  • Which is the greater gift given to a child breastfeeding or the gift of life or something else?

Which is the greater gift given to a child breastfeeding or the gift of life or something else? What was the greatest gift you feel you gave your children, this is open to all parents not just bio-parents Maybe I am naive with this one, I am expecting a baby by the end of the year and last night while reading reviews on breastfeeding techniques, someone wrote I read the greatest gift you can give a child is breastfeeding. Breast feeding is ideal but not all women can accomplish this, because of medical reasons or they are adopting or some other reason. I think the greatest gift you can give in life, or a home to raise the child in that is loving and their needs are met. what is your opinion?

  • Why am I jealous of a pregnant cousin I see once every three years?

I am being brat about this and I don't know why. I have kept this to myself. A bit about me. My husband and I have been trying for kids for 7 years, and after many two surgeries and some needles IVF worked for us. Well in the last 7 years I have watched other family members look at me with pity because I'm not a mom, I watched others have children even one cousin who named their child after the family matriarch which I wanted to do. This cousin is nice and not rude to anyone married three years ago and after 11 months of trying got pregnant with their first child. This cousin quietly told my husband that they were scared that they almost had to get their fertility checked out.

I was upset when he told me this because we did have our fertility checked out, poked prodded and cut, vitamins, weight loss. I once had a nurse look at me and say loose thirty pounds and I will see you then. SHe was wrong the issue was not even my weight.

I am pregnant and happy to be, this cousin announced today that she is pregnant due right before me. I know she isn't trying to steal my thunder. I am just angry, maybe its hormones, any help please....

    How have others handled infertility?

Hubby and I have been trying for four years no contraceptive, we went through all of the fertility tests. He has low sperm count. At this point to have child, we will need a sperm donor or IVF. I am dealing poorly with the diagnosis. The pain in my heart is hard to swallow. I am surrounded by pregnant moms and lots and lots of babies. The anger is building and I need some coping methods other then alcohol. I am eating and eating i have gained 20 pounds in the last 6 weeks since all the information was confirmed. I am angry all the time. He is gone away for work training . I have three cats who keep me comapny. I I work two part time jobs as a care taker and at a book store. and I was thinking of quiting one to cut down on stress then my boss at the bookstore told me to not quit the other. I am praying I am surviving but not living. any advice. thanks

  • Am I being Negative or a realist? Would like imput from guys Please?

Am I being negitive or a realist?

TTC for 3 years and after explaining everything about my monthly cycle to strange Dr, and we got some answers, between the two of us we need some help making a baby. Then last week we were told by his urologist that the only way to conceive is to use a process call ICSI (ICKsy) where they take my eggs, and his sperm laser a hole into the egg and place a sperm in each egg. The cost 12,000 a shot, and isci could take up to three cycles we can only afford one cycle if we choose to do this. The closest clinic that does the procedure is an 8 hour drive.

I am seeking solutions to this situation. Our options are to continue with my dr and do an IUI, which the urologist says in a waste of money. (Hubby has low sperm count.) My dr is saying lets do this.

so I was talking with hubby, options for a bio child are possible. 12,000 for icsi, which may also increase genetic defects. but has an 80 percent success rate.

number two use a sperm donor from a sperm bank which is only about 500.00

try the iui and wait and see.

So Hubby says I am only seeing the negative i see i am being a realist. The time clock is ticking I am 33 and he is 40. Not old but not 20's. any help please.

  • Am confused by a guy, Why would a man buy exspensive earrings for a girl he isn't dating?

All names listed are not their real names. I was engaged to this man tanner, we dated for a year and were suppose to marry last week. the problem is i met this other man through work so i was professional to this client, Danny. well , flirted with the ladies and has a smile that blows you away. well with my job it meant i worked with danny sometimes late at night. He was always a gentleman. He noticed one day that i was wearing new earings. he reached over and touched them and then looked at me and said "I deserved real stones not glass."

I defended tanners choice he can't afford really nice stuff yet, however the earrings weren't cheap.

Well i let it drop, and so had danny I thought then i start getting these texts from danny that he didn't want to be alone and that he wanted to see. me. the project was over and i told him that i was engaged he was presistent so i finally met him for coffee. a very public place. we talked and he said he couldn't stop thinking of me. I told tanner about danny needing a friend he told me to be careful. He trusted me. well forward a few months later phone calls and more coffee. Tanner and I broke up, and i was moving across town. i saw danny a few weeks after this i was in my new place.

well one thing led to another and we slept together. I wasn't looking for attachment. anyhow he would show up every once and while. we went the movies and dinner, and to family BBQ's, he sees other women and I date others. but i can't So out of the blue last week. We woke up after a long party night last night. he rolls over and hands me a box. inside the box are real sapphire earrings. He said the cheap ones got on his nerves. so i traded out the old ones for the new ones. he left and hasn't called me in a few weeks. busy with work he says

i left two messages not wanting to be too needy. so i said whats up i guess your busy.

he called back drunk and left a message. he said" we aren't together. your not my girlfriend. the earrings were just a gift. "

now he is asking why i am avoiding him, he says he doesn't remember calling me. should i play him the message for him . should i return the earrings.

would a man buy earrings for a girl he is sleeping with just because. could he love me?

  • Adoption is my plan A? Is this morally strange.?

Let me explain, my husband and I want kids and we used no contraceptive for 3 years, no child we have been tested and,the trouble is a bit of both of us. we don't want to go thorough IVF because of cost, I feel in my heart a child deserves love and attention and to be safe,. How or what do i say to others who ask questions.

p.s. I don't feel i need to morn my fertility , it is a fact I can't have kid on my own with my husband. also i know i am going to get slammed by the adoption board mainly 7rin, please only comment if you have wisdom to share,

  • TTC for 3 years, something new the slacker's approach?

TTC for 3 years, something new the slacker's approach?

the idea occured to me that perhaps everyone who told me to relax and a baby will happen when you least expect it. Well my faith was weak this morning and after some prayer the idea of using the slacker approach to TTC. So no more self improvement, studying or reading fertility books, just the basic sex and reducing stress. I am experimenting with this for three months. so why do you ask why i am here. I am asking for ways other people use to de-stress. any advice.
