A car ride going the same speed is a bit boring? Even slower roller coasters going around 30-40 mph like the ones at Disneyland can be a hell of a lot of fun, and yet driving or riding in a car at that speed feels slow and boring. I understand there are curves and dips in a roller coaster and occasional loops, but try driving on a winding or rough road or driving downhill at 30, 40 or even 50 mph. Hell, even 60 or 70 for some of us. You're not exactly going to be having a blast and screaming like you would on a coaster. A small child falls asleep in a car going 80 mph on a long drive down the freeway and yet is either having a blast or scared on a kiddie coaster going 20 mph. What is the exact science behind this?

Why are so many conservatives vile and sick enough to want CA to fall into the ocean, inflicting the death and devastation of millions of people, children included? What is wrong with you people? How can you hate people so much as to wish for and prepare to celebrate their deaths simply because you don't agree with their political standpoints or because of where they happen to live? Do you realize that not all Californians are liberal, and of the ones that are left-leaning, most are not extreme left granola eating hippies? Do you really think that all 38 million of us are the same and even if we were all liberals like you mistakenly think, that we (children included) deserve to die a horrific death? Wishing for a good percentage of your countrymen to die is treasonous, especially since much of our military is stationed here. You need to realize that we are normal people like everyone else and you can not hate a person simply for where they call home.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but CA is never going to fall into the ocean. If you guys even bothered to get an education or at least read a book, you would know that this is impossible. It just doesn't work that way. What will happen is that a small portion of CA west of the San Andreas fault + Baja CA is moving north along with the Pacific plate so that it will eventually be near Alaska. This is a VERY slow process that will take millions of years so no one will see any significant change in their lifetimes. (cont)

In the 70s it was Dobermans, in the 80s it was GSDs, in the 90s it was Rottweilers, in the 00s it was Pit Bulls. I may be wrong, but I haven't seen a Pit Bull attack in the news for a long time. It seems that more and more people realize the truth about APBTs and more and more responsible people and families are owning them. It looks like they'll be joining Dobes, GSDs and Rotts as dogs whose ruined reputations are beginning to recover. I sincerely hope that the media, BYBs, and morons do not pick a new breed to ruin, but let's assume they will. Which breed would you guess could be the next "dangerous" breed?

While I was doing research on wolfdogs (not because I want one with small kids in the house!), I stumbled upon a Disney actress who claims to have one that is "3/4 wolf with a little husky" as the family dog. As many of us know, at least 3/4 of people who think they have "wolf hybrids" actually don't, and of those that do, most have lower content than they think, so I got curious and looked it up and found some pictures. Right off the bat I said "LOL that is not a wolf hybrid." She described him a little saying he is friendly with everyone, silly, sweet (not that wolfdogs can't be), wasn't hard to train, gets along with the cats and thinks he is one himself. Doesn't sound like a wolfdog to me. He does get carsick which is common with wolfdogs. Here are some pictures:

Doesn't really sound like a wolf howl to me.

He looks very dog-like with a few overlapping (both wolf and dog) traits like almond shaped, slanted eyes (although they appear to be dark brown rather than yellow), black lip liner and paw pads, and cow hocked hind legs. But more dog traits than anything. Definitely not a high content like they think. I think he looks like a Husky/Malamute mix and MAYBE low content, like up to 30%. What do you think? I'm not hung up on this or anything lol. I do have better things to worry about after all. Just interested and looking for opinions from more experienced people.

Suddenly burst with speed? I have seen many people in Mercedes and Corvettes, etc. driving like they're bipolar. They will be going as fast as me if not much faster and then I catch up to them and end up going past them, or I will go past them and then they will suddenly zoom by me. Why not drive consistently the same speed? Do they suddenly realize their cars can go fast or have no idea how to control their speed? Are they former Toyota drivers who press to hard on the gas pedal? I drive a BMW and consistently drive fast. Can you guys explain why you do this?

