  • How to fix behavioral issues in 8yr old dachshund mix?

Long story short ... I lived with my parents in a huge house but was forced to move due to losing our home. I stayed at hotels/couch surfed, then acquired a small 577sqft apt. Since moving my 8yr old rescue has had issues. She was sad bc we lost the only home she knew, werent living with family, and i was working a lot tryna bounce back, but after about 6 months, she got better. Fast forward to almost a yr later&she randomly starts peeing/pooping inside and it seemed like she was just doing it to do it. For that reason, i started crating her or blocking her in the kitchen (only tiled area) w a gate. It worked til about 4 wks ago when she got diarrhea/vomiting which i feel was anxiety induced This went on for a few days, vet saw nothing wrong & agreed. She was ok for a few days. Then she started whining and hitting the crate door every single night. I need to break this bc I haven t slept a full night in weeks. I m up due to loud whining and/or cleaning anxiety poop. I m exhausted. Tried ignoring her but she keeps it up till she poops, then I have to get up to clean her up. Tried just leaving her in the kitchen but she just jumps the gate. I tried putting her in my room but she pooped on the floor when she wasn t allowed in bed.

The vet doesn t see anything wrong medically & w her history of separation anxiety/needy nature believes it s behavioral.

  • How to get pro-rated rent due to pest infestation?

My move in date was October 19 (Wednesday) but the night after I moved a lot of my stuff in I noticed roaches. Because of them being just about everywhere I stayed with a friend. Every night after work I came in to clean and sort of my things and ALWAYS ended up killing bugs. I contacted management then went to WalMart to pick up Bengal spray. My sister said that a neigbor could have pest or it could be because the apartment was vacant for a bit before my move in. Days passed and they kept coming so I picked up Round Up and sprayed with that. Didn't work so I sprayed again. I pay for pest control monthly (as a part of my rent) and set up to have them come spray that upcoming friday... but they didn't. So I sprayed again, myself. Now they say I have to wait another week til this upcoming Friday (today is Tues) to get services. I didn't live here for an entire week and have now been here in the unlivable conditions since then. I would like to have my rent prorated. Is that asking too much or is that the usual request. I live in Tx if that makes a difference. (Also, I have taken numerous pictures of bugs before killing them so I o have evidence)

  • Does any natural hair (African American) women have tips for a passport photo?

I am a Black woman with natural hair (it is big, coily, and can rarely be "tamed"). I am applying for a passport but I notice in the examples that everyone has straight-ish hair that lays down...mine does not. They want you to look natural and I rarely wear my hair straight so...what's the deal? Will they accept my photo which has my hair being cut off at the top (it doesnt leave space at the top). https://flic.kr/p/Gjo2Em You can see what I mean in the photos I got taken for this purpose.

  • There are weird worm looking creatures in my aloe vera plant water. What are they?

I was wondering whether they were parasitic or something I should get rid of immediately. I use these plants for burns, skin care, as well as for my hair so I don't wanna use anything that could be harmful for myself or family. I tried attaching a picture but it won't allow me. Theyre about as long as a pinky nail, have somewhat white segmented bodies, black ends, and they thrash about.

  • Got a inquiry from a non-fixed VOIP number and I'm wondering if I'm terrible for believing it could a scam. Does anyone have experience?

I have a photography business and usually get clients through my web presence and word of mouth, but I got an email the other day from someone interested and I set up a time to have a phone consultation. Today, "Lisa Perez", called and 1) was a man 2) had more of an Indian accent 3) spoke broken limited english...but the area code is 774 and the shoot is supposed to be in Houston. Maybe I'm paranoid but Idk. I wanted to see what other people thought about so I can see whether I'm being irrational or if there's reason to believe this is a scam. Thanks!

  • How to stop internal ear bleeding from ear cleaning?

I went to the doctor get a strep test done and to have my ear checked out due to an earache. The nurse said that I had a lot of earwax in the ear that was hurting so she removed it. At one point she stated that she nicked my canal a tiny bit but it wasn't a big deal and it would stop on it's on. That was around 2pm today. It's 6:04om now and it's still bleeding. I had gauze that she gave me in there but I removed it because it seemed to be getting full of blood, but in doing so I pulled out a clot. Now I'm trying to figure out if I keep gauze in there until it hardens or just keep wiping it away and let it stop on it's own. I dont want blood on my pillow. Thanks!

  • Possible for Associates to Cover Bad Grades? Transfer Student?

Had personal issues, made lower grades, left school for a few years. Now that I'm back I should only have about a year it maybe two left, but the school I'm transferring to doesn't accept D's. They say I have to retake those classes or get an Associate's before enrollment...but I'm already enrolled for Fall so I was going to take the last 3-4 classes required for my Associates while continuing to work on my bachelor's. My old advisor told me that even with D's, if you have a degree any school you transfer to has to accept them (as long as your GPA is acceptable) bc those grades are "covered" by a degree. My current school is saying that bc I'm already enrolled without the Associates that even if I were to obtain one they could still not accept the D's.

