Help finding my sick cat who s hiding in my house....?
Hey everyone, so my cat is hiding somewhere in my house and I think she may be sick b/c the last time I saw her (6pm 5.17.16) she hadn t eaten anything all day and seemed timid and out of sorts (she s a super friendly cat). I m afraid she s hiding b/c she doesn t feel well and I cannot find her anywhere... As any cat owner knows, she could be behind any piece of furniture, closet, etc.. And I m just wondering if anyone had any tips or like would a dog whistle make her reveal herself,(dumb question probably sorry) any help is appreciated!

3 AnswersCats5 years agoKorean cooking ingredient question?
So my Korean neighbor used to cook up this amazing noodle dish which had long pieces of what she called "mountain meat" - some vegetable she used to harvest around the mountains here in New Mexico. All I remember is the vegetable looked like thin strips of beef and had a lovely chewy texture.
Any ideas??
Thanks

1 AnswerGovernment6 years agoHelp understanding creatinine level associated with acute tubular necrosis?
Hi,
I'm waiting for a call back from my GP but there's a chance I won't hear back until Monday so I'm searching the internet looking for help.
I was hospitalized recently and disgnosed with acute tubular necrosis of the kidneys. My creatinine levels went as follows - 2.0 upon admittance, 2.2, 1.9 and then released and told to monitor through my GP.
Got blood done yesterday and a voicemail today from GP states my creatinine is back up to 2.0.
I can't get in touch with him and I'm wondering how worried I should be? Is this kind of rise common while recovering or does it signal a turn for the worse?
Thanks for any experienced help

1 AnswerMedicine6 years agoBathroom tub hemoraging hot water... Please help! (10 pts)?
Ok, came home to visit mom, discovered old 2nd bathroom in pretty bad repair. The most pressing problem is the tub. It is leaking hot water like crazy, I mean I can't imagine how much $$ is just pouring down the drain everyday. The tub hasn't been used in years and there's significant visible water damage and black mold around the fosit and drain.
I want to try to help her as much as I can but I have NO IDEA where to start. We don't have much money and I know we'll need professional help, but I'm wondering if there's a way to at least cut the water to the tub to stop the flow of damage and waste without cutting off the water to the rest of the bathroom/house?? I have no plumbing experience at all and am just looking for some advice from people with some experience.
Thanks so much for any help!

4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs6 years agoHelp adopting a neighbor's cat?
So my neighbor has a cat that neither she nor her gaggle of partying youths seem to take care of. I know they're on drugs or at least used to be as she told me as much a few years back when we still bumped into each other. The cat "Baby" (I know, right??) loves me and my family. She comes to us for food, water, when it's too hot or cold she tries to come into the house. We built a little fort for her on the porch as we couldn't stand her being unsheltered at night and in the summer/winter. But now I see her ALL the time outside our door, be it 2am or 2pm. She's not up to date on her shots, not even spayed. So my question is, should I try to take her to the vet and get her fixed up, look at bringing her into the house and basically adopting her without my neighbor knowing? Speaking to this family is not an option, as they are crazy... I know you shouldn't take someone's pet, but they don't take care of her and they have 2 big untamed dogs and plenty of drama...
Thanks for helpful advice

4 AnswersCats6 years agoPlease help! Severe alcoholic looking to home-taper and wondering how long it will take?
Hello,
I am a 29yr old caucasian woman with a severe alcohol addiciton who has just been informed by an E.R. doctor that if I don't stop drinking, I will be "on a transplant list soon and dead in 2 years".
I am ready to stop. I am so scared and so ashamed of what I've done to myself.
Stats: I usually drink anywhere from a liter to a liter and a half everyday, all day. Sometimes I have shots of vodka too.
I have been drinking since I was 18, but seriously since I was 25.
The effects that brought me to the E.R. include:
I have lost close to 100 lbs over the past 2years without trying
No appetite because I drink too much
The whites of my eyes have began to yellow at the bases
My skin is super thin
When I bruise or get cut it takes me so much longer to heal than it should
Extreme depression and anxiety
Thinning of my hair
All of these are due to my diminished liver function...
The doctor said I have a small window of opportunity to turn this around, but I need to stop now.
Now, I can't go cold turkey as I am waaaay too afraid of extreme withdrawal.
I also don't want to use a benzoid-based detox program.
I want to taper at home and I'm just looking for some advice...maybe someone has even done this before?
I found this article http://mnalternatives.com/how-taper-off-alcohol.ht... and was going to attempt to follow this schedule. I want this done asap, I am over booze. It just scares and disgusts me now.
thanks for any help,

3 AnswersOther - Diseases7 years agoI've been on my period for almost 4 months now...?
Hi. I've been on my period, which ranges from extremely light spotting to heavy flow, for almost 4 months now. It seems to flare up more for about a week a month, like a regular period, but is still present though lighter for the other 3 weeks out of the month. I've also noticed a few more clots than usual. I am 25 years old, 40lbs over weight, not sexually active and a heavy drinker if any of that info helps. I am planning to see my doc but the waiting list puts me waiting about another 3 weeks. Anyone have any experience with this? Any help is welcomed, thanks!