Why do people either quickly pull out in front of you or quickly enter your lane in front of you and then proceed to go much slower? Twice today I had to slam on my brakes on the freeway because of these people. This is a common occurrence. If they are passing some semi or bus they never move back out of the way! Exhibit 2: Why do people wait and then pull out when you are literally just few feet away? Are these people looking for an accident?! Several times I have had to come to a screeching halt because of these people. Exhibit 3: The people who turn left across the road just feet in front of you. I have had to come to a complete stop because of these people. Sometimes if I know I will miss them I will continue going the same speed to scare them out of doing it again. I live near the beach in Southern CA and it was a nice sunny day in the 60s and now it's in the 50s, a bit chilly. We had some rain a few days ago and now there's plenty of white powder on the mountains for great snowboarding. Yay! What's it like where you are? I saw this exact thing today and it was hilarious. I was about to turn right, and this woman in the front of the line was on her phone and the line of cars behind her were honking like crazy. I turned anyway since they weren't moving and when I looked in the rear view mirror the light had turned red without them ever moving.

Why would you wish for the tragic deaths of 38,000,000 people, 13% of the population? Do you realize that these statements are disturbing and treasonous? You are wishing for millions of your own fellow countrymen to perish in a devastating natural disaster that breaks the state off into the ocean. It's not like it's ever going to happen, so don't get your hopes up. Part of CA is going to become an island in millions of years, it won't fall into the ocean. I wish you people the worst in life. They don't care about their STEPCHILD and have a problem with the child receiving child support, saying that the mom is greedy and just wants money. They call these other women names like slut etc. They are fine with the "father" having nothing to do with the child and even support him. They don't seem to realize this other child is their child's SIBLING. These types women and men disgust me. I am very involved in all my children's lives from both women and that's the way it should be. Getting divorced/breaking up doesn't mean you divorce your child too. Even if it was a one night stand, you should be in that child's life and the new wife/gf should accept that child and encourage the father to take care of said child(ren), and if he won't, leave and don't have kids with him! Am I right?

I just thought it was interesting. L.A. has such a small skyline even though it is the second largest and one of the most important in the country. Unfortunately some people will judge a city based on its skyline and this is why some people think LA is boring. I love the city but admittedly I think the skyline is only interesting because of the mountains. I know they are building some new high rises, but is there a reason for the small skyline? I know the city doesn't need so many skyscrapers to be great and blah blah, so save the lecture. I just think it's interesting.

I asked a similar question before with videos of different dogs, but I am now narrowing it down to the dog that looks like mine. In your opinion, does he look like an American Staff. or and American Bully? He's definitely too big to be an APBT. Maybe a mutt?

I've seen some pictures of AmStaffs that look like the dogs above, but most of the ones I've seen are a bit smaller and look more like APBTs. I don't think they look like AmBullies because they're not short and fat tanks with massive heads like most Ambullies I've seen. But I'm not very experienced, so I would like your opinion.

I'm going to New York a few times in the near future and I found out the temperature in the ocean off NY is in the 60s in June. I live in CA and am used to swimming in cold water, but most east coasters complain about the ocean here, so we thought it would be funny to jump into the ocean and go for a swim in June so people can look at us like we're crazy. Thing is, I'm not sure if NYers consider it cold or do they still go swimming at that time? When do they start to get in the ocean? We're going in May too so maybe May is a better idea?

People seem to hate on California because it is prone to earthquakes. They act like we have 7.0 earthquakes every month, mudslides that kill hundreds, and wildfires that burn down entire cities. When people talk about the great weather in CA, they fire back with the mudslides, earthquakes, and wildfires, as if that is considered "weather". Well newsflash, the last major earthquake we had was in 1994, most of them you don't even feel. The building codes here are very high and earthquakes here don't kill as many people as they kill in undeveloped countries. Mudslides only affect people living on hills, and wildfires only happen in forests in the hills. Why do people act like CA is constantly in total carnage? Cal is not the only state to experience natural disasters, including earthquakes. You can't build a house to withstand an F4 tornado! And no, CA is not going to fall into the ocean. That's impossible. It will break off the US and become an island while we're rotting in our graves. Question is, why are people so ignorant about this? I don't go around hating Florida telling people not to go there acting like it gets deadly hurricanes once a month!
