Can I transfer to an out of state 4 year school from a community college?

I want to go to community and do my prerequisites to save money before transferring to a 4 year school. Though I want to save money, I don't want to give up on my dream of going to a large university, I would go to an instate school but the only large school in NJ is Rutgers-New Brunswick, and they have a rule where you can only transfer into the nursing program if you have gone to Rutgers. The types of universities I would like to go to are UFlorida, UArizona, UWashington, so basically I want a large school with a sense of community.

Also, I did think about getting an ASN and then doing an RN-BSN but it seems as if all of these programs are online and I definitely don't want to do school online.

Knocking out lower division coursework is an outstanding idea prior to attending a major university. However, please realize four year colleges differ greatly on which particular class credit will be honored and can be transferred. For example, U of F might allow you to transfer credit on a particular prerequisite that Rutgers would not. Best of luck.
