I once heard that the United States sells weapons to 138 countries. Is this still true in 2014?
Sow violence, reap anger and reprisal. How can US ever be called peacemakers?
2 AnswersGovernment7 years agoPrayer in school. Algebra and geometry are also useless.?
I think the Bible is a dumbed down version of morality. Instead, priests pastors and preachers need to go into schools to apologize for all the lies that have been told about atheists pagans and s.s.s.s.stutterers. No offense of course. How about some brilliant insights into why prayer in school would hurt or benefit our culture.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoCan 15 years of nagging destroy a persons confidence?
My wife argues like Rush Limbaugh. Skewed half truths and misrepresentations. A constant grinding down of the positive aspects of who I am. A simple man with simple pleasures in life. She seems to have 3 personalities. Detective questioning a criminal. Drill Sargeant trying to strip everyones dignity (not just me) and worst of all, she thinks we live in the Dr Phil House. Everyone must be constantly wringing their hands about some emotional issue or another. Now after 25 thousand questions I feel uncertain that I am who I thought I was and maybe I am the worst husband in the world. She argues circles around me and there is not much I can say. Is there any hope I can regain my simple nature and not be on the defensive all the time?
4 AnswersPsychology9 years agoAre Pastafarians pleased?
That the god particle looks like the Flying Spaghetti Monster. As it says in Rigatoni #23-verse 9. "Though others may pass through my strainer and into the void, thou whost believeth in me will stick to my teeth as oregano clings to a meatball."
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality9 years agoFederal Property Tax. 1% for all real estate valued over a million dollars?
It sure would bring in income. I mean I'm an independent not a liberal. I think Dept of Education should be scrapped. In 1793 a federal property tax was discussed but since the rich have always owned congress it was voted down. Wouldn't it work now?
1 AnswerGovernment10 years agoI'd like to marry a corporation in the Church.?
She's kind of a traditional corporation and wants a fancy wedding in a church. Our parish priest isn't sure if it's legal. He can't find any Papal Bull on it and said maybe Nit Romneys church would do it since Romney believes corporations are people.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoDo children have constitutional rights?
There are home schooled children with fundamentalist parents who only let them read the bible. Do American children have the right to read what they want? Australian Canadian?
If a parent chains their child to a bed and declares they are possessed with demons, does their right to parent a child trump human rights? Not chained down, I mean like a 5 foot chain. I have had conversations with fundamentalists over the years and some have a very thin tether to sanity, no offense
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWas Samuel Adams a devout christian?
He was groomed for the clergy, but I thought he rejected this life. I read of his exploits and nowhere do I read about him quoting the bible. At the Green Dragon Tavern he DID make everyone swear on the bible that they were Patriots and not Tories, but he was taking advantage of peoples superstitous nature. Logical atheists please, no bible quotes
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs the out of Africa theory bunk?
All migrations of people, and sources of language suggest the area between the Red Sea and the Black Sea is where humans emerged from.
I'm looking for alternate theories of human origins and ideas on intelligent design.
Consider how many dog breeds evolved in 10,000 years and how easy it would be for a god or goddess or aliens or a consortium of spiritual entities to evolve the "hairless ape"

Inconclusive autopsy report. Everyone around her was saying God needed her in heaven. She was 30 with 3 children. god has so little patience that he can't wait another 30 years to harvest her soul? This isn't normal is it, to believe all this superstitious bugaboo. .

1 AnswerHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoThe bent pyramid and the Red Pyramid?
The bent pyramid was changed halfway during its construction. Then a pyramid with the second largest base was built nearby called the rED pYRAMID.
mY question is this; radical archaeologists say there is an ancient weathered building inside the Red Pyramid. Does anyone know if this could possibly be true. I think there could be secret documents inside. Or secret hieroglyphics as it were.

Don't you think alot of people pay lip service to Islam and Christianity, pretending they love god when really they could care less. Doesn't this seem less than honest

How is it my Polish son in law with a civil engineering degree can't live in this country without a sponsor but there are 100 Mexicans in the gated community I work for competing with me. I don't think they all have sponsors, I love Mexican people but can someone explain how this works.
3 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoVegetarians. I made a case for being a vegetarian and someone tells me I'm demented from the lack of B 12?
Vitamin production pollutes the world?
meat doesn't destroy ecosystems
we'd have larger stomachs for vegetation if we were meant to eat plants
Here's a quote "... Lets say for argument sake that you ARE taking vitamin supplements to keep up with the vitamins you are lacking. The pollution from those plants that manufacture the vitamins is affecting the entire world." and another "farmers will breed the same amount of chickens, pigs, cows they always have, the only difference is that the food will go to waste and/or spoil rather than someone eating."
How can you argue with logic like that?
