vampires being soul-less blood sucking demons of the night who kill without remorse, have to be invited into houses, burn in the sunlight, burned by holy water, warded off by crosses, and killed by wooden stakes.

werewolves being humans who turn into blood thirsty creatures on the full moon but still have souls so you'd be forced to live with the fact you killed people (or lock yourself up) and you'd be killed by silver

so we're talking fairly traditional (i believe) vampires and werewolves

whenever i'm stressed, i dream about getting on an elevator, and the cables break and i go falling and falling and falling

He is going to use his virus to turn people into ravenous shadows of their former selves, shadows with an insatiable urge to bite, to kill, to multiply. Charlie Scott plans for his virus to pass relatively unnoticed from person to person; to pass both like rabies and like AIDS. The Scott Virus, as it will one day be known, is a highly dangerous idea, luckily Charlie Scott has yet to perfect it.
