I have a friend, and we were quite close at one time.

But over time, she kept on complaining and ranting about people in her life and how they mistreat her.

The thing is, she rants about her friends behind their backs, so naturally I'm scared that she's doing the same about me.

She also tends to pit people against each other. For example I once blew up at this guy for being mean to her so he ran off and cried. She followed after him and told him I was heartless even though she was the one who made me yell at him. Since then our relationship has never been the same.

I just can't trust her.

I don't know what to do... I'm scared that she might be turning common friends against me.

Have any of you been through the same experience?

If not, why?
