  • What is the difference between a 4.0GB 1" portable micro drive and a 4GB USB flash drive?

I am looking at storage devices and I began just looking at USB flash drives. I came across something called a 4.0GB 1" portable micro drive. The description says that the USB contains a 1" micro drive. Is this the same as a 4GB USB flash drive? I it used the same way to store documents, etc? What are the Pros/Cons of this versus a USB flash drive?

    Thank you

  • What is a good at-home-remedy for torn meniscus pain?

My clinical instructor is suffering from severe pain in her knees as a result of a torn meniscus. I would really like to offer her some suggestions for pain relief in addition to the Rx she is currently taking. I do know that there is a surgery, possibly in her future, but at the present time that is not an option. I really would appreciate any remedies that anyone may have used and had some success with. Her position in the clinical field does not allow for her to sit for any period of time; it requires a lot of walking and interacting physically with patients. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for her, I would be very appreciative. Thank you.

  • Korean culture and nutrition?

In the Korean culture do religious beliefs and practices influence the diet (e.g., amount, type, preparation or delineation of acceptable food combinations, such as kosher diets)? Do they abstain from certain foods at regular intervals, on specific dates determined by the religious calendar, or at other times? If the religion mandates or encourages fasting, what does the term "fast" mean (e.g., refraining from certain types or quantities of foods, eating only during certain times of the day)? For what period of time are they expected to fast? Please answer in relation to all questions and preferably you are of the Korean culture or are an expert in the field. Thank you.

  • Can someone please answer this genetics Q and show me the punnet square?

There is a father and mother who have three children: one is a color-blind boy, one is a color-blind girl, and the other is a girl of normal vision. The color-blind condition is X-linked and recessive. What are the genotypes of the three children? What are the genotypes AND phenotypes of the mother and father? Thank you.

In humans, normal pigmentation dominates no pigmentation (albino). Black hair dominates blonde hair. An albino person will have white hair, even though he/she may also have the alleles for black or blonde hair. An albino male who is homozygous for black hair marries a woman who is heterozygous for normal pigmentation and had blonde hair. What colors of hair can their children have, and what is the probability fro each hair color?

In humans, the condition for normal blood clotting dominates hemophilia. Both alleles are sex-linked to the X chromosome. Two parents produce daughters who are all carriers and sons who are all normal. What are the probable genotypes and phenotypes of the parents? Thank you.

  • Please help me solve this genetics Q. and can you show me the punnet square?

An allele for purple flowers is codominant with the allele for pink flowers. The heterozygous phenotype is a purple and pink flower known as a sunset flower. Gene 2 codes for thorns (T) or no thorns (t). If a homozygous thorned sunset flower is crossed with a non-thorned sunset flower, what are the expected F1 phenotypes? What would be the resulting F2 phenotypes and ratios of frequency if two of the thorned sunset F1's were crossed?

The allele for red coat in cattle is co-dominant with the allele for white coat color. The heterozygous phenotype is roan color. Several roan bulls and roan cows are mated. What are the anticipated genotypes and their expected frequencies? Thank you.

In tomatoes the gene for fruit shape has a dominant allele for round shape and a recessive allele for elongate shape. The gene for plant height is on a non-homologous chromosome and has a dominant allele for tall plants and a recessive allele for dwarf plants. A heterozygous tall plant with elongate fruits is pollinated with pollen from a dwarf plant heterozygous for round fruit. What are the expected F1 genotypes, phenotypes and their frequencies?
