I am currently a freshman in the nursing program at Drexel University and I am considering transferring to UMiami, Florida State or UArizona. I have a 3.53 GPA for my first quarter and I work at the rec center part-time, tutor middle-schoolers from disadvantaged schools, am actively involved in a student nursing association (I even got to go to a convention), participated in a volleyball intramural and I plan to lead campus tours when school starts again.

Would you say that I will be able to get into these schools with scholarships?

I applied to Target three days ago and I got a call yesterday. Because they called me so quickly, does that mean I have a chance at getting the job? I really really want this job because I have worked at McDonald's for the past month and I absolutely hate it. Just thinking about going to work ruins my whole day and I only get around 6 hours a week which is not enough to pay for my $70 phone bill and save for college. And if you have any advice for the interview, please share it.

So for prom I was planning to just have my sister drive me and a couple of friends to prom in a nice rental car to save money, but friend (let's call her B) messaged another friend (let's call her A) when we were at the mall saying "I'm getting a limo". We asked the cost but B would not tell us the price. Five minutes later she says "I got the limo so you can't back out now!" Even though we had not even agreed to the limo yet. For the past few weeks we have asked B for the cost of the limo and she was like "I don't know". I don't understand how you can't know the price of something you have already bought. At one point B said a family member gave her some money for the limo so it would probably cost little to nothing. Now, a month after telling us about the limo she says it will cost $80 and she expects me to pay it!!!! Not only did I never agree to being in the limo but she waited over a month to tell me and only a two weeks before prom. There is no way I can afford this bc neither of my parent have jobs and I don't have enough money to pay for it myself bc I just bought my prom dress by myself. So do you think that I should figure out how to pay the $80 or do you think that she should have told everyone the price before getting the limo in the first place. Sorry if this sounds like a rant but now my parents and I are stressed out about whether or not we have to pay for the limo. I got a limo last year and had a horrible experience so I'm not too crazy about limos anyway.

I want to go to community and do my prerequisites to save money before transferring to a 4 year school. Though I want to save money, I don't want to give up on my dream of going to a large university, I would go to an instate school but the only large school in NJ is Rutgers-New Brunswick, and they have a rule where you can only transfer into the nursing program if you have gone to Rutgers. The types of universities I would like to go to are UFlorida, UArizona, UWashington, so basically I want a large school with a sense of community.

Also, I did think about getting an ASN and then doing an RN-BSN but it seems as if all of these programs are online and I definitely don't want to do school online.

So yesterday I paid my application fee to Rutgers NB and the website still says I have not paid for it. Same with the Self Reported Academic Record, I submitted it an hour ago and it still says it is not submitted. Did they not receive it or does it just take time to process the information?

I'm taking the SAT again, so my scores should go up. I have a 4.0 GPA and am in the top 12% of my high school class. I am active in three clubs. I have only taken 1 honors course in Spanish, which I'm now regretting because I wish I had taken more honors courses. I want to be accepted into the nursing program and I live in New Jersey. Please, tell me the honest truth.

So I was wondering what you think my chances of getting in are. I took the SAT one time and got 560 on math and writing, and a 630 or critical reading. I have a 4.0 gpa and am in the top 12% of my high school class. I'm trying to get into UMiami, Rutgers NB, and PennState. I think I'll get into Rutgers and PennState but not UMiami. What do you think?

I want to go to Philly on July 4th for the parade, concert and fireworks with two of my best friends. My parents refuse to let me go because they seem to think I am 7 years old. My one friend lives in Philly and the other used too, so they know the area. I am responsible and my mom knows this so I don't understand why she won't trust me. I won't go looking for trouble and I have a cell phone in case I get lost or something goes wrong. I would understand them not wanting to go if I was 15 but I am going to turn 18 soon and then I'm going to college next year. Would you let your daughter go and do you have any advice on how I can convince my parents to let me go.
