I will hopefully be moving to Canada by August of this year. I have lived in different countries in the tropics all my life (close to the equator) where "winter" is 25C. How can I adjust to Canadian winter?

I think it's a great experience to live in a different continent and climate but what do people in cold countries do? What kind of clothing do college students wear in the winter?

I used to use Nike but after two nike backpacks I give up on Nike. My most recent Nike backpack was especially disappointing with poor build quality that caused the zipper and the area below the zipper to break after few months of daily normal use.

I have brought Targus incognito and I hope it's durable. Is your targus durable? I prefer durability and comfort over looks (I admit Nike backpacks look good.)

If you were to pick the one (no more, no less) best study tip what would it be? I know a combination of strategies is best but please stick to one.

I dropped my toothbrush and immediately cleaned it with antibacterial soap without thinking of the consequences. Should I get a new toothbrush? I rinsed really well to make sure no soap remained but will I still be able to brush with that toothbrush? I am thinking that the soap might make the brush toxic.

I know a few people that get extremely good grades but they are also always very relaxed. Can anyone guess why they are so relaxed? I think one reason could be that they don't procrastinate at all and that they have a very long attention span. What do you think could be the reasons?

I have started running every other weekday. I am kind of unfit with a mile time of 7:24. However I wanted to join a sport so I could CAS hours for IB and make my transcript look better. So I decided to run since it's about the only sport I like and it does not require a lot of skills like tennis. It just needs a lot of practice. Anyways I have started doing interval training of 6 sets of 800 meters. I have also decided to run for half an hour half one week to build endurance and do interval traning the other next week to build speed. Are there any other things i could do to make sure I get into JV varsity or even varsity cross coutnry as an eleventh grader next year? Also if it helps any my weight is 49.6 kilos (109 pounds) and that is kind for an advantage for running.

I have been very sad lately and feel like I am losing control. I don't have many friends and my parents don't care about me. I might not be depressed but I am still very angry at my parents. I am also a bad student and come from a developing country. I feel like I have nothing to appreciate. My family drives a Toyota Corolla and my internet connection is only like 300 kb/s average. No one cares about me. I am short. I am lonely and see no reason to be optimistic. Please help as I can't take this stress anymore!

I am planning on being a software developer. I admit to get getting a GPA of 3.000 for both my semesters during ninth grade. However next year I plan to change things by studying from the first of school and actually learn stuff all year instead of right before tests. I also have horrible attention while studying and can get distracted easily. What can I do to fix my study habits and hopefully become a programmer in the future? Also how can I improve on math (since programmers need Math)? Btw I am not from the U.S and plan on hopefully studying in Canada, UK or Australia. (Only English speaking countries because my English is good).

How fragile are laptops and their chargers? What is the worst your laptop/charger has gone through and survived. If it survived was it a normal laptop or a rugged expensive laptop.

I want to work out at the gym but I have confidence issues. For one thing I don't want want people thinking "Is that the most you can lift?" or "Is that call you could run on the treadmill?". I am skinny and short and not very fit. I have no muscle and I have been at the gym before once and people seemed to occupied with themselves. But still I don't want people judging me if I pick up lighter weights or only do treadmill for ten minutes. I also don't want people to say I am too skinny to go to they gym and that I need muscles to be at the gym.

Why are people so cruel they kill innocent people including children? Wars are caused because of conflict but that is no reason to hate and kill civilians. Me and many others want peace yet many 'brave' armies kill unarmed civilians. For example in Israel the Israeli troops shoot down non violent protesters.

Humans don't even distribute these resources fairly (far from it). Some people live on way too much resources while others can't get even two meals. Why are we collecting and using so many resources only to waste much of it while others get none?

Does anyone know anything about capital punishment in ANCIENT China. I have tried but could not find much info or sources on execution in ancient China. I did find many things on modern China but not ancient so please tell me some ifo or give links.

A part of my English assignment is to find a song that matches with a specific quotation. The quote is about appreciating age or respecting elders.
