  • Why so many comments on issues many have never experienced?

I'm a sailor, spent years at sea, of course I laugh at the silliness of someone from the mountains/plains commenting on life on the ocean if they've never even smelled salt air. The same analogy applies to many of the silly comments by atheists on a relationship they have no base of knowledge about.

I value intelligent questions, interesting views, thoughtful comments. But those who quip from habit on issues they lack knowledge of are like the childless couple at a dinner party giving parenting advice...

Serious question seeking serious, thoughtful answers for in-site. I've been on both sides and have had a close, personal relationship with Jesus for about 6 years now, after decades of reading/studying various beliefs and being an atheist.

    Seeking answers, not quips...thank you.

  • Do any of those who constantly deride God or make fun of Him, have any personal experiences to back it up?

I don't mean do u have a bad experience w/ christians. By definition, we admit we are just a bunch of sinners. I mean, do u have any real, negative personal experience with God. If u don't think He is real, u r eliminated, so don't look silly by saying "can't, He ain't real...

  • Deeply resent the comparison of the proud women who are putting their lives on the line in war?

with the sick need to abuse women, debase them or lessen the heroic effort they put forth.

I salute all women in the armed forces, those I served with and those before and since. I respect the women who choose to fight, as well as the support roles that are filled.

However, there are few women as physically strong as me.

How can any person compare this heroic effort to the desire not to be hit by a coward of a man, while standing in the bedroom or more likely from behind, just to make some wimp's point that is totally devoid of any form of logic or pride?

  • Children and God?

If you have children, you know that they often don't have the experience to know what is good or bad for them. Often, tantrems are thrown when they don't get what they want, (mistaken as need). They often think it mean to deny, punish, impose limits ...

  • Hurricane katrina displaced almost 75% of the families along the MS coast.?

Pretty much everywhere you look, from right after the hurricane until now, volunteer church groups are in 100 degree heat and 100% humidity, replacing roofs, rebuilding houses, clothing, feeding, paying for utilities and appliances and just generally meeting the needs of those in dire straits. They supply the money, materials and manpower for the work. They live in tents and campers, use family vacations ...

There really aren't any non church groups noticably active.

Can anyone tell me of some non church groups or individuals active in this or other such American disasters?

    Please be specific.
