I have replaced coil, ignition module, and distributor and it still wont run. it cranks but eventually backfires and starts carb fire. teeth on bottom of distributor were broke when I changed it. could my timing chain be bad? im pretty sure distributor is correct in time. what could it be?

We have a second story balcony that we wrapped with chicken wire and fake ivy bushes so our cats can go outside. The problem is they are now jumping to the top to look over. They teeter and I'm afraid that one will fall off. How can I kitty proof this fencing?

My 2003 ford explorer xlt automatic 4lt 4dr 4x4 blew a radiator hose anddoing 70 mph and soaked my whole truck. After i fixed it my o/d light is on and it wont shift right. Tranny shop says it is bad. Could something have gotten soaked and needs dried out? If so what?

acts like its stuck between the 2. heat comes out up and down but not enough to do much. a/c works fine and switches. could it be one of the 3 vacuum valves? I already gotta replace the blend door actuator cause it's clicking and I have only cold air.

I am looking for a transmission for my car, and have only found a few. the ones I keep finding the people say they are for column shift and mines a floor shift so they won't work. I've looked both transmissions over and can't find a difference in the way they look. shifter cable is the same for both. so does anyone know rather it really makes a difference rather it's a column or a floor shift.

I have a 2003 mercury sable with 186000 miles. I have had no problems with it. today I stopped for a red light and when it turned green I stepped on the gas and car didn't move. I had to put it in neutral to move it, then back into park to stop it from rolling away in the parking lot. so it is recognizing the gears. fluid is full, but I noticed it seemed like the fluid level raised from last week when I checked it. now reading over full. is that a sign of something? is it shot or is it something fixable? what's your opinion. don't want to sink a bunch of money into it. paid $1000 for it 3 months ago.

my son and his girlfriend have 2 kids together. they lived together for 5 years. never got married cause she always cheating on him. in those 5 years he always had a job and provided for them. even thou he never made much money. she sometimes worked a little here and there but she was born and breed welfare so she relied mostly on them. he always filed head of household and claimed kids. this year on x-mas eve she breaks up with him and tells him she got a new boyfriend. kicks him out and next day moves in new boyfriend. she will not let him see or have contact with kids at all. he did file papers to get custody and child support figured out and has a court date for both. however he just filed his taxes with the kids on them and they got rejected because she already claimed the kids. what action ,if any, can he take to protest her tax return? should he call IRS about it? or is he just screwed?

I have a 2003 ford explorer xlt 4x4 4.0l with 104,000. we bought it used a few months ago and have had no problems with it. we just had it serviced for oil change, tire rotation and front end inspection. now when we step kind of hard on the brakes it shakes and pulsates. not like anti lock brake pulsating but more of a warped rotor pulsate. it doesn't pull to one side or another and stops straight. what may be the cause of this? could it be something they did?

i have a 2003 explorer xlt 4.0. it has manual a/c/ heater controls not automatic climate control. the a/c controls work fine but when i turn the switch to heater side it will not change from defrost to floor. it does nothing. it is stuck right now more on floor and takes forever to defrost windows. what might be the problem? i've already been told a few different things but would like more opinions.

i just bought a 2003 ford explorer xlt. the car lot, of course, doesn't know the keyless entry code. i got the factory code off of the module and it still don't work. so i was going to check the fuse for keyless entry but can not locate it in the owners guide. does anyone know where it is located?

my 2003 mercury sable, 3.0 v6 176000 miles, turn signals will not work until car is heated up. sometimes even when the car is heated up i have to use them repeatedly to get them to finally work. but once they start working they are fine. what could be the problem?

i've asked a couple of questions today about my daughters xbox and have found out she does not have a hard drive. she wants to play halo 4 and i need to buy her a hard drive. which one does she need? i've seen 2 different sizes, a 250 for $75 or a 320 for $130.

i was told to remove the side door to look at hard drive. when i open it nothing is there just a empty compartment. is this right? is something suppose to be there? does this mean i don't have a hard drive?

for over a month myself and neighbors reported to police about a drug house in our neighborhood. after we reported about them carrying some guns in the house the police set up and busted a few cars leaving the house and found heroin. they then got a warrant and busted the house. they carried out plastic bags full of stuff, pill bottles, big wad of syringes, and other stuff. the tenant who rents the house, from the same landlord as me, stood there flipping off myself and the group of neighbors who were watching. when the police left no one was arrested, and the junkies went back in house. why wasn't anyone arrested? any idea? good news is the house has been dead since then.

a month ago i put something on here about a drug house next to me and how police were not doing anything about it even thou myself and neighbors had witnessed alot of stuff and had pictures of stuff going on at the house. well the police finally raided the house yesterday after we notified them of a group taking guns in the house. the police took out plastic bags full of stuff, pill bottles, huge wads of syringes, and guns. however no one was arrested. the guy who lives there stood there with a officer while they searched the house and repeatedly flipped off the group of us that was watching. as police were leaving we noticed they let the people go back in house, so i asked the officer why no one was being arrested. he said, "don't worry they are going to be moving now.". so now the neighborhood is still nervous and wondering why wasn't anyone arrested?
