I'm auditioning for RENT at a community theater. I need a pop/rock songs, preferably not from a musical. Any suggestions?!

I'm looking for other ballet companies, and preferably cheaper, than SF Ballet to watch good performances. I recently saw Swan Lake at SF Ballet and was blown away. Of course it was rather expensive. Anywhere in the North Bay, South Bay or SF Bay Area would be great. Thanks!

I'm planning on moving to LA because I have family down there, but don't want to be too close to them. I'm a college student and am planning on going to community college down there. I've heard that North Hollywood, West Hollywood and Santa Monica are all really nice. Any others?

In the past they've made other Broadway shows into movies, and most seem to have done pretty well. I had read in an interview that a movie for "Spring Awakening" is a possibility, but I was wondering if there has been any further developments.

I've been acting since high school. I'm now 19. I've been in plays in high school and college. I'm a theatre arts/drama major at my college. My last play was "The Importance of Being Earnest" where I played Gwendolen which closed just a couple weeks ago. I've received lots of training for both stage and film and my dream is to be in studio films.

With that said, I can't get an agent until I've done some reputable work on camera for commercials and indie films. But without an agent, where do I find auditions? Please none of those online things where you have to pay however much a month to submit yourself for auditions.

I'm curious as to how Broadway casting works, specifically musicals. I saw that they held open auditions for "Spring Awakening." How do open auditions work? What kind of song would you use to audition for "Spring Awakening?"

I'm in the Bay Area and have been studying acting for about 4 years. I have a lot of training in theatre and stage, but none in film. I studied at American Conservatory Theatre as well as the college I'm at now. I'm in search for an agent right now, but wanted to build up my resume as well as get experience. I'm 5'4" brown hair, brown eyes. Half japanese half caucasian, 110 lbs. I'm almost 19, so I can submit myself without parents, but where? And how? Any suggestions would be great!
