  • Buying a PC game online while in a different country.?

I want to buy and download Battlefield 4 from Origin (or anywhere) on my PC. I have recently moved from Ireland to the USA. I think that Origin is getting a bit confused when I try to download the game. It won't authorize the transaction.

I'm trying to purchase the game with an Irish credit card.

Is there any way I will be able to download this game?.

  • Looking for shock absorbing blades?

I'm looking to buy shock absorbing blades for a project I'm doing. I want to get blades that are similar to prosthetic blades that amputees use. Current searches have only provided very expensive products. The cheapest I have found are the blades on Tramp-it Jumping shoes. Is there any alternative product that is cheap where I can find shock absorbing blades that will fit my needs?.

The length and size of the blades doesn't matter....

  • Looking for a locking mechanism..?

At the moment I'm doing a project and I'm looking for a locking mechanism similar to a ratchet. I believe I've seen them before on lawnmowers and prams. It's a circular mechanism which the user can twist and lock the poles into place.

I believe the mechanism contains teeth and a spring so when the user presses a button on the side the other side pops out and then when the user lets go of the button the teeth will pop back into slots.

If you can imagine two poles with a circle joining them in them middle allowing the top pole to rotate around. The pole should be able to lock when at the desired angle. Does anymore know what this is called or when I can view it online please comment.

    Thanks.

  • Powerpoint/PDF/Video Question?

I have made a presentation in Powerpoint. One of the slides has a .MOV video. This video plays when I have the slideshow open in Powerpoint. I want to save the Powerpoint Presentation as a PDF but the video doesn't work when it's saved as a PDF. It just displays the thumbnail of the video.

I'm guessing the conversion from powerpoint to the PDF file has lost the video in translation. Is there anyway of resolving this so I can play the video when the slideshow is saved as a PDF file..

  • To those who use/have used crutches?

I am in the process of redesigning the crutch for my final year project in Product and Technology Design. I'm looking for people to tell me of their personal experiences with the crutches provided by the hospitals or crutches they have purchased themselves.

If it would be possible to list out some of the problem areas you encountered while using crutches or have any ideas on how you would improve them it would be very helpful.

    An example would be:

•I find it hard to get in and out of cars due to the design of the crutches

•I am unable to carry any personal luggage while using crutches

•I have wrist pain due to the design of the crutches

    Thanks.

  • Xbox Wireless N Networking Adapter Problem.?

Okay so my old Wireless adapter for my Xbox 360 broke. So I decided to get a new one and got the Wireless N networking adapter since I don't think the old white one is sold anymore. I was told it would work the same. So I plug it into my Xbox, green light etc. is on. I choose my Wireless and enter the password when prompted, all is good but when I go to test the connection it says "There is a problem with your connection".

Has anyone an idea of why it won't connect?. The Adapter came with a CD, which I put in the Xbox as instructed, but it just says "Mixed Media Disc" and won't play. On the instructions on the CD package it says that if no instructions are displayed when the CD is put into the Xbox then it's up to date. But why won't it connect?

    Thanks..

  • ABS Problem - Ford Mondeo (2003).?

Just after racking up a lot of mileage after a journey up and down France. On my way back home the ABS light appears, I start hearing this crunching sound coming from the rear of the vehicle (I think). Does anyone have an experienced opinion on what this may be?. What am I dealing with here and in what price range would the repairs cost?.

I'm only after getting a €1400 service 5 weeks before..

  • Andorra-France Border control..?

There's a limit on how many cigarettes you can bring from Andorra through to France, it's about 200. The cigarettes come in 200. Has anyone had any experience going through the Andorra-France Border control. I want to bring back 600 (3 Boxes) since it's so cheap. What are the chances of my car being searched and what is the punishment for having over the limit, do they just confiscate them?.

Also, whats to stop someone just doing 2 trips over and back?
