How do some answer leaders accumulate so many points in such a short period of time.?
About a year ago, I got to wondering about that. I looked up how many months a supposed "point leader" had been a member, then I converted that to the number of days. Then I divided his total number of answers by that number of days. It worked out that he would have had to answer about 150 questions a day, 7 days a week, month after month. Based on the time it takes me to answer a bunch of questions with both long and short answers, that is virtually impossible; it wouldn't even leave any time for eating or sleeping. Also, the number of "best answers" (percentage) he had was simply incredible. (As in "not credible." )
I concluded that, for a person to have done all that, he or she would have to ask a large number of friends to vote "best answer" for almost every answer he gave. That might be easy to do for someone like a popular student. Yes, I'm speaking of collusion, or rigging the vote.
Cheating is not unknown in our schools, and there are some people who will do almost anything in order to achieve some kind of "star" status, no matter what the activity is or the forum for it. I think that there may be some people who have friends ask questions for them, using his or her avatar's name to do so.
Any comments?
9 AnswersYahoo Answers10 years agoHow do I determine which pieces of identified spyware should be deleted.?
I just installed Yahoo anti-spyware and it identified 55 pieces of spyware. Also, a box popped up warning that some of those pieces of spyware should not be deleted. So, how do I know which ones should or should not be deleted-with nothing more to judge by than the name of each individual piece of spyware?

1 AnswerSecurity1 decade agoWhat's the most stupid tv ad you've ever seen?
It seems to me that there are so many incredibly stupid ads on tv these days that they just irritate me. Some are so bad that when they come on, I automatically reach for the remote and switch to another channel. Sometimes I stay on the new channel only until another truly stupid ads come on, then I switch again. Does anybody else do this, or am I just out of sync with the times?
5 AnswersDrama1 decade agoDoes anybody have an installation disk for Microsoft Office 2000 for Small Businesses?
I just bought Works 9 and tried to install it. Every Microsoft file that I have, about 100 of them, will not come up. The error messages for each file says that I must put in the disk of that name, which I don't have. (Office 2000 won't work, it's not the same.)
A while back, someone gave me a Microsoft Suite disk with 6 programs on it. I didn't know it was copy-protected. When I tried to install it, the very first thing is did was erase the old Office programs, this one and Office 2006. Then it told me that it was copy-protected. I backed out of it, but it was too late. (All the error messages back then said that I had to have a Works 2006, now it's changed to Works 2000 for Small Businesses.) After that, I bought the Work 9, thinking it would clear things up. It didn't, it only made them worse.
If anyone has the disk, I would be willing to pay a fair price for it, or rent it and send it back. Contact me by my email address.
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoI keep getting this pesky error message box. How do I get rid of it for good.?
I only get it on Yahoo, not on other websites. Sometimes I can get rid of it by x-ing it out 3,4, or 5 times, but sometimes it just stays there.
At the end of the message it says "If you want to display this message, do so and so." That's brilliant. I could swear that I'm looking at it as I read it.
1 AnswerSecurity1 decade agoWhy isn't a question immediately removed from the list when it has been deleted?
I've run into this situation many times. I just spent a half hour thinking about and answering a certain question. When I finished, I clicked on "Preview" and THEN the deletion notice popped up. That is so frustrating.
1 AnswerYahoo Answers1 decade agoWho does the most voting-yes or no-for best answers? The males or the females?
Judging by the relative number of answers I've given to both sexes, it seems to me that the females do the most voting by a factor of at least three to one. What's wrong with the males-mostly boys-that so many of them can't be bothered to vote.even if they do get a really good answer.
