Occasionaly, when I turn the key to start the engine, the starter will engage but doesnt turn over, sounding like a weak battery. It will do the same thing several times before catching and starting right up. The strong start tells me its not the battery. Could it be my starter going bad? Please include some credentials with your answer. thanks.

I have a '95 Suzuki Intruder 800. Its acting like a car would act if the alternator went out. I'm told that my bike doesnt have an alternator but rather 5 different parts that work together to perform like an alternator. How do I test to see which componenet it is?

A lady friend and I have had mutual attraction over about a 4 year period but i was married. Got separated about a year ago and decided to try dating the old friend. We discussed it and decided we'd give it 1 shot. It didn't work out due to many issues on both sides but remained friends. It only lasted about 3 months tops. I started seeing someone else a couple of months later and the friendship kept going. For the friends birthday in Oct. she asked me if I would give her sex. I said absolutely NO. She knew I was seeing someone else and that opportunity had passed us. When my birthday came up in Feb. she insinuated that she was going to give me sex for my birthday. I told her that all I wanted was for her to have a drink with me that evening, she agreed. When the day came I went to play pool and have a beer with my cousin and I text ed her to let her know where we were to join us. She gave some pathetic excuse for not coming and I left her alone. She later told me that she didn't want to have a drink with me because she was afraid we would do something we would regret. I felt like she was afraid of me taking advantage of her which made me mad. I lost my cool.

Should I try and save this friendship? Shes great to talk to but I cant take these stupid games.

I pointed out that I was ok with the arrangement and wasn't asking for any more from her. She said that she didn't think it was fair to me to only get 1 or 2 days a week to see her. Is she trying to hide her true feelings from me, or maybe something else? It all seems a bit strange to me. Is she scared of getting involved while I'm still married? Why cant she just tell me the truth?

I'm a small contractor. I recently spent almost 40 hours on a kitchen remodel that went bad. My fault completely, I was not as careful as I should've been and damaged 2 cabinets. Customer hired a new contractor and demanded that I compensate him for the 2 cabinets. I have no problem with that. Heres my question.

If you were him would you be willing to give me credit for the part of the job that I did right? I did the demo of the old cabinets, ran a new light switch, and relocated an AC vent. These things add up to about 1 day of the 5 days I spent there, which only covers about half the cost of the cabinets I owe him for. So I would still owe him some money.

Does this sound acceptable to you or should I pay the full amount and eat all my time and material?
