How to get these leaves out of the pool?
I have an above ground pool that has not been opened in two years and the previous owner didn't cover it right so there are TONS of leaves in the bottom. Is there any way to vacuum them out without having to empty the strainer basket in the filter a million times? Is there any way to replace that with something larger temporarily to catch the leaves? We scooped out as many as we could reach by hand but we can't even see the bottom yet.
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow can I get my husband to act like a responsible adult?
I have a great relationship with my husband, except for the fact that he won't help out with any of the household responsibilities. I work all day, pay the bills, do all the laundry, the dishes the cleaning and taking care of the pets. This was a slight problem before, but now I am 3 months pregnant. I am overstressed and tired and the only thing i have to look forward to when I come home every day is more cleaning up. It feels like i have absolutely no time to do anything for myself because I'm always making sure something else gets done. My husband works less hours than I do and then comes home and plays computer games for hours. I keep praying that even one time when he promises to do something he will actually follow through and do it. We have had the talk a million times and he promises to help out but nothing ever changes. The situation is making me really depressed because he doesn't even try to understand how tired I am right now and that I want a partner, not a large lazy kid. Even when he sees that i am doing things like lifting heavy loads of laundry he doesn't offer to do it for me, he just tells me that i shouldn't be doing it. The last time I checked the washer won't load itself! I am terrified that once the baby comes I will spend every waking moment cleaning up after the two of them and never get any rest. I also don't want our kids following in those footsteps. I have tried making chore lists for him, dividing up the chores into things he "likes" to do, asking him every single time something needs doing. You name it I've tried it. He won't even put his dishes in the sink after eats or throw his trash in the bin on the way by. His dirty dishes and clothes and soda cans are spread all throughout the house. I can't understand why he should only have to do things he claims to like and i have to do everything else. I am sick of being his mother. I should not have to make him a list and tell him every single little thing that needs to be done. I am going crazy here and feel like I am headed for the single mom of two (husband and child) lifestyle. Anybody have any advice?
11 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoWhat accessories go with this shirt?
I just got a new shirt that is a 3/4 sleeve scoop neck and is rose colored. The color is really pretty but washes me out just slightly. What color necklace (or other accessories) can I wear that will look nice and stand out to give it a bit more kick?
3 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoHow can I get her to stop touching my husband?
So there is a girl who is part of a group of my husband's friends/ colleagues who seems to have a problem with acting appropriately around my husband. Vocal flirting is one thing but she is always physical. She has openly groped him in my presence. I trust my husband completely but i do not think that i should have to put up with that kind of behavior when we socialize with that group of people. He says that he gives her signals to indicate that he doesn't like what she does but she obviously isn't getting the hint since it happens every time we see her. He thinks i hate his friends but I am really just sick of putting up with her crap. My feelings are that if he had "taken care" of it then it wouldn't be happening anymore. How can i get him to take care of it for good? Or is it appropriate for me to say something to her? What should I say that will put her in her place without making a big scene? We are going to a party this weekend and she will be there. I would like to be able to have an enjoyable time without having to deal with this.

13 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoHow do i stop idealizing past relationships??
It seems that every time i am in a new relationship as soon as something goes wrong or it is not fantasy-like anymore, I start to idealize my most recent relationship. My head turns it into soething much greater than it actually was and i get depressed thinking that i could have been having something better. I think this is preventing me from truly falling in love. How can i stop doing this?
