  • Name of this movie (experts only)?

    Pre-1990

    Rated R

A white man, his wife and son are in some sort of jungle community (could be South America, could be South East Asia). His son contracts some sort of disease and eventually dies. His wife is a total b***. The last scene is him getting killed by one of the native people and the camera panning out to show the natives migrating.

It's not Mosquito Coast or End Of The Spear.

I've seen every movie in every movie store I've worked in and nobody has it and nobody has a clue what movie it could be.

  • How much does physical appearance affect sex and attraction in your experience?

First impression? After you get to know them? Is there a difference during sex or other intimate moments?

  • Weapon of choice for the zombie apocalypse?

Winchester model 1873 seems appropriate to me, due to its durability, accuracy, range, and widely-available ammunition. It's strong enough to destroy a brain at a good distance, and the action is fast enough to take out a half-dozen zombies in a matter of seconds.

  • Women of the Abrahamic religions.....?

How would you feel if your parents had removed your clitoral prepuce at infancy?

What makes it ok for them to do it to a male baby's prepuce (foreskin)?

  • Theists: a question about assumption?

Let's say you are throwing a dinner party, and all of your guests are family members, except for one of your sons' friends. Your whole family is the same religion, but towards the end of the evening, you find out that this friend is an atheist.

    How would you react?

Did you assume he was a theist, or more specifically, that he believed the same things you believe?

  • How stupid can they be (first date deal-breakers)?

For instance, if a girl utters any of the following on the first date:

"I can't hear very good, I must be death"

    "all of the sudden"

    "nucular"

    "can I axe you something"

"does your job have French benefits?"

...she wouldn't be hearing from me again.

What are some stupid things you've heard on a date? It doesn't have to be a grammatical error, just something insanely retarded.

  • How often should I get an x-ray for latent tuberculosis?

It seems like every month I get a bad cough and night sweats and I lose about 5 pounds in a week. But every time I've gone for an x-ray to see if it's active, the damn thing comes back negative. They say you only need one every 6 months, but what if the symptoms are there? Should I wait until there's blood in my cough?

  • Were my beliefs disrespected?

I spent a few weeks in a mental hospital after attempting suicide. From the moment I arrived at the hospital, there were nurses and family members coming up to me and talking to me about God and other religious things. I pretty much kept my mouth shut about it until I was in the actual mental hospital, because I figured they weren't legally allowed to force their beliefs on me, especially when I was so vulnerable.

To my dismay, I found that being held against your will in a loony bin has no effect on whether a person will respect your beliefs or disbelief. If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm an atheist, and I had been one for a few years before this incident.

The other adolescents told me I would go to hell if I killed myself, so I told them what I believed. They just told me I would go to hell anyway. It was easy to ignore them. The therapists held prayers during group therapy. I spoke up and told them I was uncomfortable praying and that I didn't believe in any "higher power". They just blew me off and said that I was just making excuses not to participate.

There was a system in the place where you couldn't get your own food or leave your room or watch tv unless you earned those privileges by attending group therapy, even if you had no reason to go. My group therapy was about suicide and depression. The majority of the people in the hospital were there for drug overdose, so the majority of the group sessions were either Alcoholics Anonymous or Chemical Dependency, which are both based on religious ideals and involve prayer and submitting to a "higher power". It seems like everyone is invited to be healed by their group, as long as you aren't an atheist. Besides that, at that point, I had never taken drugs or had a drink, not even once. When I told them there was no reason for me to be there, they said they would take away my points, so I wouldn't get to choose my own food or watch tv with the rest of the group or even leave my room when I wanted.

This facility was run by the state, and I was institutionalized based on state laws (minor, suicide with note must be committed to a hospital). If it were a private hospital, or if I had volunteered myself, I would not have a problem with this. It was the fact that I was forced to believe that I'm upset about.

I've struggled with this for a decade, and I still don't feel right about it.

Do you feel my rights were violated, or that my beliefs were disrespected? Do you have a similar story? I would like any thoughts or opinions, regardless of your beliefs. Thanks for reading.

  • Has anyone ever been stalked?

I had a stalker that finally left the state (phew) a couple months ago. She was so ******* weird...

We had a little history, not much, a couple of make out sessions over like 10 years of being acquaintances...

I think she liked me, but the feeling wasn't mutual, and whenever I tried to make a move she would push me away, so I got sick of her. She was totally bizarre, though. My friends would always joke about her being so weird. My parents also thought she was a freak.

Has anyone else ever had a person like this bothering them? Are you afraid of seeing that person again? What would you do if they showed up at your house without calling or followed you to bars/people's houses and acted like it was a coincidence?

  • Name this movie about a kid and his kidnappers?

A little boy gets kidnapped by two men, and they take a road trip. They're drinking RC Cola, one guy I think tries to touch the little kid, and the other guy gets pissed off and kills him. Then the "good" kidnapper buys him a ticket to the carnival or some **** and when the SWAT team catches up to them, the guy reaches in and pulls out the ticket for the kid, they think it's a gun, and they shoot him and kill him.

What's the name of this movie?

  • Name of this 80's Drama about South American Indigenous People?

An American family (man, wife, and son) are in the rain forest or something, and they live with these native people. The man could be a missionary or a doctor, I'm not sure. The son gets very ill and his mother is a total *****. I remember hating the mother the entire time and the boy is so sick he's going to die (might have malaria or yellow fever or blackwater fever). The movie ends with one of the natives rushing the dad and beating his head in with a hammer. The camera pans out to a bird's eye view as the credits roll, and you can see the tribes rebelling all across the rainforest, burning down villages.

  • Access denied, cannot access file?

I have Windows XP (home apparently) and I cannot turn off file sharing and I have no security tab to change ownership of the file. Is there any way I can get rid of the file, or do I have to buy a new hard drive?

*It's a very large redundant folder left over from a system restore ("my backup") and it takes up half of my hard drive

*Microsoft is no help, all web searches only give solutions to Windows XP Pro, not Home

  • What movie is this; foreign horror...?

Foreign horror, late 70's to mid 80's. Movie starts with girl taking a shower, shows a large birthmark. She ends up on this crazy train, and there's weird villagers hitting sticks together. Possibly in Eastern Europe. I think she's supposed to marry the devil. She meets a bald chick on the train who says she's her mother -__-

  • Where can I buy a replacement cord/AC adapter for my Dell w4201chd TV?

I lost it when I moved and I've scoured the search engines, but nobody seems to have what I need. The input says 100-240V 6A 50-60Hz. Radio Shack doesn't have it, and the Dell website doesn't list it.
