  • How much is acceptable to ask for a raise?

I'm a nanny and just had my year anniversary with the family I'm with. I'd like to ask for a raise, and if she asks how much I'd like, I want to have a good idea of what to ask for. This is my first time as a nanny and before this I was in childcare for two years. Currently I make $7.80 an hr and she pays my half of social security and medicare in exchange for cleaning the house. I live in Wisconsin and I'm with an almost 15 month year old all day (10 hrs a day; 4 times a week) and there are two twin almost 7 year olds that are here for two hrs a day until summer break starts, where they will be here all day. From this info, could anyone tell me what an acceptable raise would be after a year?

  • Is there anywhere in The Bible that forbids living together before marriage?

Or is it just a guideline? Do you have any specific references? Thanks!

  • Does anybody know nanny rates?

I'm currently a nanny for a family of three children full time and they pay me $7.80 an hour. Now, my boss would like to know if I would be willing to watch her friends daughter once a week who is three years old. They asked me to pick a rate to pay me and I have no clue what the rate is for one child once a week. Any thoughts or helpful websites? Please let me know! Thanks!

  • Is there something wrong with my rat?

I put a box in my rats cage because he likes to sleep in it, but everytime I change out the box, there are red smears all over it. The top of his feet, and in his nails, also always look like they're tinted red. Do you think it's blood, or just from stepping in his own feces? His feet have white bumps on the bottoms of them, but I compared that to bumblefoot and I don't think it's that. Any suggestions?
