i have a precious baby girl, stevie. she was born 6*10*07 at 25.6 weeks gestation. she was in the nicu for 96 days. some may consider my answers to be rude or incorrect. but i was around neonatal nurses constantly for 3 months, and asked plenty of ?'s. i consider myself to be pretty well educated when it comes to newborns. i am pro-life. i am tired of breast feeding mothers accusing formula feeding mothers of being lazy. i love to answer ?'s and give advice in the pregnancy section. i am a stay at home mother. and i work from home part time. if you would like any information of making some extra money online, send me an e-mail.

  • Fair price for used clothes?

We're having a yard sale this weekend, all of our proceeds are being donated to the March of Dimes. We will be selling a lot of girl baby clothes sizes newborn to 12 month. All of it is in great condition with no stains, some of the brands are Old Navy, Gap, Carters, and Gerber. What would be a fair price to sell these items? This is what I was thinking

    Onesies .50 ea

    Cotton Sleepers .75 ea

    Fleece Sleeper $1.00 ea

    Full outfits $1.50 ea

Full name brand outfits $2.50 ea

Jackets & Hooded sweatshirts $2.00 ea

    Shoes $3.00 a pair

Name brand shoes $5.00 a pair

Does this sound good? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!

  • March of Dimes - March for Babies?

I am not asking for any of you to donate. I am just asking that you please copy and paste the below message and send it to EVERYONE you know. However, if any of you would like to sponsor us, we would greatly appreciate it. My daughter was born at 26 weeks, and is now a normal, healthy, happy, and active 22 month old. Not everyone has been as lucky as we are.

Please, do not respond to this with any negative answers. I know plenty of you disagree with the March of Dimes research programs. I am the mother of a former micro-preemie, I have had first hand experience.

Please, copy and paste the following message and e-mail it to your friends, family, and co-workers! Thanks!

Subject - Can you spare just 10/10/10?

  • Toys for outside play?

My daughter is turning 2 in June and she has boo-coos of toys she hardly ever plays with. She'd rather play with remotes, cell phones, flashlights, diapers, wipe box, etc. She loves to be outside, but I don't want her to take her toys outdoors and ruin them. We recently bought her a swing-set and she also has a tricycle. What other toys could we buy her for outside play? We're open for buying her one expensive outside toy or a lot of smaller inexpensive outside toys. We have a very large yard for her to play in.

  • Child support and parental rights?

My fiance is trying to file to modify his child support and parental rights. We live in Virginia, and his children live in Vermont. We cannot locate his children, we have no telephone number or address. How can he file if he has no information for their mother? Can he just file the defendant as Office of Child Support and then list the mothers name? Can he file using her last known address? No one can give him the address, we're not really sure what to do now.

  • Why does Social Services need my landlords phone #?

I recently applied for food stamps and was told I needed a rental agreement or receipt. I had my landlord write me out a statement and I brought it with me to my appointment. Now, they say they also need her telephone number. I am really sickened by the whole process. Every time I have gone to the state for assistance I get the run around and the whole process gets delayed. Why do the even need my landlords phone number?

  • What is the Diamond Carat Weight?

I recently purchased this ring from a different jewelry dealer. I was told is was .75CT. I found this website, it is the exact ring I have, GND is engraved on the bands. This page has me a little puzzled, though. Is it .50CT or is it .15CT? I am very upset that it is not what I was told it is. I paid way more than the $199.75 listed price. But before I contact the dealer, I want to know what it actually is. Thanks

  • Great Value Sugar - calories?

Hah, I feel like a big dummy asking this on here. Any who, I am suppose to be counting calories. Yay, me! So, I really need to know how many calories are in 3/4 cup of the Wal-Mart brand sugar. I threw the bag out weeks ago, and I can't find the sugar on the Wal-Mart website...or any other sugar other than baking sugar. I know someone out there has to have a bag of Great Value sugar in the cupboards! Thanks Bunches!

  • Bank gave money to someone not on account?

My friend just called me all panicked about his bank account being overdrawn. He had $7,500 in his account last Wednesday. When he went to the bank today, they told him he was $10 overdrawn. Which means someone withdrew $7,510 from his account. Apparently, the bank is aware that is was their mistake. They have told them there is absolutely nothing he can do about this and there is no way for him to get his money back! Is this true? Shouldn't there be something they can do? What can he do?

  • 20 month old throwing fits?

