so my wife bought a laptop a few years ago, 4 gb's of ram, dual core cpu. i told her about windows 10 being given away for free to all windows 7 and 8 users so she asked if there's a point in upgrading the laptop. it's been kind of slow lately and i think the cpu is of the same generation as the i5 2500k just not a quadcore.

we're going to sweden in june and plan on staying a week. my wife and i both love music ( rock and metal) and we're both avid gamers in our free time. keep in mind we have two young kids and wife is 2 months pregnant. we'll be in stockholm so a good restaurant suggestion is a plus.

my wife and i were debating about this and she thinks it's better to become friends with your room mates than be room mates with your friends. in her experience being room mates with a couple of her friends destroyed those friendships. i only had my younger brother as a room mate and we get along fine since we grew up together and were always close. whats your opinion?

for something silly now but at the time it wasn't silly to you. i wanted to go to a party when i was 17 but couldn't so i planned on sending my mom away to an old folks home and never see her and also to never let her see my future (at the time) kids. ironically, that second plan did end up happening but for different reasons.

my wife and i haven't spanked our kids because we haven't had to but it seems like parents these days are too concerned with trying to be their kids friend. i was listening to one of my sons friends mom talk about her kids acting out and she grounded him but still let him play video games and watch netflix, wtf? she only grounded him from the computer. if you're gonna ground a kid you need to take away everything but their books. atleast they can read and learn that way. thats what my mom did with me, she'd take everything fun away until i was ungrounded.

What would be an extreme example of this?
