  • Secret Santa Gift ideas.?

So, I signed up for a secret santa on a website, and I m having some issues on what to actually get them. I want something meaningful but useful.

Their hints are that they like yoga, healthy snacks (Dark chocolate), and social media. They re also getting married soon. I was thinking perhaps gathering a nice collection of baby animal gifs/vids as well as some chocolate/healthy candy. That s easy. But what else to buy?

Per the site rules I can only spend 15 dollars but I have some Amazon gift card moneys that wouldn t count so I can go a little over. Halp

  • Roommate legal?

My current living situation has become too volatile for me to stay in. I found an advertisement on Craigslist about seeking a roommate, contacted him.

Went out to see the place, I would for about 350/month get one bedroom, shared bathroom, shared living room (which is empty), shared basement which has washer and dryer, internet, and everything else included.

The only thing is I have to sign a year's lease. Meaning, I would be responsible for the rent payments should something happen to him I would be screwed. I mean, I could swing it but still. He said that he plans on staying for the year, but should he have to leave for any reason he would give notice and try to find another roommate.

Is there anything I should be on the lookout for? Is there a legal way/contract we can draft up to ensure that he pays his portion of rent and at least tries to find a new tenant should he have to leave?

This is my first apartment without parents so I'm a little lacking in knowledge.

  • Certificates to obtain?

I currently work in fast food service and am looking to expand my career and move on as soon as I receive my diploma. But I'm not looking for college right away. Maybe later, but not now. What are some good certificates and easily obtained licenses to get to do this?

-I will be getting my DL. (Driver's Lisence)

-Am going to go for a First aid/CPR/AED.

I /sometimes/ like working in customer service, but might like to get into something techy soon. So, what are some good ones?

And be easy I mean ones that won't cost thousands/years to get, but also not ones that you click an online button and you have it and it's worthless.

  • Kitten wound?

We recently adopted a roughly 6 month old kitten. I was petting her earlier today when I felt a matted piece of fur. I figured it was just dirt or something stuck on. So I gave her a bath, but a couple hours later I felt it again.

On closer inspection I found a purple band on her neck. It didn't appear to be going around, and when we cut it/removed it was only a small piece on the front of her neck.

But it was tight enough to wound her. She has a white cut roughly the size of the band on the front of her neck. We've had her for a couple weeks, and she wasn't choking or scratching at it at all. That we know of.

What should we do? I would like to take her to a vet, but I don't have ANY money until I get paid in five days. She doesn't appear to be in pain but that doesn't mean anything. Could it be wounding her without either knowing? Is there cause to worry?

    Should we do anything? Cream?

  • Laptop won't boot?

I went to use my HP probook laptop and it turned off much like the battery died, but when I went to plug in/turn back on the only thing that happened was a orange light flashed on the bottom a few times under a lightning bolt before stopping. I tried taking the battery out, letting it charge for a few minutes, using a different albeit dell charger, and threatening physical abuse. Even tried switching directly to the surge protector. No dice. Is there any way to fix this problem? Should I buy a new charger? Just scrap the entire laptop and get a new one?

  • Is this true?

Okay, so more than a few months ago my father was being an asshole again. He was fighting with his girlfriend and maybe even hit her, but I never seen this. The cops were called, and nothing happened, but he knew that it was me.

He was pissed of course, and I revealed that I hated him, etc, as soon as I could I would never see him again. He said,

¨I´m going to have you locked up for disrespect.¨ Juvie, now I just wrote it up as his general lying bullshit, and we went about ignoring each other again, now that I´m eighteen I´m gone, but I´m very curious.. Can something like that actually happen?
