  • Inhaled bleach cleaner?

I was cleaning by bathroom floors and noticed that suddenly the cleaner I was using had a reaction of some sort and turned bright yellow. It also gave off a horrendous bleach-chemical type smell, even though the cleaner I was using doesnt have much of a bleach scent.

I have pets in the house so had to stay in the bathroom a few extra minutes to rinse out the horrific smell before my whole house was consumed in it.

Afterwards I felt fine, but a day later I'm feeling like I've caught a cold. My throat is scratchy, it feels like there is phlegm in my throat and lungs.

It's been 2 days now and I keep getting the feeling like I'm still breathing in the chemicals. I have asthma and even though I surprisingly haven't had an attack I am experiencing a harder time breathing. The only way I could explain the feel in my throat other than scratchy is as if I swallowed a mouth full of vinegar powder and its sticking to my throat even though my attempts to clear my throat do nothing. Now the morning of day three I've developed a cough of what feels to phlegm in my lungs, but I can't get anything up past my throat (it does feel slightly swollen)

I didn't mix chemicals, I've used this cleaner for a few months with no problem. Am I overreacting and just catching a cold, or are these issues attributed to that strange yellow chemical I breathed in? :/

  • God is trinity because he's lonely?

Please read first! I'm not denying the trinity, I'm denying the idea that there is a trinity because god was lonely.

Ok so my comparative religions teacher knows literally nothing about religion. I live in a predominately Buddhist country, so kids don't really know if he's teaching something accurate or not.

He's teaching Christianity right now and brought up the holy trinity. Now I'm Buddhist, but isn't a simple explanation of the trinity is that Jesus is the human representation of god and the Holy Ghost is a spiritual respresentation of god?

But my teacher said "god was lonely and created the holy trinity to have someone to talk to" and he's backing himself up with this article: http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2012%E2%80%A6

"To taste the difference the triune nature of God makes, let's step back for a moment and imagine something. What if God was not Father, Son, and Spirit? What if God was really just a single person? Well then, for eternity before Creation he must have been all by himself: no relationship, and nobody and nothing else for him to love. For eternity. This God simply could not have love at the very core of his identity. So would he be the sort of God inclined to be gracious toward us? Most unlikely. And, not having ever known fellowship himself, would he want to have fellowship with us? Would he even know what fellowship means? By definition, a single-person God is not inherently about love and relationship; its "gospel" must be a very poor thing next to the gospel of the God who is love."

Now the article goes on more about how if god weren't a trinity, he wouldn't be loving or care about us. Now isnt the bible full of god smiting mankind, destroying towns and bringing plagues etc?

So if you were to go by the actions of god, he'd be considered a singular god, not of the holy trinity.

Am I the wrong to think this concept of a lonely god incapable of loving without a "buddy" a little simpleminded considering we're talking about an almighty creator, not a human. Isn't it wrong to make these assumptions?

    Thoughts, please :)

  • Christians, do you follow Christ?

Now im just a buddhist who greatly respects and tries to live by some of Chists' words. I can't speak against all Christians, but I noticed a large amount, particularly in America seem to go against Christ. What is your stance?

Just a few of his words:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven:

•You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth."

But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.

Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.

•You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy."

But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?

Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

•When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.

But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

    • Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

Namaste friends, thank you for answering and staying respectful towards others.

  • Spiritual tingles in my?

    Brain. Ha.

No seriously, there is an experience called ASMR which is this intense, euphoric vibration or tingles that start from your head.

I'm not here to argue with you that it is real, only on if you've experienced it and what you have to say on it. Most people who get this, it is triggered from watching someone focus on a task, read something out loud, talk in a foreign accent, even listening to a sermon.

it's unmistakable, and nothing comparable to goosebumps, as those who don't experience think it is. Since I follow a more eastern thought, I wonder if perhaps this is almost like a 6th sense. In a way that I am having this intense connection from another person, possibly experiencing their energy field and that awesome loving connection to all based on that we are all one spiritual being.

I know, I just get weirder as I go. But I would just like to hear your take on this if you experience it. Do you think it's spiritual or religious?

If you don't experience it, please try to have an open mind and open heart.

  • What created the universe?

There are many religious texts that say the universe was created out of word, for example the bible and in Hinduism it states that there was nothing and then there was the word. Could be just sharing of information from one religion to another, but it's a pretty interesting concept for many other religions to share.

Here's the kicker, when you take matter and break it down to atoms and electrons, what do you have left in its simplest form? Vibration. A tiny strand of noise emitting a vibratory field which creates the structure for matter to form.

Basically without vibration or noise, there is no matter which means no universe. If you need vibration to create literally anything, where did this vibration come from?

Obviously no one has the answer, and I'm neither for or against any arguments put forth, just like to hear your thoughts and whether you follow a religion that also states creation came from word or noise. Much respect.

  • Recurring Kidnapping Dream; Reality?

As of late I have been having this recurring dream of being kidnapped. The first dream I was kidnapped, escaped my captors, returned back with the police and found them all dead.

Since then, at least 3-4 times a night I have the same dream that I was kidnapped, but when younger. In these dreams, everyone around me knows about it, and for some reason they are trying to hide it from me. There is one person who is a teacher, someone I see as very enlightened and knowledgeable, who is slowly trying to make me remember the kidnapping.

These dreams are very startling because they appear to take place in the present, with the kidnapping happening in the past.

The reason they are putting me off is not only do they feel real, but my actual childhood is only a blur with a handful of small memories. So these dream has me waking with the thought that there was some detrimental event in my childhood, and there is a wise figure (possibly myself) trying to help me uncover the truth.

    Any thoughts on this?