I am not sure what is going on here. My little girl, Stevie, has been throwing a fit since she woke up at 8 am. She has been crying, screaming, and rolling around in the floor. When I pick her up to comfort her she rolls around, pushing on me like she doesn't want to be bothered. I had a really hard time getting her to eat breakfast and she just started sipping on her juice. She doesn't want me to play with her or hold her. Is this normal? Is she already into the terrible twos? Or could something be wrong? At the moment she is standing beside me laughing at her cup of juice. As soon as I say something to her or touch her, she gets really temperamental. Should I be concerned? She was born 3 months early, so developmentally she is a little behind and acts more like a 17 month old.

  • Unemployment Insurance and Emotion Distress?

I quit my job yesterday and am filing for unemployment insurance. I had good cause for quiting, my manager was really stressing me out and I felt like I was going to have a panic attack, or maybe an anxiety attack, every time I had to work with her. She used to be married to my uncle, so she knows a lot about my personal life and was sharing it with my customers. She was constantly putting my family down, and also my co-workers and their families. I worked for her for a year, and about two weeks ago it really started to bother me. I would break down into tears at work just thinking about working with her the following day. So, basically, I am filing for unemployment in Virginia. I'm not sure how I should answer a few of the questions.

-Explain in detail what caused you to quit.

-What hardships or difficulties (financial, mental, physical, personal, professional, or moral) would you have experienced by staying on the job?

-Did you quit for medical or health reasons?

I quit because I felt my health was more important than that job. But can Emotional Distress be used as a medical/health reason for quiting? And would Emotional Distress be a mental or personal hardship? I think I'm going in the right direction with this, but I feel like I need a tiny bit of guidance. Thanks in advance for your answers!

  • What Would Impress You?

I am going to apply to the Radiology Technology program at my college. After applying you are interviewed. It is a very hard program to get into, and a lot of people apply. My acedemic advisor suggested that I volunteer at my local hospital and really do some research on radiology. I am going to "intern" at my mother's office, she's a radiology technologist, and actually get to see what she does and have the oppurtunity to interact with the patients. I am also going to read up on the subject so I have some general knowledge of radiology. What else could I do to "wow" the interviewers and show them that this is something I really want? I want to feel good going into the interview, but when I come out I want to know that I am going to be accepted into the program. So, if you were the interviewer, what would impress you?

  • FAFSA and a Federal Stafford Loan?

I am hoping to attend college soon, in order to qualify for financial aid I have to be a full time student. I am a mother of a one year old, and I work a full time job. The only way I can possibly be a full time student AND mother is to quit work. My boyfriend works, but does not make enough money to pay the bills on his own. Is it possible to get financial aid through FAFSA and get a Federal Stafford Loan?

  • frustrated with baby formula?

my daughter was born 3 months early and while she was in the NICU she had NEC, which is an infection in the intestines. Shortly after becoming ill, she could no longer digest breastmilk and was put on a partially digested formula, Neocate. Recently her doctor changed her from Neocate to Similc Alimentum, after trying Similac Advance twice and not having a good reaction. So, she just turned one 6-10 and her GI wants to get her off of formula. They believe she is allergic to milk, but not lactose intolerant, so they had us try Vital Jr(bad reaction), so we tried Soy Milk. Which she tolerated well for a few days. Then she started pooping 4-5 times a day, the consistensy kept getting runnier, then a foul smell, and she got a really bad rash on her bottom. So, we stopped the Soy because we were told that could be a sign of an allergic reaction. We're waiting to hear from her nuitrionist, and for the moment have put our daughter back on Alimentum.

  • preemie turning one!?

My daughter was born 3 months premature weighing 1 lb 13 oz, she now weighs 19 lbs and will be one on June 10. Since she was born 3 months early, though, she will technically only be 9 months old. She is the same size as 25% of 11 months old, but obviously only acts like an 8 month old. My question is, if she weighs 20 lbs when she turns one, should I put her in a foward facing car seat. One of her physicians has told me yes, should I consult her other doctors? This one really has me puzzled. How can she be foward facing at a year old when she is really only 9 months old, I thought rear facing was because a babies muscles couldn't withstand the force from a crash if they were foward facing? Please Help!!! Thanks!

  • baby foot tattoo?

i want to get a tattoo of my daughter's foot print, but she was born 14 weeks early so her foot print was only like 1.5" long. i want her name, dob, and weight to be part of the tattoo. beause her foot print is so little, what would be the best way to do it so the lettering wouldn't have to be so small? i thought if it were beside the foot print it would have to be small so it didn't take the attention away from the foot print, but then it would be to small to really read. and i was thinking about getting it on the outside of my leg, right above my ankle. is that a good spot for this? and it won't be the same text, but it will be some sort of script. and the foot print will be black!thanks guys!

this foot is actually a little bigger than hers, but this was my first idea http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg37/scm_mommy/...
