Removing grass from gravel landscaping?
I have grass growing where it shouldn't, in the gravel that borders my yard and the fence. I've sprayed it with grass and weed killer several times and tried to pick the dead grass out, but it just grows back even thicker every time. As a last resort I'm thinking of torching it and then raking the rocks over the ashes and soot. I have less than a month to get this done before I have to move out of the place and I'd hate to lose part of my deposit for the removal.
Any suggestions or comments about my idea. Anything helps, thanks.
5 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoMy dogs vomit often, is this normal?
I have two pomeranians, a one year-old and a 10 year-old, and each one throws-up at least once a month, sometimes more. I regulate their food intake to the correct daily serving sizes and very rarely feed them human food (if I do it's usually just chicken and there seems to be no correlation to them getting sick from this).
I thought maybe they were eating some of the plant life in my back yard and that was causing the problem, the one year-old chews up sticks and whatever else he can get a hold of. However, the 10 year old never chews on anything and she still vomits as often as the young one.
Is this fairly normal? I'm obviously concerned for their health but I'm also getting sick of the disgusting clean-up and the unsightly stains.
Thanks
12 AnswersDogs1 decade agoAikido, Public Apology?
This isn't a question but rather an apology to anyone I offended because of one of my recent answers.
The question was, "Is Aikido the best martial art?" I went on a long sarcastic, condiscending rant about why Aikido is not the best martial art. My answer was chosen by the asker as best, and his comment below said, "thanks I do Aikido." After seeing that I felt like a real jerk. Then I started thinking, a lot of people who practice Aikido probably saw this and were offended by my @sshole comments.
So for the record, I don't think Aikido is a terrible art. Maybe a bit limited in combat but most practitioners know this already. I'm normally a sarcastic person because that's my sense of humor, but I need to remember that it sounds just plain mean on the internet. So, next time I feel like being critical I'll try to do it in a more tactful and objective way.
Peace,
Rosie
