My step daugher has uterine cancer, a malignant germ tumor. Any survivors with info on treatments following su?
We are still in shock as she lost her twins one week before her due date due to an accident a few months back. Everyone in the family is looking up info. I thought I would reach out to the Yahoo Answers community to see if anyone is familiar with this cancer and its treatments - before or after the total hysterectomy. Thanks for sharing.
4 AnswersCancer1 decade agoWill milk frozen before its expiration date still be good when thawed?
With the price of milk going up, up, up, I want to take advantage of sales on gallon size. But rarely do I find milk with expiration date more that 5-7 day ahead of purchase. If I freeze it when I buy it, when I thaw it will it stay good for the next 5-7 days?

2 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoCan I use bleach when washing a down bedtopper? If not what to disinfect?
My old cat had a major accident on my bed. I want to disinfect as I wash. But I don't know if bleach will damage/destroy the feathers.
P.S. Buying a new one is not an option.

3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoBesides Ebay, anyone know of ways to sell a BabysRUs/ToysRUs gift card?
It's for $500 and we are willing to discount. Sadly my daughter lost her twins just days before her due date, but BabysRUs/ToysRUs won't refund the money. Some others made exceptions to their non-refundable rule for hardship. She could really use the money.

6 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoRoses - can I cut them down now & how short? Can I feed now?
I don't know much about roses but am trying to save old ones in yard.
Last fall I cut the stragling branches/stems back to about 12" each. There are now buds on all of them. But last year, all that happened is alot of growth but no flowers. Neighbours say it had lots of flowers in the past before it got rooted out by construction in 2007 & I replanted it. Help would be surely appreciated.
Any rose expert in the Bronx willing to come by for hands-on lessons?
4 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoSeeking advise &/or informationon donating insulin.?
I am aware this is a prescription drug. So I am open to suggestions and information from members of our community. Please help me donate this to a needy individual or organization.
I remember when I was first diagnosed and had no health insurance. It cost about $400 retail for the insulin and supplies. And that was 2 years ago. I shudder to think what uninsured people are going through. I also think about countries abroad where diabetics can't even get insulin.
Thanks for all input.

My indoor cat escaped and when he returned he was injured... he could barely walk. I want to take him to a vet but we are surviving on my small wage, and have no money for a vet. I am so worried. Does anyone know of free or token cost vet for cats?
1 AnswerCats1 decade agoWhere can I buy 2 to/or 5 gallon container of kerosene for a heater?
Location in New York, especially Manhattan or the Bronx.
I'm looking to save money. Kerosene is more expensive than gas! The 1 gallon size barely fills my tank.
3 AnswersGreen Living1 decade agoCashing in gift cards?
Our daughter has $4,000 worth of gift cards to various baby related stores.
Tragically, she was in a car accident and both the twins died, and due to her injuries she will not be able to have children in the future. The various stores when contacted said "non-refundable". Does anyone have any suggestions for turning these cards into cash? Thank you.
2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoHow do I prune a mystery rose bush?
Last year I rescued a rose bush from a construction site. I put it in my garden in a sunny spot, gave it rose food & have waited to see what happened. What happened is I got 2 red blooms that opened out kinda flat. Since then the branches are just growing - no more flowers. I know there are different types of roses but I have no idea what this one is. A friend cut it back this spring, but the branches just grew back. Right now they are around 6 feet long. Can anyone advise on pruning when you are not sure what kind of rose you have? Is it possible that this is a trailing rose and needs a trellis?

3 AnswersCats1 decade agoI can't find a groomer for my cat in the Bronx, NY or Younkers, NY. Any recommendations?
I adopted a 5 year old, 20 lb. indoor cat who has taken to my garden & become an in/out cat. Now his black & white coat is gray & biege. My hands are in splints. I don't think I can handle trying to give him his 1st bath ever. LOL. I need a pro for weekly grooming ... & his nails need clipping too.
