  • PLEASE HELP! neglected ferret needs saving!?

my husband was doing pipework at a house and he saw this albino ferret laying in his poo with no water no food and no air-conditioning in the house. he got the little (i mean fur and bones little!) guy in and we very carefully gave him a bath and tried on giving him water from an eyedropper and at first he would not move but his eyes would open and close well after a few long tries we finally got tounge movement from him and he responded to the water and getting a little bit. i gave him some water and duck soup mix (the marshall farms kind) he ate a little of that too and a few hours went by he has made a little improvement with his moveing and has used the bathroom once but until friday i we wont have money to get him to the vet what more can i do for him in the mean time to help him put weight back on and get stable on his feet again... and i took pictures when i first bathed him and my husband will be getting the address tomorrow how do i go about making sure the neglectful owner pays for her animal cruelty?

  • my rat is obese what should i do?

my female rat is really overweight. she is almost 3 years old and has never used her wheel, she has a very nice size cage but doesn't use her wheel to exercise and she is very scared to leave her cage every time i remove her for her weekly cleaning she freaks out and pees. she had a cage-mate who was very old and big but normal for her large size. she would run the wheel often so i know that she has learned from her older "sister" how to but she doesnt. i do not feed her cookies, crackers, bread or anything of that nature just the regular walmart brand rat and mice food with occasional rains for treats. what are some things i can do to help her get to a healthy weight i am very concerned for her. please help!

  • is my ferret molting or can he have adrenal disease?

i have had my ferret for almost 3 years and every year he tends to lose alot of fur around summer time, it usually grows back during winter, but this year he is losing alot more then usual, his tail is still furry but most of his back is losing fur but small peach fuzz is covering the bald spots. he is very heavy in weight and is very active and eats and uses the bathroom with no problem.

  • will the mommy mouse take to her daughter's pups?

im breeding mice and have had only two from the last litter, the mom is very docile and the daughter... not so much. the daughter is 1 month old and killed her sibling before i could even catch it from its popcorn stage to tell it's sex. i was wondering if i should breed her at all or if she may kill the male, and if i do successfully breed them will the daughters mom be able to be able to feed them and care for them even though she hasnt had a pup in a month?
