I am in my thirties. I have a background in art/design and social sciences. I studied both in school, and currently work in mental health treatment. In my spare time I enjoy messing with electronics, traveling, bookstores, fancy food, and I am a regular runner.

  • Why my wireless quits after installing new RAM in Netbook?

I decided to upgrade my gateway netbook's RAM from 1 to 2GB. After installing it, I found the NIC or wireless adapter will not work. I have tried cmd renew, and did a suggestion from windows support. Neither worked. So this morning, I took the 2 out and put the 1GB back in, and voila! The wireless works again.

Does anyone know what I might do, or this could be?

  • Feeding an annoying house cat?

What is the best way to feed a cat? portion size? dry vs. wet food? Is it best to put food out while they are watching, or when they are not looking? Where is the best location to put the food dish so that it is not always pestering me? It does not help that I am not always the one who is feeding her.

Any advice on this subject is welcome, because I have lots of questions about it. Thanks!

  • Has any of your food smelled like manure?

Ok, weird question, for some maybe, but this is for the more serious food expert. I have, over the past 1.5 years, had several instances where meat, specifically ground beef, has tasted and smelled like manure. Now its not rotten, browned, old, from walmart, or prepared with any unusual spices, rancid oils, or improper storage, etc... Ive ruled those out. The first time i encountered this, in april 2011, was with a single packaged pork chop from a local grocer. Then did not encounter again until earlier this year with ground beef several times from several different grocery stores in the region. It can be so unavoidable that i cant even spice it out, cover it with enough sauce, or prepare it so i cannot taste the barnyard. To make matters worse, for my sake, i order some chicken fingers, fries, and jalapeno poppers from local carryout today and the darn fries tasted every bit like cow poop, hay and hooves! Now what the heck is going on? Ive read a few other complaints similar to this dating back to 2009. They have been mostly all about beef, but there are a couple vegetable and fruit complaints similar to this. I also read of an increase in use manure as filer for cattle feed. Nothing conclusively linking the two though. Any thoughts that are not stupid/inappropriate are appreciated, ive already been teased and toyed with enough about this! Thanks

  • Why does yahoo Answers has time restraints?

I have come across questions that I know the answer too, and have been unable to answer them. Sometimes there is no answer chosen, other times, no best answer, and sometimes a wrong or diluted answer has been chosen. I believe this is allowing for faulty information to be perpetrated across the internet. Shame on you Yahoo answers! Let the people speak!

Create a "better, best, new best" answer option. Things change and updates will be needed.

So... why, why, why, do you keep it this way?
