  • Tripl insurance (Allianz) vs Airline coverage (JetBlue)?

Will be going on a trip with my family to New York next week and I was wondering if trip insurance was worth it ($160 extra). There are no medical emergencies to cause us to cancel the flight, we are going. The thing I’m confused of is flight delays based on weather or other airline reasons/lost or delayed baggage. Wouldn’t the airline (JetBlue) be responsible and accommodatie for a future flight at no extra charge. Also If there is a delay causing us to do a late check, or possibly miss a night in our AirBnB will JetBlue accommodate us for that? Would the trip insurance (Allianz) accommodate us?

Would trip insurance be worth the extra money or will JetBlue’s policy be enough?

  • Deciding between two fixed gear bikes?

Deciding to get either: Cinelli Tipo Pista or Bianchi Sei Giorni.

Anyone have one of these bikes? Which would you reccommend over the other, both are the same price. I would mainly use it to commute and for urban riding. Plan on using it daily, especially during Winter months.

  • Beard growing, need advice?

    Hello,

I’m 22 and I have a mustache and goatee. I’m finally starting to a couple of little thin hair grow on side of cheeks and jaw.

If I want to grow a beard do let it keep growing even if one side has more than the other or should I shave so it possibly starts to grow even? It may sound like a silly question but never had a beard before as you can tell. Any other advice is helpful as well.

  • Jawbone feels weird after wisdom teeth extraction?

Got all wisdom teeth removed, my bottom left was impacted. I had surgery on that to get it extracted.

That side has a decent size hole, and my back jawbone feels stiff. I pass my finger and the jaw is very noticible and when I pass my finger by my right jawbone I can barely feel my jaw. It’s not as defined as my left, is this a concern?

  • Wisdom Teeth extraction sutures?

I got my sutures removed today, my dentist just said to keep rinsing with salt water to avoid food getting stuck in holes.

Is it normal to feel either a bit of soreness or pain after getting sutures removed? Since the sutures are giving your gum/cheek that extra support?

  • Yellow coating on tongue after wisdom teeth surgery?

5 days ago I got all my wisdom teeth out. The bottom left was impcted and required sutures. I’ve been brushing my teeth, rinsin with water and salt, I also have a tongue scraper but the color on my tongue stays yellow. I have been taking ibuprofen and clindamycin, antibiotic.

Does anyone know what this is and is it normal?

  • Antibiotics syntoms?

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed 5 days ago, one fully impcted one partial impacted. I got antibiotics, clindamycin 300mg.

This is the third day taking antibiotics cause I wasn’t able to swallow pills the first two days after surgery and I’ve noticed that my throat get like sore, it’s hard to swallow. I think it swells, since when I swallow saliva I have to try a little harder than usual.

I’ve been taking ibuprofen and didn’t have that sensation until I started taking antibiotics. I don’t have an infection, the antibiotics were just to prevent one. Should I stop taking them or just continue and deal with that throat sensation for a while longer?

  • Wisdom teeth extraction, blood clot dislodged help?

8 got 4 wisdom teeth removed Friday (2days ago) and today I can feel air on my bottom left jaw, that tooth was horizontally impacted and I got sirtures on that side.

It doesn’t hurt but I am worried about getting a dry socket. I can feel air when I breathe through my mouth and I saw and it looks like there is no more blood clot there.

What can I do to prevent a dry socket? I’m scared of the dry socket pain :/

  • How to eat after 4 wisdom teeth extraction?

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed Friday (2 days ago). So far, the first day I only drank water and Gatorade and melted ice cream. I got hungry so as of now the second day I’ve drank water, protein shakes, and melted ice cream.

I want to eat mash potatoes but I’m scared that I will dislodge the blood clots and get dry sockets. I also haven’t chewed since before the surgery.

If this helps I got surtures on both bottom wisdom teeth, since they were impacted. Swelling went down on right side and left side is still pretty swollen.

  • Honeymoon destination for my sister and brother-in-law?

I want to surprise my sister and brother in law with a vacation for their honeymoon. Where do you guys think would be the best place from these 4 choices:

London, Paris, and Amsterdam (8 days)

    Bali and Lombok (11 days)

    Japan (8 or 9 days)

    Greece (9 days)

I know it's also personal preference based on what they like but I have no idea on how to ask them indirectly without giving the surprise away. I don't want to be like, "If you could hypothetically go anywhere..." That's way too obvious, you know.

  • Want to do different activities but can't decide which one to choose?

    Hello peeps,

I'm in a pickle here. I want to do 4 things but don't know which one to choose/prioritize.

I want to try out for the college baseball team so that means practice as much as I can, but there's not batting cages around and I have no one to catch with/long toss so that's very challenging.

I want to practice MMA, I went to a gym near me and loved it. I just have to find a schedule that fits my school and job. But it's kind of expensive as well, not too much.

I want to learn how to dance, so I could take dance classes. I am shy though and have little self esteem/confidence when it comes to dancing. There's also the money issue.

I want to learn to play guitar, I already have a guitar and amp. I was thinking of just learning myself with videos which will take a while but I save money and could do that on my own time so I could still do one of the other activities.

I just don't know which activity to choose from?

  • How to make a plant presser?

I'm taking a college class, Dendrology, that requires us to press 50 plants. I need to make a plant presser since I saw you could buy ones online already made but there are super expensive.

I know where I can get newspaper and rope to tie it for free.

Where can I find the wood and cardboard for a cheap price?

    Thank you.
