I'm going to start writing a woman whom I am good friends with a poem that will make her smile.

I was going to make the subject of the poem be an object that is really a secret allegory for her.. although slightly obvious so she can see what it is I'm doing.. yet gives me an out if it's awkward.

She is tenacious, hyper intelligent, insanely adaptive, tough, fun, and incredibly insanely unmatchably beautiful.

I was thinking of using an evergreen tree because it stays beautiful no matter what elements are thrown at it (and her eyes are green) but I was looking for some other suggestions.

Okay, so Im creating a database for tickets to sporting events, and records of who uses them.

I have 6 total tables, but for this one, "Events" and "Tickets" are important.

In my "Ticket" table, it has all the informaiton for that ticket, sport, team, date, time, associate who has the ticket, etc.

In order for the tables to connect properly, I needed to input an "EVENTID" column to have it reference the event on the "Events" table that those tickets go to.

The problem is, I need to manual input the "EventID" for each and every single ticket, and I have THOUSANDS.

The ticket column already has "date, time, sport, and team/vendor" fields that MATCH the fields in the "Event" table.

Is there a way to get it to automatically populate the "EventID" based on the other info in that ticket record?

So I have a table that is essentially an inventory of tickets to events throughout the year. It has lots of data, date of event, time, section,row, number, seat, cost etc.

I need to track the people these tickets go to, and essentially be able to pull that data and display it in multiple ways.

So I created 3 other tables. 1 for guests, 1 for associates,1 for clients. as they all need ot be tracked and reported separately and have different characteristics (example.. associates have employee ID #s.. clients have "company name" etc.)

the problem Im running into, is figuring out where or how to "assign" a ticket or tickets to an individual in any of these other 3 categories.

My brain and somehow wrap itself around creating an "events" table and assigning the tickets to events using date and type, however I cant quite picture how to assign individuals to each ticket, and be able to see all the tickets an individual has gotten over a period of time, as well as see remaining and "unssigned" tickets for each "event"

Its really a conceptual question I guess

I recently was watching one of the documentaries on Netflix regarding universe expansion. What alarmed men is that they said the universe is expanding and stretching at such a rate.. that there are stars we will never see the light from because the speed at which the expansion is taking place.. outpaces the time it will take the light to get here.

It also theorized that eventually everything will be out of reach even at light speed.

I guess my question is... isn t this theory flawed? Wouldn t the expansion in the distance of the molecules that make us and our galaxy (planet.. solar system.. etc) increase at a matching rate making the distance all relative?

Or is the expansion and stretching not affecting "matter" and the space between?

I just turned 26 years old, and my brother is 1 year younger(25). Our mother (my mom) just was able to find and acquire his adoption records after all these years (he was adopted away shortly after being born because our family was under less than favorable circumstances at the time). My mom, aunt and I have found him on facebook and we were wondering how to approach the issue.

He knows he is adopted we can see that. My aunt wants to send his sister a letter first to clear the air first to make sure its ok.

However I dont like that approach as it is not genuine or direct. He is 100% blood and we are STRIKINGLY similar in looks tastes and everything. I feel like a direct approach would be appreciated more.. because going through 3rd parties is like playing telephone.. so much can go wrong.

At least if it comes directly from us we know the message..

Okay.. I will go through the timeline here.. Im usually really good at fixing these types of things but this has me stumped.

-At first, the car stereo wouldnt turn off when the car was turned off (the battery died many times :P)

-I learned my lesson, and manually turned it off every time I got out.

-Then the radio started acting weird an randomly shut off, switched modes etc.

-Then while driving one day.. the "Theft" light turned on while driving and the radio shut off. The odometer read "error". It would go back to normal, but stay for longer periods of time when it happened.

-Then the car had problems starting, AND the day lights wouldnt turn off 50% of the time (I had too unhook the battery)

-Eventually the radio just stopped working and wouldn't turn on, and ALL the dash lights stayed on while driving, with none of the gauges working, while the odometer reads "error".

-After about a week of that, I decided to remove the radio. That actually helped alot. The MPH gauge and the RPM gauge now work, the front lights are back to normal. The car starts every time!

-However, the Gas gauge and Temp gauge still don't work, and the lights are all lit up on the dash and it still reads "ERROR"

I know it can be many things, but what steps can I take to find the "short" or "bad wire" or fix the problem. I know the hard part, is actually figuring out what is causing it. Any Ideas?

Im 24 years old but have aspirations to be an inventor. I have a ton of projects I would like to start but lack the necessary tools. I dont have a ton of money so I cannot buy a whole workshop.

Im looking for type of saw that can be used for almost anything (aluminum, wood, metal, drywall, etc.) A type of saw that can cut unusual designs and shapes from most mediums would be great. However Im not sure what saws can handle these various applications?

I was thinking along the lines of a Rotozip (the commercials make it seem like they can cut anything), or a circular saw, or a jigsaw...

What would be best?

I came over my moms house to troubleshoot some audio problems she was having... the speakers were no longer recognized (they arent usb btw, they are normal audio jack with a power source (logitech Z130)). They just stopped working one day.

No audio devices are being recognized as I have tried several.

I tried to update the drivers, and change the drivers (different companies) repeatedly...

I finally found out that the one thing in common with all the driver sets, is that the codecs keep failing..

Not sure what can cause this, is it a registry issue? or a hardware issue? Or is there a simple software fix?

Any help would be much appreciated as I have done eveything I can think of.

