  • DISH satellite dish still in my yard?

I've been meaning to ask this question for a couple years. So like 6 or 7 years ago, we had DISH satellite TV for about a year and a half. They put the dish right at the end of our house where we park our cars. Been waiting for the dreaded day when someone would hit the damn thing.

Anyway, yeah it's been like 6 years since we unsubscribed from DISH and the satellite dish is still in our yard. So do we own the DISH? Does DISH still own it? Do we have to call them to come get it? What's up? It's been an eyesore for years now and I think it's time it goes.

  • YouTube question?

Is there a way to get YouTube videos to load? What I mean by that is I have slower internet (1.5 MBPS) and when I want to watch a video at higher quality (720p or 1080p) I have to let them load a few minutes so the video isn't constantly buffering. However when I do this, they will only load maybe 4-7 minutes of the video before they stop for whatever reason. They will go farther once I actually watch the video, but other than that they don't load any further. When I pre-load with 480p they almost always load the whole video.

  • Monarch caterpillar question?

So I've had around 5 or 6 monarch caterpillars on the milkweed outside my house, and I looked it up and read about the caterpillars, and I had enough resources and stuff that I believe I can bring them inside, put them in an enclosure and take care of them. (1, to show my niece, who comes over every other weekend, and 2, they are becoming endangered and I figured they stood a better chance inside my house.)

However, since I've brought them in and put them in their enclosure, they've been a little shy and aren't moving much. They have plenty of air, space and all the milkweed they could ask for. I followed the instructions I read to care for them to a tee. Did I do something wrong or are they just a little shy.

Note: I also have a warm lamp aimed at their enclosure to imitate a warm sun, I figure that's better than them being cold.

  • Steam installation question?

So I'm just curious (I'll use Modern Warfare 2 as an example), let's say I want to download a game I have on steam, but I have really slow internet so I'd rather download it from the disk. Can I still download it from the disk once it's on Steam, or do I have to download it through the internet?

  • Baseball lineup question?

I'm looking for a site where I can see the starting lineups a team used each day for an entire season.

A random example, I want to know who the Rockies starters were and where they batted through out the whole season. I want to know each games lineup for the Rockies.

  • How do I break it to my friends and family?

So I plan on going to a counselor to discuss this further, but for now I'm starting here.

I'm a 23 year old male, and I've been having bad headaches for the past several months, and I went to the doctor a about 7 weeks back. After many tests and biopsies and one surgery, they have come to the conclusion I have a brain tumor and from the looks of it and how it has responded to tests, it is a malignant tumor. I've had many talks and more tests with doctors since then, and they feel that the tumors proximity to my brain steam makes it inoperable, essentially making it terminal brain cancer. More tests will need to be done to get a better idea, but a rough estimate suggests I've got approximately 18 months to live. The first few days after finding this out were hard on both me and my direct family but I've come to terms with what is happening and I've figured if this is how it's going to be, this is how it's going to be. I do not live in a state with Right-to-Die rights, and I don't plan on moving just to accommodate that, but I have decided I will not be receiving treatment.

How do I break this news to my extended family and friends? I'm close enough to some of my friends I consider them part of my family. Some of them do indeed know I have cancer, but they do not know it is terminal. How do I tell someone I am going to die likely by the end of next year?

  • Age of Empires 3 question?

So I was playing a 2v2 match with the AI and my ally sent me 2 villagers. I didn't know/think you could do that? Can you do that (can someone explain how, if you can indeed do that) or was that just some random thing the AI can do?

  • Half-Blood Prince question?

So I'm rewatching this movie for the first time since I saw it in theaters however many years ago. I'm curious if anyone else felt the same way about this: the scene where Snape kills Dumbledore, right before he does it Albus says "Severus... please". In the book, Dumbledore seems to beg for his life a little more, but in the movie... it almost seems like he is asking Snape to do it. I don't know, does it seem to anyone else it comes off that way?

And before anyone says it, yes I am aware Dumbledore and Snape were in on the whole thing and in a way, it was almost staged. But even then...

  • Hermoine/Harry Potter question?

So I'm rewatching Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince because it's the only Harry Potter film I haven't seen more than once.

I'm curious, did anyone else get major feels when Hermoine left the room after seeing Ron kiss that girl and Hermoine started crying? Because I've been in that exact position where I watched a person I cared very deeply for start kissing someone else and I can't imagine many worse feelings than that.

