Does anybody know where you can find salmiakki?
For those of you who know what I'm talking about and why, that is. I've been told that salty licorice or anything that can be substituted for it cannot be found in the states. I have not given up hope? Does anyone know a place (preferable franchised) where I can find them or something that can be substituted for it?
2 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits1 decade agoMy moisture loving cat.?
Ok. Right off the bat, I have a tuxedo short hair. He scratches up the carpet a bit and knocks down his occasional water glass or lamp, but other then that, he's a member of the family. When I play with him, though we occasionally use toys, what he loves the most is wrestling. I know that sounds weird but he really likes it! The whole point is that he tries to bite me to elicit a response. I defend myself but pushing him away or holding him down or just trying to be generally faster than him. For those of you who thinks that this is dangerous or abusive, when he does bite me he never tries to draw blood. He's NOT de-clawed and he only bats at me with his paws instead of scratching. Long story short neither of us are injured.
Now for the reason why I'm asking this question.
When I get out of the shower and dry off, I'm not 100% dry on account of my body hair. I also usually wear shorts due to the tropical climate. When I step out of the bathroom, my cat INSTANTLY knows I just showered. Thus, he chases me down and starts to....I don't know... bite at my feet and legs. If I decide to lay down on the couch, he'll then jump and lick, bite, paw at, and "roll" at and on my head! While my family bursts out in laughter watching this, I endure the weirdest thing I have ever felt. It's like Davie Crockett's hat came to life. After all the rubbing up and what not, he then starts to bite and indicate he wants to play. Playing use to be any time, now it's ALWAYS after I shower. If I try to retreat into another room and close the door, he gives me the sad face :(
Does anybody know why my cat does this? Is it about smell or what? Cats don't like water!
2 AnswersCats1 decade agoDo you think that Christians should have their own language ?
Like a biblical language or something? I've wondered this for a while. Since the Jews have Hebrew (along with others, Yiddish and Ladino being examples) and the Muslims have Arabic, shouldn't Christians have like Aramaic or something? I know the bible was purposefully written in the vernacular, but wouldn't it be much more simple if all Christians could speak like Latin? Since Judaism comes from all parts of the word, Jews have the means to communicate with each other. same goes with Muslims. Or at least would it be nice with denominations? like Catholics speak Spanish or Italian and Protestants speak like German or etc. ?
Though I'm not religious at all, I just think it would be a whole lot easier if they all had a little common ground in communication.

1 AnswerLanguages1 decade agoAtheists, doesn't it seem like....?
People are just LINED up WAITING for a question about God ? Like you're waiting to retort to a religious question just to flaunt what you feel is your superior whit and intellect ? Do you really have nothing better to do with you time ? When someone has a religiously based question which, when not always being the best worded, 12 or 13 answers will appear in a flash. Most of them I've noticed are usually sarcastic.
Having a lack in faith myself, in my opinion those who have faith are ok in my book. Unless of course they try to condemn you or convert you. Call me a hypocrite, but it just seems that way to me.
