  • HANDS ON A CLOCK FACE PROBLEM?

At 12:00 noon sharp both the minute hand

and the hour hand point straight up and

are on top of one another on all round 12

    hour clock faces.

One hour later the minute hand has made

a full circle and is again straight up at

the 12. During that same hour the hour

hand has moved and is now on top of the 1.

Exactly what time will it be when the

minute next hand catches up with the hour

hand and they line up precisely again?

Please round your answer to the nearest

millisecond and use the form hh:mm:ss.sss.

Hint: it will NOT be 01:05:00.000 since

the hour hand will have moved during the

5 minutes the minute hand took to get to

the 1 where the hour hand was.

  • Plants humming birds are attracted to?

Specifically I'm looking for the name of a plant (bush?) with purple flowers, about 6-8 feet tall.

There is one down the street that is blooming now (Dec. Southern Calif) , I saw a humming bird feeding off it.

There are 50-100 tiny purple flowers crowding around the tips of branches sticking up.

Small leaves, little or no fragrance. Help me please.

  • Crazy invention idea that just might work?

Design a rechargeable lithium ion underwater backpack the size of two or three

scuba tanks. (Lithium ion batteries are light weight and store more electrical

energy per unit volume then other battery technologies).

Use electricity employing hydrolysis to split water molecules (H2O) into its

constituent gases, namely hydrogen and oxygen. Discard the hydrogen and collect

the oxygen from one of the electrodes. Pipe the O2 to the face mask - walla!

Simply plug in the pack to re-charge it before taking another dip.

    No compressors needed!

SCUEBA = Self Contained Underwater Electrical Breathing Apparatus

There are other problems that need to be worked out, but you get the basic idea.

    What are your comments, please.
