I'm brainstorming for our work anniversary party. With the them Land, Air & Sea I was thinking guests can dress as pilots/flight attendant (for Air), pirates/sailors (for Sea). What about Land??

Any other theme/costume ideas would be great (suitable for corporate environment)

I'm from Asia and I have been studying abroad on my own in Europe for 8 years. I graduated from university last year and have been back in Asia since. Even though I have family and a few friends here in Asia, I am missing Europe a lot especially my friends.

The main reason I'm back in Asia is because I got a good job offer. I would never be hired elsewhere for this position. The employment rate is very low over in Europe, and my European work visa ends in December. So if I do decide to move back, I would have to go asap because it's already May. And even if I do get a job there right away, I don't know if the company will extend my visa to let me stay.

It sounds pathetic but I am very depressed, I feel like I have nothing here to gain apart from work. Plus, I am living at home because the rent here is ridiculous. I miss being with my friends so much! People here are nice but they are nothing like my old ones.

Everyday when I'm in the office and at home I think of how unhappy I am with my life. Don't get me wrong, I know I'm very lucky to be healthy and living under a roof and all that. But I just wish to be happy.

The only solution I can think of is to make new ones here but it isn't always easy to make real ones.

Im in my early 20s, where can my friends and I go after my birthday dinner in London? I'm a bit picky, I want to get drunk and party! I don't want to go to a massive rave like Fabric, Ministry of Sound etc. and not a small trendy pretentious 'bar with a small dance floor' either. Something in between? any suggestions?

I am 20 and I am from Hong Kong. I have lived in UK (boarding school) on a student visa since I was 14 and I am currently in my last year at university.

I would like to obtain a permanent residency here so I can find work easier. Is it possible for me to do so without getting employed first? and if I must find a job first to obtain residency does it have to be in my field? or can I just work in business even though I study journalism and wish to pursue a career in journalism?

My friend in love with me, our mutual friends have all come up to tell me. I don't know him very well and I don't feel the same way. He is a lovely guy, very funny but I am just not attracted to him at all. He asked me out for pizza when we were drunk one night but I turned him down. I would like to be good friends with him but would I be leading him on if I started hanging out with him? If I did go for a pizza with him, is it a date? What do you think?

I like this guy in my class at university. I don't know him very well but we've chatted a few times. I bumped into him at a club on the dance floor and was chatting to him. All of a sudden his friend comes up to us and covers both our mouths (even if we weren't kiss or anything) and says "lets go find some good-looking girls" and drags him away. That really annoyed me. Opinions on what to do? His friend surely didn't like me..

Ok I remember reading these animal chapter books (fiction) when I was around 8-10 years old in the 90s. They were thin chapter books for kids about animals. Animals I can remember reading about were guinea pigs, rabbits, horses. I'm sure there are lots more, I really want to know the name of the series and the author. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? it's really frustrating!

I am taking a summer course in California in July and then I am going to Florida in August as an exchange student for a whole year.

I current have a J-1 visa for the first trip (July) but the american embassy says there is a law which states one cannot have two J-1 visas at the same time.

They said I have to apply for the second visa after my first course finishes in my home country but there isn't enough time between when the course ends and the next one begins..

So is there a solution to this? Can I get an extension or something?

Please help its urgent!

I'm from the UK and I will be spending a month in LA and a year in Gainsville, Florida. I believe the weather in both places is hot all year around. What is fashionable yet practical to wear around? I'm guessing coats, scarfs, woolly hats aren't necessary. How cold does it get?

I had my last period on May 16th and it started again yesterday on the 29th it started again? does anyone know why? Im 100% sure im not pregnant. I am 18 so could it be hormones?
