  • Instant hot water heater boxes??

So they now make those instant hot water heaters, that are just the little box that only heats water when it is needed and I'm not sure how else to explain them. They are just those little boxes that you have instead of a huge water heater and they are supposed to be very energy efficient. So my question is does your home have to be natural gas or propane to have one installed or can you have a 100% electricity house to have one installed? Also, are they that huge of an energy saver and are they pretty good or have they had many problems? If my question is confusing I am so sorry. My husband says to get one we would have to have natural gas or propane ran to the house and I want to know if that is true. Thanks for any and all help.

  • Training dogs to poo in one spot of yard?

Growing up my dogs would only poo in a corner of the yard instead of all over, and it made it very easy to clean up. Well my husband and I are moving from 10 acres to a bit under 1 acre, so we know that we are going to have to start picking up their landmines and want to know, is there a way to train them to go in one spot instead of all over like they are used to? Right now it's not a big issue cause they go towards the back of the property, not in the yard, but on 1 acre we will have to pick it up and want it to be as easy as possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Lender lying to me about rate they are offering, HELP????

K, so my husband and I are buying a new house and we are right now in the process, I mean we have sold our old home, and are getting all the things done that we need to, so that we can close on both houses on the same day. Well, we both have great scores and great income for what they are lending us and they have no problems lending us the $ for the new place. On Fri, I called the woman that we are working with on our lending and asked her if there was anyway that since our credit is so good, and we are getting a large loan and putting down over 20% if we could try to get the loan for the new rate of 5.5%, she told me she had no clue what I was talking about with the new rate, and said that they are not offering lower rates then what they can give us which is 6.125%. Well last night I went online to their web site and found out that they are offering 5.5% on the type of loan we are getting with more than 20% down, how do I deal with her Mon morning when I confront her?

  • How do I get an electrician out to my house ASAP?

My husband and I are selling our home and we have a buyer, the power pole with our power box on it is right outside the back door and for the buyer to get financed we have to have it moved like 10 feet. My husband works out of town and is unable to do it himself, and we have no problem hiring an electrician, but due to recent flooding in our area they are swamped. We do not want to lose this sale, does anyone have any advice for me to be able to get the electrician out here to get this done as soon as possible for me? Is there anything that I can tell them that would bump us to the top of their work schedule? Please help we need to get this done. Right now all the electricians are telling us it is going to be late Feb before they can get it done, well that is when we are supposed to be closing on the house, and moving into our new home.

  • Can I rent my house while it is on the market until it sells and how would I go about the rental contract?

My husband and I are buying a new house that is more suitable for our needs and our growing family. We want to put our current house on the market but would like to move into the new home before the new baby comes in June. Well were afraid that the current house won't sell before then due to the market and the town that the house is in right now isn't the most desireable due to flooding, but our home is on high ground and doesn't flood. We know that at this time we would not be able to afford 2 mortgages until this home is sold. So we would like to rent out the current home to cover the 1st mortgage and only have to worry about the mortgage on the new home. What do you think about this idea and also is there anything that I would need to specifically state in the contract with the renters if it was a month to month lease about the sale of this home? Also if this home is on the market and we need to hold open houses and the realtor needs to show the home would we need to include that?

  • Hard iron stains in toilets and shower how to remove the stains?

We have very hard iron in our water and we were not home for almost a year so we didn't put a filter on the house. While we were gone the water sat in our toilets and a tiny bit in our showers. Now the toilet has a huge orange ring and the shower has little orange dots all over them. We have tried bleach and kaboom and oxy clean and we still have the rings. We have since put a filter on the house so our water is no longer orange but now I need to know how to get the orange off of all of my toilet and showers since we are now selling the house? So the question would be, what do you suggest I try to get the stains off of my toilets? Any advice would be useful and am willing to try anything. Please help

  • Help need to paint match color of house??

My husband and I are putting our house on the market and we have not had it painted since we have lived here. We have only lived in it 6 years and the last owners had some holes in the siding (T 111) and tried to patch them up. They did a good job patching them but painted the holes white instead of the light green that the house is. How do I get a paint match for my house so that I can paint those awful white spots the right color? We don't have any spare paint in the shop I made my husband look last weekend, and we have no old boards that we would be able to take off and replace to match. Please help.
