  • Looking for advice and opinions about good prepaid cell phones?

So as of present I have (and am right now using) a Virgin Mobile Event android phone. Experience has shown me that my budget won't allow for me to get a quality android phone. This one sucks a$$! So I've resigned myself to getting a decent flip phone. But having only ever had Virgin Mobile I'm definitely open to opinions, advice, and suggestions about other decent, prepaid cell phones. I know what's out there, Verizon, Net 10, Boost, Att Go phone, Tracfone, Metro PCS, etc. I'm just looking for a phone (likely) other than Virgin Mobile as all of their budget conscious phones suck. So any advice, opinions, and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Which version of Dungeons and Dragons is the best?

So I only just got started on Dungeons and Dragons and my friend gave me the 3 main books for version 3.5. He clearly favors this version. But the books are in such poor condition that their barely usable. The Monster Manual has water damage, the Players Handbook has several pages falling out (not to mention this one is photocopied in black and white), and all 3 of the books have replaced & non-original covers. I think he said their photo album covers. Anyway, I got into the game to some degree, but the condition of this set has me wanting to get a different set. Perhaps a whole new version, perhaps just well kept copies of this version. But either way, I thought I'd first get some opinions as to which version people like and why. And I know, I really am asking for opinions. That's the point. Thanks in advance.

  • Wii U or PS3? Which should I get and why?

So nothing against the PS3, but it's best days are pretty much behind it. But at the same time it does have an amazing library of games and while the best games will no doubt be on PS4 and XBOX One, the PS3 will surely have more before it's phased out.

Meanwhile, the Wii U is a current gen system and is the only current gen system that's backwards compatible. Plus Nintendo's first party, multiplayer games are usually better than either XBOX's or PlayStation's (Super Smash Bros vs PlayStation All stars). But of all the current gen systems, the Wii U has and is struggling the most, by far. Plus while the reviews say that it can keep up with the PS3/XBOX 360, most actual owners question that.

All of these things have me liking both to some degree, but I can only get one at the moment. I was totally into the original Wii and good like it's successor, but I know there's a lot to love about the PS3 too. It just seems that a PS3 is more about getting a system knowing that it has a great game library, while getting a Wii U is more about getting a system knowing that while it can play original Wii games, I'll be likely more into the games that are coming up. All of these things makes me want more opinions and advice. Thanks.

  • How does one determine the best size TV for their house/room?

First off, I don't buy into the notion that bigger is better and to just get the biggest TV I can afford, but I also don't want a TV that's going to end up looking to small either. I checked a few sites that are supposed to give figures, numbers, and stats on how to determine the best size TV for ones situation, but I quickly found it to be all too confusing. I'm looking for a simple answer, not a scientific, mathematical equation. I have enough to get both a decent size (if need be) and decent brand TV. I just want to find the right size TV for my setup. The room it'll be used in is 15 X 11, and I sit appropriately 6 feet back from where my TV is. It'll also be my primary TV. Please help.

  • Cooking pork chops in a crock pot?

Simply put, is this a good idea or bad idea? If good, what are some good things to cook with it (no cabbage or onions) and any all around good tips? Or just good crock pot recipes centering around pork chops?

  • I'm a 36 year old guy, who's single and lonely. Help?

OK so I ain't very outgoing. I've tried a few dating sites recently, no luck. In my late teens I tried the bar scene, again, no luck. Admittedly I am a bit overweight. I'm probably the definition of average as far as looks go. I ain't looking for some one right romance, but a female who I can get to know and who accepts me as I am and isn't out to change or better me. Oh, I also have no car (just saying, it's been a reason before) and rely primarily on a bicycle for transportation. Anyway, I'm just looking for a nice, reasonably attractive female, with a nice personality. But I don't where to begin with even finding someone like that. My most recent luck finds most females are already in a relationship. Help me figure out where to start and what I'm doing wrong.

  • Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse?

What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions? Do you do them on Christmas eve or Christmas day? Favorite Christmas songs, stories and movies?

  • OK, let me try asking from a different perspective. XBOX 360 E or PS3 Super Slim?

So I guess I'm asking with certain knowledge already known. No internet connection, other than this here android phone, means that I don't care about that. Most of my friends have both and have little preference. I already have a blu-ray player. And I could live with either library of games and the systems controllers.

So my question? I've had major issues with both systems from the previous generation (original XBOX & PS2), both of my XBOX's got the red ring of death in less than a year's time, and I had at least three PS2 Slims, none of which lasted more than 18 months. All were well cared for. The only thing that could be viewed as being hard on it was that they were my only system and so they were constantly being used. I add this cause it'll be true of whatever system I soon get.

Whether I end up with a PS3 or a XBOX 360, I'll be getting the system brand new (like with the previous generation systems I had). I had both for very brief periods of time and never got hooked on either one. I'm just looking for whichever one will be more fun and last a substantial amount of time without being problematic. So, with this in mind, which is likely the better system?

  • Is the XBOX 360 E a durable system, made to last, or problematic?

XBOX has had a history of overheating and red ringing systems. Though it wasn't as widespread as the first 360, the original XBOX (from 2001) started XBOX with a bad rep in terms of console manufacturing. The original design 360 cemented this. Enter the XBOX 360 Slim. OK, so XBOX can consistently make a reliable console. But now people are having issues with their Kinect's, but at least the system is fine (honestly don't care about Kinect).

But this all begs the question of why they put out a new version: the XBOX 360 E? What's the point? It's already been shown that the size difference between it and the first slim is negligible. Oh, wait, it looks a little like the XBOX One. But if that's what one was after, then that's what they'd get. So I just have to wonder if the new/current XBOX 360 E is a well made console? Or did XBOX cut too many corners and end up making another system that's doomed to be problematic?

  • Is the PS3 Super Slim as durable and long lasting as the other PS3's?

When the PS2 Slim came out the system took a noticeable decline in quality....especially with the second Slim design. They simply didn't last very long if used as your primary system. I had 3 of them. All new. None lasted more than 18 months. The front loading PS3 Slim had it's issues with the yellow light of death. The Super Slim has a top that looks like it ain't meant to last.

All of this has me questioning how well made the PS3 Super Slim is. The expected life expectancy of them.