  • Looking for a certain type of car?

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a car/truck that can get 20, 30, maybe 40 MPG and also be able to pull say, a pop-up camper. We're going to Disney World this Christmas and we live in Wisconsin, and the the truck we have at the moment gets 9 MPG so obviously, I'd like to find a more efficient car if I can. I looked at some Prius' but unfortunately (while some people do anyway), it's highly not recommenced to put a hitch on Prius and pull things because it really messes up the front end.

  • Sex question?

So my girlfriend and I have sex 2 or 3 times a week. However, I do have a problem with her in bed and I don't really know how to bring it up to her. She likes cowgirl style she's told me, and she really likes that position with me and she does it almost every time we have sex. Now I've done this position with other girls, but for some reason with my current girlfriend it just doesn't feel the same. It's almost not enjoyable. I have't brought this up to her and I don't know how to tell her.

  • Should I talk to her again?

So this will be a bit long so bear with me. There's this girl we'll call Alice. Alice & I were friends for a good 4 or 5 years in high school before I started developing feelings for her. I told her about these feelings, but we decided that it would be best if we remained friends at that time. Over the past 3 years she's been in 3 or 4 relationships, but I've remained single holding out hope she would feel the same way for me. Her latest relationship started in November of last year & I just couldn't take it anymore. I explained to her how I felt & that while I wanted to see her happy, seeing her happy with someone else was killing me and we couldn't talk anymore. She was sad and upset but she understood.

That was in early November & between then and now we've talked a couple of times but nothing more than a few short social media messages. She broke up with her boyfriend a little over a month ago but I don't think either of us have plans to talk to the other anytime soon.

However, a few months back I had a dream about her where I saw her somewhere and she came up behind me and gave me a hug, and it was the most amazing feeling I had ever felt in my life. That dream made me so happy, but when I woke up I was sad knowing that the dream wasn't real. But last night I had another dream of Alice, and it was us riding around my childhood town on a bike just having fun.

Should I talk to her again? I still have feelings for her and I don't want to risk anything and hurt myself...

  • In the bed question?

So I'd say I've slept with around 30 women, and including the ones I've seen in porn and whatnot in total in my life I've seen like 200 girls get banged. My question is why when some girls are getting it, does their chest start to get red? Not super red, but more pink I guess.

  • Any idea when SpongeBob will end?

Don't get me wrong, in it's prime it was a very great cartoon and even now as an adult I still find time to watch it occasionally. It's had 9 seasons, which it pretty solid for a cartoon, and it has been airing since 1999. That is 16 years, that's in the top 5 I believe for longest running cartoons.

But any of us who have seen the more recent episodes over the past 5 years or so have realized the show is now a shell of its former self. The show had a good run, but I think it's time to take a bow and end it. I'd be in favor of postponing the end until 2016 or 2017 if they come out with a 3rd and final movie that sort of raps everything up.

  • Star Wars Death Star question?

So I have what I believe to be a very valid Star Wars question about both of the Death Star's. So at the end of Revenge of the Sith, you can see Darth Sidious and Darth Vader overlooking the construction, which is in its early stages of creation. Now it isn't until 20 something years later that they finally use it's super laser to destroy a planet. Now fast forward to Return of the Jedi and they're constructing the 2nd Death Star. Now bear in mind the time lapse between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope was about 20 years, give or take a few. The time lapse between A New Hope and Return of the Jedi was 5 years, at max. Likely a little less.

Now unless they were working on the 2nd one while the first one will still in operation (which I find highly unlikely), how in the name of hell could they have even started and already made the 2nd Death Star operational in as little as 5 years, while it took 20 years or more for the first one to become operational? And even if the first had been operation before A New Hope, I find it very unusual they hadn't tested the weapon on a planet already.

  • Runescape help?

So I recently started playing Old School Runescape after not playing for several (7+) years. However, multiple times an hour I lose my connection to the game. Looking it up online, I've noticed many people have the same problem. Is there a fix to this or is this on Jagex's end?

  • Return of the Jedi question?

So I'm one of those people that likes to know just about everything about a certain subject. I'm curious that while Yoda really had no way of knowing whether he and Luke were really the last Jedi before he died, does anyone know (expanded universe included of course) if there were any other Jedi alive at that time besides Yoda and Luke Skywalker? I felt that while the Jedi had been annihilated pretty well, there had to be at least a handful left.
