How can I remove fuel/oil stains from a carpet please?
I must have had something on the soles of my shoes earlier today, and there are now lots of small stains on my beige carpet - it could be lawnmower fuel/oil. I have tried a carpet stain remover mousse but it is not removing them at all. They are now dry stains.
Can anyone help with how to remove this please.

UK please
Can anyone help resolve a problem with a Thomson DTI6300 freeview plus box ? We had a short power cut and since the power came back on we have not been able to use the box as no lights are showing on it. It is ticking/clicking inside so power is reaching it. We have tried pressing or holding in the standby button on the box, switching it off and on at the wall socket etc but no response.
1 AnswerTiVO & DVRs1 decade agoElectrical wiring for ceiling light UK?
Can anyone tell me if it is safe in a ceiling light fitting (there are 2 lights in the same room on a ring main) which has a total of 7 wires coming from the ceiling, to narrow down the 7 wires to 3 by using a connector block ? e.g. put 2 live wires into one side of the connector block and have only one live wire out of the other side, 2 neutral into 1, and 3 earth into 1 ? I have bought new light fittings but the bits to connect the wires into are so small there is only room for 3 wires. The other light is ok as it only has 4 wires to connect (1 live, 1 neutral, 2 earth) and I have been able to do this by squeezing the 2 earth in together, but the 7 wires in the other one just won't go.
