  • I called out of work to help a friend with food. How do I explain this to my employer afterwards?

So I got a call from a friend and she told me that she hasn't eaten in 4 days and that she needed food. So I told her that my friend and I were on our way. I called in 40 mins before my shift and I was told that there might be disciplinary actions taken and that I might need to provide proof. I don't know how to explain it to my employer if I'm questioned. What do I do?

  • What do you think of eternal oblivion after death?

Does this thought scare you? I've been studying this thought and I wanted to hear peoples philosophical opinion on the subject. The way I see it, the universe started off from inorganic matter, which created organic matter, which is us. After death, we return to the elements in which we were created from. Almost like a liberation back to the universe.

  • Which do you think is more terrifying? Eternity or non existence?

Whenever I think of death, there are only two options really. Eternity, or you just cease to be. I think the idea of living for eternity after death is a terrifying thought. Imagine living FOREVER, eventually you'd loose your mind. I think ceasing to be would be the only true peace. What are your thoughts?

  • Non-theists, what amazes you about life?

I Personally am a non-theistic person myself, but I just wanted to know if you have something that amazes you about life. As for myself, I find it fascinating that we all are connected together In this universe, and that the components of our bodies came from the stars.

  • Will this keep me from shipping out to basic training?

I have to report to meps in 3 weeks to ship out to basic training. I've been running all summer and I developed a blister on top of my foot. It scabbed up and I picked at it a lot while it was healing. It's all healed now but it's now a circular purple mark on top of my foot. Will meps give me another extensive physical? Will they keep me from shipping for having a blister scar on my foot?

  • will I be able to switch to active duty army from national guard?

I enlisted in April and I all to basic training in October. I'm going to be a 68w (combat medic). I already talked to my recruiter and he contacted my unit and let them know that I want to switch over. My unit has allot of 68w already so I'm guessing that's for for me. My recruiter is going to start the paperwork before I leave. In switching over because of financial hardship. Based upon my circumstances, do I have a good chance of switching over?

  • Sores after sex?

My girlfriend have been having sex a lot in the past couple of weeks. Sometimes 3 times a night. She's now complaining that she has sores and bumps down there. I know for a fact that we're both clean. We both got tested together. And I've only had sex with her ever. We haven't been using condoms lately because she's on birth control.

  • Will one night of drinking destroy my progress?

I'm in the military and I exercise nearly every day. I am in peak condition right now and I almost scored a 300 on my Pt test. A friend of mine invited me out to drink, so I said ok. Will one night of drinking interfere with my fitness?

  • What is this called?

Ok, so i'm a guy and I have a girlfriend. I know that I like girls for a fact. But I feel like I would be ok with kissing a guy and cuddling and stuff like that. I would never have a relationship or have sex with a guy. What would this be called?

  • Should I be upset about this?

I have been dating my girlfriend for 7 months now and things have been going good. She told me recently that, before we got together, she used to have a friends-with-benefits relationship with a guy that I know. She still talks to him sometimes but I can see that they are just friends. I'm just a little disturbed that she has had a relationship like that with someone I know. They've never had actual sex, just fingers and hands and what not. Technically, we are both each others first. I've never had sexual interactions with anyone before her, and I feel like our relationship is un-pure because of this. Am I just over-reacting?