I was wondering if anyone knows if this is possible. I will be taking the CLEP exam for two of those classes this summer. I've already been in school too long so I don't want to stop and have to waste an entire year on four classes when I can do it all at once.

  • Associates and Bachelors At Once?

I started university in 2010 but had some very tragic events happen that led to me either failing or getting D's that year. I didn't get any counseling and tried to return to school but ended up doing the same exact thing my Fall semester of sophomore year. Decided to get some help and ended up taking two years off of school to get myself together mentally. During those two years I took any class I failed over (about 2 at a time) and decided I was ready to go back to school. Started working on my Associates at the community college bc that's what I could afford, but I'd already had a good amount of credits towards my bachelor's.

I'm transferring to another university to continue my Bachelor's pursuit and am only about four classes from an associates, and about a 1 1/2 year from my BA. This school told me I could work on both, receive my Associates which would "cover" the D's and then allow me to finish my BA. The school does not accept D's as passing which is why it was recommended to do both at once.

Now that I'm enrolled they are saying that they may not ignore the D's if I get an Associate's simply bc I'm already enrolled and didn't have it when I first became a student. I'm planning to take CLEP exams that should grant me my Associates but I don't think I'll be done before the Fall.

the school is Prairie View A&M .

Does anyone know if this is possible?

    thanks!

  • Good computer for both video editing and gaming?

I need a new laptop and I want to get something that will cover all the bases so to speak. I was going to get a Mac for editing bc I'll be doing that both at school as well as home, and maybe get a desktop built for gaming...BUT now I'm gonna be commuting and want my laptop to do both. Gaming is nowhere near as important as editing as I do mostly console gaming, but it would be nice to have both worlds. Also, I do a lot of word processing and presentations.

Basically, I will be editing heavily, typing heavily, using media heavily, and a little gaming.

I'm willing to go up to $1300 if it's a Mac but something in me doesn't feel comfortable paying that much for a PC...If there is one that's great up to that range feel free to list it anyway.

    THANK!!

  • Natural 4a-4b Hair now curlier after haircut...?

I had about three inches cut off and my hair straightened for the first time. I just washed it to revert my hair back and it's WAY more curly than before. It had curls but they were frizzy and didn't clump all that well. Now they're clumping up a storm and actually are bigger than before. I've only been natural for a year so it's possible that I still haven't seen my natural hair pattern since I'm still figuring things out, but I still found this to be a little weird. Has this happened to anyone else?

  • What Is My Natural Hair Type?

I've transitioned and cut my hair before and now I'm doing it again after going back to relaxers. Bc I've been doing protective styles, I have cut portions of relaxed hair from the natural hair that has grown (about 3inches). My hair has curls similar to a pen spring but looser and a tad bit bigger than that. It honestly looks like 4a, but the time it takes to dry out confuses me (I moisturize and the next day it's dry). What do you think my type is and how should I moisturize it? I plan on transitioning until it reaches my nose (at this rate that will be around 10months). Any suggestions on a new hair care routine would be nice.

  • Is this my birth control causing problems?

I've been on lo loestrin fe (for horrible menstrual cycles) for about 2-3yrs now but stopped taking them in December bc it was making me nauseous. I didnt start back until March bc after I stopped I didn't immediately have a cycle. Anyway, since I started back I've been getting extremely bloated (my normally flat stomach sticks out far enough to make a bump under my shirt and hang over my waistband) and having pains in my back and headaches. That stopped last week. Saturday was my last pill in the pack and since then I've had piercing headaches, fatigue, a little spotting, and very small cramps. I know that I previously had withdrawals a few months ago, but could these new symptoms be attributed to me getting back on the pill?

I am going to the doctor, but I couldn't get an appointment til the end of next month and that's a long time to be wondering lol

  • How to pan sear chicken breast that have been shot up with a seasoning mix?

I made a little mix of chicken broth with spices I like. I shot up the chicken, covered the chicken in the mixture, and put them in the fridge in a ziploc to marinate. Theyre sorta kinda thick and I've already tryna thinning them up by a little pounding. Anyway, I wanted to cook them on the stove bc I can't eat fried foods. I don't want them to dry out or get tough. How do I need to do this?

  • Sterling Silver .925 or 316L for promise ring?

I'm getting my boyfriend a promise ring and the one I want comes made in either of the two materials. He is pretty physical so the ring will get hit while on his hand often. Probably everyday. My ring is sterling silver and it's all scuffed and slightly bent. But I still love the shine it has.

I don't know if stainless steel would look cheap. I do NOT want anything that looks cheap for him.

    Here are the rings:

  • Getting Sued in Texas?

I am a 20yr college student with a debt that will more than likely not be able to be paid before it become deliquent. I know that this means that I will probably get sued by the collection agency working for the student apartment company. I was wondering what that entailed? I don't have any property (back home with my folks) and my car isn't in my name at all. I really have no assets to my name. What happens when that's the case? I heard that it pretty much just makes me acknowledge in court that I owe them money, then have to pay it off...which is gonna have to happen anyway. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew about this. Thanks.
