  • Boat fuel economy question?

I am considering buying a used 96 18' boat that has the I/O 4.3 V6 engine. My father in-law's boat has the chevy 4cyl engine in his boat that it does great on gas. The 4.3 boat in question is an 96 model and has a four barrel carb on it. Will this boat get reasonable fuel economy or should I try and find a good 4cyl model? Thanks

  • Applying for Veterans aid and attendance benefits?

I want to apply for this benefit for my father who is a War time Veteran. The place where he is living now gave me a brochure for a company that helps you apply. I found out they charge a $1000 attorney fee. So here is my question, can I effective do this on my own and if so how? or is there a real benefit in using a service like this? Thank you very much.

  • Yamaha Raptor 660 backfiring and popping.?

I bought this atv used and it ran great when I bought it. I parked it for about 4 months and now when I try and start it,it pops and backfires. It wont idle. I put in a new spark plug and also took the carb float bowls off and removed and cleaned out all the jets. The carbs looked clean to begin with. What else could cause this? It ran great before we parked it. Thanks

  • VW bug engine hesitation.?

I have a sand rail with the old school VW bug air cooled engine. It has the single carb and is pretty much stock. When I let off the gas to shift gears and then give it the gas again, it almost dies. I thought it might be the accelerator pump, but I get a good healthy spray of gas there. What else could cause this? Thanks

  • Installing under cabinet lighting question.?

I bought an unfinished house and I need to install under cabinet lighting. The house builder allowed for this and there is romex wiring coming out under each cabinet and a wall switch in place to turn them on and off. 1. What would be the best type of lighting to use that could be hard wired? 2. I understand electrical very well, but what is the correct way to do the wire connections? Do I need to install a box for the connections? Thanks.

  • How do I stop a complaining tenant.?

I have a tenant that is constantly complaining. They have rented from me for a long time, but are terrible about paying the rent on time as well as all the complaining. They will not do any minor maintenance, they call for everything. I am really tired of this. I know I can evict them, but I would like to try and new strategy first. Any suggestions?

  • Escrow short sale legal question.?

I am currently in escrow on a short sale in WA. Escrow was suppose to close tomorrow. The bank is selling the house. My offer was for a cash sale and I was to get clear title with title insurance. My agent called me today and said the seller wants me to pay some legal fees in the amount of $5000 that is associated with one of the leans on the property. How can they legally change the terms for the sale? I told them no way. Do I have any recourse if they cancel the deal on me? I know if I canceled out, I would loose my $5,000 deposit. I have invested a lot of time and some money in putting this together.

  • Speeding ticket, do you think I could win this in court?

In Washington state I was merging on to a two lane (one lane each direction) highway. This highway has a merge lane. I had to speed up to safely merge into traffic. There was one car in front of me and several behind. The officer was coming towards me on the approaching lane of traffic. He also had traffic in front of him and behind. He whipped around and gave me a radar ticket for going 67 in a 55 zone. How can I make sure he got the reading from my car and not one of the other ones in his lane or mine? I am pretty sure I was not going that fast. When I saw him, I looked right away at my speedo and it was just over 60. Another point of concern, I was not familiar with this highway and there is only one speed sign on about 6 miles of road. I thought the law stated that you are suppose to merge at the speed of traffic. Do you think I have a case? Thanks

  • Does title insurance protect you?

I am buying a house in WA that is a short sale from the lender. I know there are leans on the house. The builder left town and didn't finish the house completely. The seller (bank) will provide title insurance as part of escrow. Am I protected from any leans? Is there anything else I need to worry about with this transaction? Thanks
