriff takes these things seriously, considering he owes in amount of over $10k in back child support. I want to make an anonymous tip to the sheriff, but its not my place. Meanwhile, my friend is still madly in love with this douche bag ex, and their kids pay the price. As her friend, should I do something or just let alone? Thanks community.
1 AnswerParenting9 years ago!800Petmeds and my veterenarian?
So my vet wants me to purchase their Interceptor heart worm preventative and I want to purchase it from 1800Petmeds. My vet charges me $80 for a six month supply, where as 1800Petmeds charges $50. My vet tells me that if I go through !800Petmeds, I will have to sign a release saying that I understand 1800petmeds is a "black market" for pet meds, and that I understand the risks involved. I have never heard of this waiver I must sign. Is this common practice or are they just trying to scare me?

5 AnswersBuying & Selling9 years agoTree responsibility on owner or tenant?
Hello, I have been renting a house for 3 years. There are approximately 10 trees on the property. Three out of the 10 trees have died. We tried our hardest to keep them alive, and unfortunately we could not do it. So, are we going to be held responsible on move out? Trees and plants do die, they will not live forever. In our leese, it say's that we have to maintain the property to the same degree as move in. Thank you.
2 AnswersRenting & Real Estate9 years agoBrother used me a reference without knowlege or consent?
Hello, my brother has used me as a reference for an auto title loan and did not bother to ask me first. I found out when I started getting phone calls all day every day! The company that calls me asks for my brother, and I tell them he does not live with me and that I do not know his whereabouts, and have not spoken to him for a few months and that I did not give him consent to use me as a reference. They basically tell me too bad, that they will continue to call unimpeded until they find him. Is there anything that I can do about this legally?
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoInterior fixtures/cabinets of rental house.?
So the cabinets in my rental house are literally falling off/apart. I go grocery shopping, and put my groceries in the cabinets, and next thing I hear, are the cabinet shelves collapsing. I am not adding unreasonable weight inside the cabinets either. These are just made of poorly constructed material. So is my landlord responsible for these repairs, or am I?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoUnemployment benefits issue?
My company just recently lost a contract, along with my full time position I have been at for three years. Now my new position within the same company requires me to use my vehicle. A lot. Now, if I get into a car accident, or if my car is stolen or breaks down, my company basically drops me from all hours on the schedule. Can I claim unemployment benefits if this happens?
4 AnswersLaw & Legal1 decade agoWhen is it time to drop a friendship?
Ok, I've been friends with this person for about 6 years now. I guess you can say we were good friends. We would arrange a day or two every week to hang out, cook dinner, play board games, and video games. About 2 years ago, he obtained a second job, so we would only hang out maybe 2 or 3 times a month. And that was fine. But about a year ago we gradually spent less and less time hanging out. He would sometimes call to vent or ask advice about his girlfriend or jobs, which I would happily help. But when I needed advice, or to vent, he would not answer my calls, return them and ignored my text messaging. We hang out now, on average, about once every few months. I have been considering dropping him as a friend. I may be mistaken, but no matter how busy you are you should always make the time to call, just to see whats up. I would like some advice on whether or not this friendship should be maintained on one end (mine) or just dropped.

2 AnswersChevrolet1 decade agoHow to sterilize tree limbs?
Hello, I just recently started a terrarium with a green anole, and a fire belly frog. So I went shopping, bought a lot of stuff, but could not afford the tree limbs you would buy at a pet store. The price tag for these is really steep. They wanted $40 for a medium piece.I was walking my dog, and found some nice pieces of a tree that would go great in my tank, but am not sure how to sterilize them. I was told to bake them at 365 degrees, 1 minute for each inch. Does this sound right, or is there something I missed?
4 AnswersReptiles1 decade agoHow often do you clean a terrarium/vivarium?
I bought a 125gal. aquarium, and am turning this into a terrarium or vivarium. I am adding live plants, some green anole's, and tree frogs. The substrate will consist of small round rocks @ the very bottom, moss above that, then soil. How often will I need to replace the soil and moss?
