  • When Jesus healed someone whose faith healed them?

If it were the faith of the person being healed then why didn’t they heal before Jesus showed up?

Why in fact would Jesus be required at all, it seems obvious that something inside these people healed them?

Was there an instance where Jesus couldn’t heal someone due to their lack of faith?

  • What was Christ trying to tell us in these verses?

    Luke 17:21

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you

    John 14:20

At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

    John 10:34

Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

    If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

Please consider your answers carefully because either this is the road to truth or blasphemy.

  • Does unconditional love lead one to having no earthly desires?

I never considered it before until I was studying another philosophy, one whose founder had many great one-liners. I found it remarkable but I’m easily impressed, and expect little from life.

  • If the mountain moves is it still faith?

    Matthew 17:20

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Wouldn’t you know now that the mountains moved?

How is it that faith without results has become a virtue?

  • Could a disciple dedicated to God and good be unknowingly evil?

Recently I received an email that explained how I was a servant of Satan because I preach compassion and love, which according to them are the traits of the “Anti-Christ”

They were especially upset because a poem I wrote in my 360 blog mentioned Maitreya so they referred me to this website.

    http://www.satansrapture.com/maitreya.htm

Which sounds hateful of Buddhist to me.

So if good (compassion and love) are signs of evil then what hope is there?

It seems they try to put us in a position were only one of us can be right. I’d be unconcerned if they seemed a bit more benign.

So my question for all is:

Isn’t there a way for someone so full of self-righteousness to discover whom he or she serve, good or evil?

  • Would it be too much to ask for the block feature to actually work?

There are certain people who's answers are always known before any question is asked.

I tried blocking them but I think it just keeps them from seeing my contacts questions and answers.

I'd like for it to make them vanish.

They can answer my questions if they want to but I don't want to see it, at all.

They can ask questions but I don't want to see those either. I know I'll never change them and they have no interest in what I say.

Out of sight out of mind.

Fewer trolls fewer offensive questions and answers. I don't care about thumbs. If they don't block me then they can read my questions and thumb me down all day I'll never care.

    Just a suggestion.

  • Why can’t the monkey open its fist?

Certain groups of Christians make me think of a film I saw once where a monkey reached into a jar for peanuts but couldn’t get his hand out. The monkey could have opened it’s hand and dumped out the peanuts but struggled for the duration of the film to get his fist out of the jar without dropping the peanuts.

The reason they make me think of this is that they try to save people as if their own salvation depends on it, so desperate that they become repulsive. No one would join such a group unless there were terrible misconceptions in their life to begin with. They are like the nerds of the Christian religion and they are to vocal and by manipulation have become tools of politicians that seek blind decisions.

Other Christians I have had the pleasure of meeting radiate the love of God in dignity and with grace. I want to be like these Christians.

  • Pagans, Wicca especially, do I have an interesting question for you?

I come in perfect love and perfect trust.

Christians today don't know their own history this is a link to a poem over 1800 years old and written by a Christian who obviously was inspired by the Feminine aspect of God, Sophia (The Holy Spirit). I would have posted it here but it is way to long.

It is called “The Thunder, Perfect Mind”

    http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-Kq82UC82dalJBu8l_70...

It makes me think so much of “The charge of the Goddess” but better, at least for me.

Just something to consider as we search together for the divine within us all.

Because as it says in the Charge..

That if that which thy seekest thou findest not within thee,

Thou wilt never find it without thee.

I'd love your thoughts about this amazing poem.

  • What are your favorite quotes from Rumi?

    I have two

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

The minute I heard my first love story I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along.

The first is about how we relate to God, for God is love from within. The second is about romantic love of others, when I first saw my husband I knew him from before even though we had never met.

  • Why do we proselytize?

So many say they don’t care what others think yet this goes contrary to all evidence.

We care a great deal about what others think.

What do we achieve by it all?

    What’s to be gained?

    Do we even know?

    Do we care?

  • Do you find what you seek?

    Luke 11:9

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Christ is cosmic and made no condition on this statement so it should work for everyone.

Do you look at people expecting them to be stupid and find stupid people all around?

Do you look for signs of the end of the world and see them everywhere?

Do you look for work but know it will be hard to find and keep searching in vain?

Do you look for a person to share your life with but know that those you are interested in are flawed and keep being frustrated at what you find?

Could we change our lives by seeking something positive and putting aside our doubts?

Could we change our lives by changing our minds?

  • How many of you have been victims of attempted gang savings?

When I was younger in high school and collage I had groups of Christians usually led by someone I thought of as a friend attempt to save me. My husband tells me the same thing happens in the military except they aren’t as polite.

My oldest child told me today that her friends told her she would go to hell if she didn’t attend Church. For being ten years old came up with an interesting counter point. She told them, “When I’m with people that love me I am in Church, because Church is home, and home is where people love me.” Sorry I couldn’t help bragging her up a bit, she is a blessing.

I’m also remembering a Nun being vexed no end by a couple of fundamentalist that was trying to save her. Do any of you have stories of marauding bands of Christians out on patrol to convert the unwary to their way of thinking?

  • What exactly is the "Word of God"?

If the Kingdom of God is within us then what is the Word of God. Is it superficial to think it's outside of us?

    32 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade ago
  • What is the key to the Kingdom of God?

I'm so pleased that the answers to my last question were very spiritual. Apparently the majority of people believe that the Kingdom of God is within us. Again anyone from any faith that might have different words for the same experience is encouraged to answer.

How do we perceive or even begin to seek to perceive this Kingdom?

    24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade ago
  • Presuming there is such a thing what is and where does one find the Kingdom of God?

It's time to reconsider the basics.

For the purpose of this question I only ask that you answer based on the notion that the Kingdom of God exist. I don’t specify this to disrespect any group. The Kingdom of God could also be considered by any other descriptions that match the experience.

Thank you for your thoughtful answers.

  • Why am I not able to get in touch with my male side, but my husband can get in touch with his female side?

So why do I always hear about men getting in touch with their feminine side but never about women getting in touch with their masculine side?

Sorry if I asked badly, English is my second language.

  • Is God expanding faster than the universe?

Now that we've known for awhile that the universe isn't just expanding the expansion is accelerating and will forever what does that do to your view of God?

    Does it affect the Zodiac?

    Does it affect anything?

If it doesn't matter, why not?