(PS... logitech drivers wont even install, im getting error number 2?)

Our landlord foreclosed on his property, and we weren't sure who to pay rent to.

In part 8 of that document, it states that the landlord looses the ability to collect rent when a confirmation of sale is approved by the court.

I went to the online court records, and looked up the foreclosure case and found a "Dercree of Confirmation" regarding the sale of the property dated June 6th 2013.

Our landlord called today, and threatened to sue us if we didn't pay rent for July, and said we have 3 days to move out. He also said we will have wished to just pay him because of the time off work and court fee's. He also said he called the Sherif's office and the house is still in his name and that he is still the owner and landlord.

I know I shouldnt fall for his scare tactics... and I know you cannot evict in 3 days... but I just want to be sure before I start playing lawyer (like I did in college a few times)

I was hoping someone who knew, could point me towards the section of the Ohio Revised code that basically states what section 8 of that .pdf document stated about tenants not owing rent to the landlord once a confirmation of sale by the judge is signed. I need it in case I get a call from his lawyer, and my online searches have pulled no results.

I dont want to overload my system

I have an ASROCK 970DE3/U3S3 motherboard that im using in a build, my case came with a bunch of screws and whatnot as well as a little mini motherboard speaker. Looking through my motherboards manual I cant seam to find anything clearly labeled "Motherboard Speaker" (lol as if it would be that easy) It seems as if it could connect to a USB head (it has 4 pins and 2 wires)n but im not sure.

Also, my power supply has 2 setting "115" which is standard as well as "230" (its a 500w), I was wondering which setting I should use. I dont want to break anything.

Im 23, when I was a kid between the ages of 11 and 16 I was pretty big into building websites using HTML and at that time (especially earlier) CSS wasn't used as much (although I dabbled here and there, especially on smaller scale operations.

Now I am getting back into the Web game and am brushing up on everything I was interested in years ago, trying to understand PHP and CSS.

The thing is, CSS is so much more complicated, and it seems way less usefulll to me. It seems as if you have to do a whole lot of background work with more code to achieve the same result in HTML with much less code. Not to mention it seems with HTML it is way easier to customize specific things on different pages to look a specific way. With CSS, it makes everything uniform and seems to take away customization.

I understand its use for things that are repetitive such as a background, or a nav bar, but even when I seem to use it for these things specifically, it still wishes to act upon the rest of my content.

What am I missing? What are the key advantages... because I could replicate something on multiple pages by copying and pasting html from one page to another without referencing a css file.

I know this sounds like a rant, but I am honestly looking for some good insight and some of the Why's behind CSS and its applications

Fixing boss's computer just making sure om doing it right

Okay so heres the situation. I had a pc a few years back and the motherboard randomly fried. So.. i purchased another. However the the Hard drive is in tact and usable.

Recently a computer went down at a small business i work at, their hard drive fried. So i said Eureka! I have a spare! I go into the case and install the hd. Great.

Initially i was hoping it was just going to work... wrong. Since this hd was on a new motherboard, the copies of windows disdnt match and i couldnt get a product key or setup key through microsoft, they said theyd love to help but because of the different versions on both devices they couldnt get it going.

I said fine... ill just run linux on it, so i downloaded ubuntu (.iso file) and placed it onto a usb flasg drive.

I proceeded to boot up the pc, change the boot order in the bios to the usb first, saved then restarted it. Of course it booted from the hd... grrr.. here came windows and its verification screen.. so i proceeded to do it again and go into the boot menu, i selected the option to boot from usb... and was met with...

disc error blah blah

Infuriated i repeatedly tried over and over, i ever started pressing random stuff and was met with a nifty bios screen that asked me what os i wanted to boot... the only option that it gave me was windows....

Someone help as this machine is useless without a usable os

The website im building is for my girlfriends dog training and breeding business. I want to create a navigation menu with images, and have them change on hover using HTML. You can do this using a simple tag.. but it doesnt seem to be working. The image and link work, but it wont change on hover.

There seems to be a few random people that cycle in and out, but for the past couple of weeks a few of them have stayed the same. Is it possibly people who view your profile? Because theres a person thats always on that list (out of 720 friends) who's pic is always there somewhere on the list. I would love that to be the case. How could it be random if a few of the same ppl pop up every time. (Its not like me and this person talk much or message eachother either)

Googled it, and couldnt fint one. Any ideas?

The problem is, every time I search for places I can go, it is all camp site type locales with amenities and close to civilization/roads.

I want to have to make my OWN campsite out in the woods miles away from people. I want to go with a few friends for a 3-day trip. We want to really get our Bear Grylls on if you know what I mean. It just seems like everywhere is either private property or has restrictions on overnight camping and fires.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

So my girlfriends car is pretty messed up, first, her muffler cracked, then shortly after/before her brakes BARELY work. I change my own pads/rotors and do so for other so I know a little bit about brakes. I checked the brake fluid and its full. Her pads and rotors are only 6 months old and there's plenty of material left on the pads.

I did some further investigation and I squeezed the brake hose on each of the two front tires while my girlfriend pumped the brakes. The drivers side hose showed signs of pressure, the passenger side diddnt, it was as if the push of the brakes diddnt pressurize the fluid at all on that side, but if there was a leak in the hose/break line, she would be loosing fluid and she's not.

I was wondering if this could be an issue with the combination valve, because thats what im thinking.

Im trying to learn a little bit more about it so I dont get screwed by a mechanic, what is the average price for such a repair?
